    Really pulling for this kid, DeSanto. I hear a humbleness that I didn't before. Like all men, he has his flaws; however, unlike some men, he is recognizing those shortcomings and working to correct/improve them.

      Like that ole GI Joe cartoon would say at the end, "and knowing is half the battle".

      Hard to pull for someone that has to work really hard not to be an asshole. He’s acted like this multiple times. Hope he becomes a better person, but I can’t root for him to win

    DeSanto had a great character arc/journey. He apeared in a Suriano interview wanting to shake hands about the whole thing if I remember and Suriano gave massive respect and responded with "that's what it's all about right there". Great moment.

    I love this kid he's tough as nails and exactly what competition needs! The only easy day was yesterday! And the harder you work the harder it is to surrender!

      Man I tell you...this young man has alot of doggg in him an if you can't match his level of intensity .. it could be a long night if he can have patience against micic he could beat micic , he's done it before

      As long as Austin wrestles tuff and gives his all, and he is smart it'll be a decent match. He's Pennsylvania tough and has plenty of time left to win an NCAA title. The weight class is stacked and these guys are getting good matches and he's becoming a strong technician and it's going to take all that and more to beat the number one seeded wrestler. Nothing is impossible!

      He beat Micic when he was out of shape. Just like Lee. Injuries. Desanto will also do well internationally and maybe MMA.

    Bring it together Austin e.g. sportsmanship and talent. No one, absolutely no one is at your fitness level in the wrestling arena anywhere. I see a National champion and a strong international wrestler comin' up soon. People get your BIG screen T.V. and your buttered popcorn ready. This man is improving like a rocket......

    I fucking love watching Austin. I like looking back and seeing this kids incredible improvement at Iowa. The Brands Brothers are really setting Desanto up to become a future Goal medalist.
    Good Job Austin.

    Awesome match, he took it to Suriano who has become a lazy boring wrestler. DeSanto is a pit bull, on his way to a national title.

      @@kenyapineda7067 Desanto won the first match to a lazy boring Suriano, that's when I posted that comment not this past Saturday. I'm from NJ the Paramus area and have been watching Suriano's matches for years in person. I'm glad he finally woke up and started wrestling, it took 3 loses this year to wake him up. He thought he was going to win a national title wrestling like that, no way! He did nothing with Dayton Fix, and Desanto. But he worked hard against Micic. Sometimes it takes a few loses to wake you up, it happened for me.

    I haven't seen him speak so maturely before. He knows he has some issues. I read that he's on the autism spectrum. A guy in Jeopardy was and he celebrated awkwardly and inappropriately at times. But let's face it, most of us watch Austin DeSanto because of his intensity.

      If you know anything about wrestling you'd know that 2 good wrestlers like that are gonna have a slow match. And I'd say the 3 stall calls on Suriano negate your comment pretty well.

    • @72kalvin
      @72kalvin 5 років тому +1

      Suriano kept interlocking his fingers. It’s why Suriano was the one called for stalling. The ref could see what was happening. DeSanto was not stalling.
