My favorite line of anything you had said was the “I bet rankin tastes like this...” as you were disgusted with your energy drink lol I have listened to that set hundreds of times over the years cause I had downloaded all the audio of the full length sets. Hey DJ Ravine, Can you please do a video regarding the best setup for the new M1 MacBook Pro Live streaming ? I'm having trouble trying to figure out the best capture card as there seems to be a lot of issues with the compatibility
Can one bypass the home speakers while streaming, only listening through headphones while pushing the volume through the USB interface into OSB studio? In other words, no need to listen to the playback live simultaneously on your speaker system.
Great tutorial, i'm soon a starting live stream dj but didnt knew you need an audio interface. Do you need to connect an audio interface with evrything? like example: DJS-1000, Nexus, XDJ, Toraiz etc... Sorry i'am a beginner and need to learn allot. Thought you could connect it straight up to your speakers or am i missing something?
If your base is an XDJ-XZ, and you're using a DJS-1000, or other CDJs/XDJ-1000 series, or an AS1, they should all still mix in and feed out your XDJ outputs. The focusrite will already be getting a feed with all of that in your mix if you've set it up right.
I have DDJ SB3 which has built -in sound card. In that case, do I need to additional sound card for streaming? Can I stream in a computer where serato is used?
Does it only have to be RCA to jack cables? My audio was so poor this weekend. Also do I need to use both inputs in front of the focusrite? I used only one this weekend and it was horrendous.
Perfect video, My question is, while using my audiobox i2 as my main interface, my main master output from the controller goes into the box, and out to the speakers and is connected to my laptop with rekordbox. My second master output from my ddj-1000 "RCA" goes into my stationary pc with a builtin realtek audio drivers, is this correct routing? or should i somehow connect my audiobox to become my stream audio, how much of an impact does the 3.5mm -> realtek audio -> stream audio have on my audio quality not being a balanced connection? Thanks in advance
I highly recommend that you don’t have the DJ software (Traktor, Rekordbox, etc) and the OBS streaming software from the same laptop. Use a separate laptop for the stream.
Hi, I get a echo on speakers beacause my controller (M-audio Exponent) is one sound card and my Focusrite is another so I think they both work at the same time with some delay. Can you help? Thanx!
okay, i have a question.. im using the master outputs straight to my rokits, 3 prong cord then straight to obs, but the issue im having is with a microphone. the booth doesn't come out since it's a hardware in, so obs doesnt register the microphone.. so im trying to figure out if i need an audio interface to get the microphone to work or not. If anyone has any answers that'd be awesome!
Would it be best to get a separate computer?( For separate obs settings, etc) We have a computer setup but it's for streaming games...I would love to Not buy another computer but If I have to so be it. THKS Also I have the focus rite 2i2...what type of cables are you using from monitor to focus rite? Ty
Hi guys. Great vid and easy to follow. I get to the point where I actually try to stream to UA-cam/Facebook and this is the point where I encounter a problem. I get a message on youtube saying there is not enough video coming through and I get a similair thing on FB - the video quality is awful. I have a Logitech camera and MacbookPro from aboit 2015. Any ideas?
You're asking too much out of 1 computer you need the Mac for the music and dj software and a PC for the OBS and the streaming that way you spread the load.
John Douglas Mute your laptop microphone. OBS creates a default input with your default input device which is usually the mic. You can click the speaker button to mute that.

Are you streaming on the same laptop that your music is coming from? Or do you have one laptop for streaming and one laptop with the music?

So how do you eliminate other noise from room such as if i talk etc, all i want is music coming through?
