I bought the first roomba. I was impressed. 20 yrs later I bought the Roborock 7s ultra with dock. Unreal. Worth every penny. I had buyers remorse after clicking buy but after set up I’m overwhelmed. No remorse.
I love my Roborock S7 maxV. I have all hardwood or tile floors with 6 dogs and two cats. My floors look perfect. Used to have the iRobot room a 7 and m6 mop and thought that was so good. But this is amazing. I run mine every day and change out the mop pad everyday. Love love love this thing. No smell issue, I just rinse out the dirty water tank each day as well. Thanks for the video and entertainment through out. Always have me 😂
Two problems with this video (not counting Nathan): 1. taking out and cleaning plastic water drain filter built into right hand side of docking station opening is not even mentioned. While this is the most frequently required cleaning task in my experience! 2. statement is made in the video that docking station will notify users if dust bin is full. This is not true. Is there is no sensor for dust bin (while water bins indeed have it). This is explained in FAQ on Roborock website. Yes, it seems hard to believe: iRobots have it, and it seems to be an important function that is missed. But it is what it is: one has to check dust bin for fullness periodically manually.
how to you clean that plastic screen on the bottom right of the charging station? I see it's removable. My sister's opens up but mine does not seem to.
Very happy with my Roborock S7 max V Ultra. I am having problems with the dust collection not going into my dust bag on the dock. All dust is collected into the dust unit on the Roborock. What might be the problem?
My dock station suction of dust is a bit weak and I am suspecting that the channel between the robot and the dust bag got something stuck in there. Someone advised me that there is an access point to this channel secured by two screws at the bottom of the dock that I can check in such case. Also, there is a filter found below the dust bag (once you take it off) that can be easily opened and cleaned by simply rotating the circle shaped plastic piece found there. just wanted to share these two pieces of info as someone might find them useful
I feel like my Roborock “Robert” was amazing first two weeks but since he is struggling: not emptying properly, losing his navigation stating he is stuck when he should not be, and newest alert: please move to better temperature area?! No strange areas for temperature changes?! Pls advise.
Thanks for the great content! Does the dock does a good job keeping the mop from smelling bad? How often do you have to manually wash it? And how often do you have to clean the scrubber?
So I usually clean the scrubber every time I empty out the dirty water tank which is every two weeks or so. Since it doesn’t have a self drying mode aka heating element it relies on evaporation. So it recommended to use Roborock cleaning solution to reduce mold build up or throw it in the washer every month.
@@RobotMasters I see. Thanks for the reply. I see that you started reviewing lawn mowers as I had recommend. I am planning on buying one and will keep watching your reviews to help me pick one.
@@mastaknee1 Yes only had experience with two different models so far. From what I can tell they are designed to maintain your lawn after mowing it fairly short. I think Husqvarna has a 315X model that can handle tall grass and weeds. All the other ones use razor blades to trim the top of the grass.
Hmm, there no solution I can think off unless you add a mild cleaning detergent to help eliminate bacteria growth. I usually empty out after the robot is done mopping.
If you get into the habit of emptying the dirty water container and rinsing it thoroughly at the end of a day's mopping, you'll avoid the smell. Some people are also putting a few drops of disinfectant into the container as well.
Hi RobotMaster, I have the deebot T8 with auto emtpy, and my home is a mix hard/carpet flooring, will this robot do both mopping and carpet cleaning without dripping water on my carpets? how good is the raising mechanism for different carpet sizes? Thank you.
Hello, so the self lifting feature on the S7 is designed for low profile carpets or rubber mats. The mopping pad will be damp so some moisture will get onto the carpet if it thicker or if there a lip around the edges like a bathroom Matt.
The carpeting in our home is very low and I have not found dampness on them when the robot does a vacuum/mop job. I have not even noticed water drips on the wooden floors.
how to you remove the mop pad from the S7 Max Ultra? all the videos I see say to press the buttons on the side of the unit, but there are no buttons on the S7 Max Ultra.
Hi I just got my roborock s7 maxv ultra, the first day cleaning was fine. But the 2nd day cleaning, while it was moving the cleaning, it is producing a squeaking sound. What can I do to remove the sound?
Nathan, I own the S7 MaxV and am trying to buy the Ultra docking station, I heard it would be available today (May 2) but can not find it anywhere. Do you know where I can purchase the ultra dock?
Can you ask Roborock if they the will bring the specs of Chinese version of the S7 maxv (G10S in China) to the rest of the world as plugins? The mop dryer and the water/sewage plumbing to the house system, and the antibacterial water filter. They are game changers! Thanks
Last time I asked them, they said there wasn’t any plans to bring to certain parts of the world. I know Roborock has reserved certain features based on the market, for example the Bagless system that was found on the S7. Anyways we might get lucky and roborock might offer a variation of this model or an update to allow these features later on.
So I found a vender that sells dust bags with a zipper sewn into them to allow reuse. I have one and have been using it for a while, but recently started having issues with auto emptying (not emptying enough if anything st all). Would a warn down bag cause this in any way?
Mine doesn't go into the highest setting max+ anymore, which was audibly a different sound. It was a very loud high pitch sound. It refused max+ (which I loved for carpet. We havw woodfire/ash and pets) due to "filter full" after two months. I did not only put a new filter in, I cleaned the little hidden disk from dust which is accessible when you take the dust plastic box collector out. There collects a disk of dust. So all clean and it still won't sound like before. The high suction and max+ sound now exactly the same. If I knew that the praised high suction power won't last, I would have bought the cheaper without max+.
I have the s7 maxv with the docking for 3 days already and I decided to do some maintenance and I was shocked to see the main brush has some good chunks of it chopped. Checked the bag to see if there are any metal/screw that could have cause such damage. There were 2-3 very small pieces of rocks/tiles. Is it normal? Is the robot affected, should I replace the brush?
Usually the brushes last 3-6 months depending on how often you run the robot. In the robot setting page their a maintenance section that will let you know when the brushes needs replacing. Sounds like your robot found an area with some hidden debris. Don’t think the robot damage, but replacing the brush might improve the robot cleaning performance.
@@RobotMasters Woah, that fast! Thanks for answer! Yeah it was in bathroom in some corner under furniture which has no tiles, found that later after doing a full inspection of the apartment. The performance is still top notch. It also has some scratches on the right side from the same corner which bothers me. Do these robots get scratched in general? I have OCD and I'm trying very hard to keep everything in perfect conditions.
@@saranciuc7717 I am in the same boat, especially something this expensive. Unfortunately you may see scratches on the robot from time to time. I would take a lightly damp towel to wipe of any dirt. At least the robot will stay clean. These robots are pretty resilience to scratches and scrapes, but if they are trying to get out of a trouble area than this may occur.
Thanks for the intro. These videos help. I am little bit worried about how to handle this machine, how to pick it up safely. I see in your video you don't have particular preference. In the safety manual, it says: "Do not carry the product using the vertical bumper, upper cover or bumper". I wonder what do they mean by that? Never touch it when picking it up? PS. The lighting in the video is a bit bad because the camera is toward the windows. :)
You skipped the maintenance of base bottom section. It's very important that you clean the dirty water filter and the rotating brush that cleans the mop. Both are removable. I also advise you to put just clean, warm water (no detergent) in the clean water tank once every 10 cycles. It will help remove the detergent residues from the water circuits.
Nathan, more complaints about the S7MaxV. Oh, not the robot, it is absolutely awesome, but I bought one thinking I could buy the ultra dock May 2nd. Do you know any sites that will sell me the Ultra dock? I tried the ones you recommended but no luck. How about the one you have? Want to sell it? I will make it worth your while.

I Robot patented the dust bin full sensors that's why they can't have it

As of now it currently bundled with the S7 MaxV. There no stand alone unit being sold. Maybe try aliexpress or Alibaba.com

No the Ultra Dock utilities higher quality bag which has a different fitting so it no compatible with each other.
