I watched many videos on youtube about this topic and I can say for sure that your video is the most helpful and straightforward. Big thanks!!!
This alone is worth you deserving 1k on twitch thanks for the full tour.
I appreciate that!
The best dj twitch, how to that I ever watched. Thank you for putting this together.
Wow, thanks!
Really love the video and the tips! I just got started doing Twitch streaming and VR Chat djing as well. I just want to say be careful of leaving your mixer by the window with the direct sunlight. I had a space for my setup when I DJ back at my old spot, where I used a one way tint on that window so the light can get in but not the heat. They sell them online or hardware stores. They're normally made for privacy windows but are super great at keeping the heat out.
Edit: I didn't see how old this video was, lol. Nevermind.
thanks for getting straight into the video and not having the usual cliche channel intro =]
Badass! All I need is to check for the equipment and buy it. Can't wait to stream LIVE!!!
Love the personality bruh. It makes the information so much easier to get into. Working on getting my area setup as well. Keep the info coming!
Appreciate it!
Literally the best setup vid on UA-cam for streaming music
I picked up an Allen and Heath mixer with a USB out, pre-pandemic, never thinking I would really need that option. I'm sure glad I did, because I use it on the regular!
Deff comes in clutch! I love your channel btw bro you're crushing it
@@NickSpinelli Our growth has been one of the bright spots of the pandemic. I'm gonna DM you on a collab idea.
yo man this is forreal one of the most thorough and useful videos ive seen on this subject. getting ready for my first stream in about a week, and this video was super helpful. thank you!
Thank you so much for watching!!
Good point about the bass and shakes!
Thanks so much for sharing Nick! Been following you for a little while
Yesss to the Ecamm Live crew! I love the software, we use the superb Interview feature for my interviews on twitch, its great to see DJs using it too. great video!
NICE! 👍🏾
I have one random question! Does the S9 allow you to cue music / audition in your headphones before sending it out to the main monitors??
A big thank you from Seattle 👍!!!
Thanks Nick. Awesome vid. Love the engaging personality.
I appreciate that!
Great video man, thanks! Quick question- when you talk into the mic, doesn't the music from your monitors find it's way into the mic as well?
thanks so so so much as a new dj this helps
Brilliant video, I’m really struggling to wrap my head around setting up a stream. I’ve started collecting vinyl again and dusted off my st150’s 😅. Thanks
Thank you for this video. I've been using my iPhone to stream and have been needing to do some upgrading with everything. It's been on the extremely simple aspect so this definitely helps point me in the right direction.
Glad it was helpful!
Dude you my guy from this point on! Very dope vid!! Keep it up!!
Thanks! Will do!
Great vid… what are those “uplights”?
Man ! I need mad moneys to upgrade my set-up for that kinda thing ! Great info my friend ! I would have loved to Live Stream this past 5 de Mayo... Gotta work on that ! Salud from Spartanburg SC ! 👍🍺✌
Great video Nick! do u use "virtual audio cable" with serato?
Awesome video dude! Can't wait to finally start to stream. I have an analog mixer, was gonna get a USB audio interface for hook up
Nick I use the same mixer thanks to the video you made a while ago. Initially I bought it to use as a microphones source on my a SX2. It is perfect now that I am streaming on my MIXCLOUD account. I use obs on my hp laptop and use my mac to MIX. Fyi after 2 weeks of sounding like I was in garbage can I finally figured it the settings. Live and learn lol. Good video
Haha bro it's such a struggle in the beginning. I waited this whole year to make this video because I wanted to make sure my shit was set up right before I told you guys about it. Shit was tough haha keep crushing Nestor!
Great video dude! I’ve slowly put together a very similar setup and I’m so stoked. It’s worth every penny! I use an interface instead of a mixer. But either way the possibilities are endless!
Pumped to see you stream!
Thanks for this video Nick! Really helpful
I've never considered an external mixer before but this video makes a lot of sense
@nick spinelli 13:36 where can i find the uplights?
Great video! I have been trying to get my streaming setup working. Was looking to use my other cell phone camera and 9mm adapter to plug into my booth output of my external mixer. Challenge is getting the audio and video to be in sync and better quality.for youtube and then streaming on twitch. any advice?
Took your advice and purchased the RCF external Mixer. Thank you for suggesting this!
Thanks for the insight. Salute.
Absolutely great video, Nick!... really helpful!
Hey Nick, how do you gain stage with the RCF mixer without PFL? Do you set the output just into the orange on the master out before you live stream?
fantastic video Nick, very useful tips
Glad you think so!
Please excuse my noob question: What if you’d want to use multiple cam angles, how to connect them all into video capture? Switch views?
Top Notch tutorials Dj Nick like always Dj El Nene de chocolate 👍
Great Video! Got to stop shooting with MJ in the background. Spooky !
Lolll.
lol!
For the mic, you could also remove mic from going to the Serato recording from the settings
What an excellent video!!! Thank you SO MUCH, Nick, for sharing all your knowledge. You cleared up everything I’ve been wondering about!
Ive been slow on getting proper streaming set up.. but why not. Thanks for the info
Get on it homie!! You'll love it!
thanks for the data, great video
Glad it was helpful!
I love that you have a link for the plant in the corner! Lol!!
lmao
I like how you got that kaytranada album on the wall❤️
Great video thanks bud, FYI I believe you don't need to use the HDMI out of the capture card this is just a pass-through port, the video is sent from the HDMI in through the USB to your computer.
Hey Nick do yo have 2 pair of the reloops
Hey thanks for your Tips and tricks. I just started a new Dj gear store and twitch acct
Thank you Nick you just earned a new subscriber!!
Yes thsnk you!!!
Nick.. you are my favorite to watch on here. I think you are in Jersey.. would love to meet you man.
Thanks Nick!!!
What settings would you recommend on the streaming software for the gopro hero 9 ?
Everything should work automatically, but if you wanna color correct it you can totally do so within ECAMM
Thanks Nick, about to start a beast of a DJ platform on Twitch and this was a clear and decisive tutorial to launch off into the atmosphere .
Best content I could find on yt!! Thank you very much for sharing
Bro I appreciate your video!
I am looking to add a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 to my setup soon. I may do a test mix on Twitch to see how it does. Ultimately, I want to be able to stream on Zoom.
Hey Nick, how did you got those vinyl records on the wall?
recordsonwalls.com
This is a great video and something I’m definitely going to look in to doing
I KNOW I’M LATE BUT.. Awesome Video!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank You!
Hey bro, what a good team you have, congratulations, you need to place the brand of the lights that you place on the floor, which are white and have 12 lights each, one says "15" and the other "13" could you tell me what brand and model they are? thanks, regards bro!
awesom evideo bro. Sucks i had to learn everything on my own and now i have it mastered down. But its good for those just starting. Im really interested in your tip about using external mixer to seperate mic from lives to upload to services later without voices.
great video thank u Nick!
look into that Atem mini and maybe skip that card reader. Something to think about to help with minimizing some back end editing too.
Thanks for the tips!! Awesome!!
I’m deff gonna look at that, thanks bro!
Hey Nick. As usual, great video. I'm curious to know on what platforms do you broadcast a private DJ streaming event? Thanks.
Thanks! I use twitch and zoom
How is the sound quality on zoom? I mean is it stereo, compressed, frequency response limitations etc.?
I Really Enjoy your Videos. And subscribed to them. To think I came across your video accidentally..Keep up the good work
Thank you so much!!
Hey Nick good video man .. I was live streaming on Facebook live for a while but getting hit with a ton of copyright claims .. does Twitch allow you free roam or does it operate similarly ?
Very helpful! Thank you for sharing!
Great walkthrough! Ifanyone asks me about my setup I will send them here. Yours is 99.9% identical to mine. Thanks!
Great video, thanks. Any latency between your audio vs video?
Hey Nick. I love the content! I'm a new Dj and am struggling, to find a sturdy table, for my setup, as I like to scratch. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Great advice and tips. I could add a lot of commentary, but my setup is very similar. I don't have a mixer but I use a preSonus studio 24c. Unfortunately it's only a 2 channel which means my mic must be either direct to my PC or through my controller. I couldn't afford 6 channels at the time and the four channel was out of stock, but what the PreSonus gives me is LED level meters and 24-bit encoding. My DJ-808 has since died, but can still serve as an audio Mixer. It has excellent Mic features, so I'm very likely to pass my DDJ-SSX3 output through a channel on it.
But one of your best tips was putting $100 upgrades into perspective. A person needs to enjoy DJ streaming as a hobby first, and then they can invest in it to a level that can make it successful and potentially profitable second. It's worth doing right, and anytime $100 can save recurrent hassles, struggles, and fails during streams, it's a bargain.
It's one thing to make do with what you have because you have to. It's another to lose the ability to recognize value going forward. Some money just isn't worth saving and almost always that is true for the corners people cut in streaming and gaming setups. If a person is hoping to make money without spending money then streaming is not for them. On the other hand, if a person thinks throwing money at all of the most expensive accessories will guarantee success they are likely going to fail as well because while setup is important, content is crucial. It's about getting quality content reliably to viewers in a sustainable way. The sustainable part is why it doesn't pay to be cheap, and I see that missed time and again.
do you know what set up to use if you want to stream music video sets?
Great video, and thanks for listing the gear used.
Excellent Advice- Thanks Bro
My pleasure!
What about music copyright on Twitch or FB? What's the policy about that? It's getting down after all the live streams, or muted? Or none of that?
Great info, I'm starting to buy all of the equipment and I wanna start streaming asap, all I have for now is Tripod, camera and Pioneer studio monitors. lol Of course 1 mixer and 2 turntables, but that's must have.
Hey nick great video does twitch copy right any of the music your playing during your stream
Thanks! You won't get any strikes while playing but if you leave the recording of your live stream up on your Twitch page it may get a strike.
Thanks for sharing! I think before having two MacBook pros and also an iPad Pro just for twitch interactions ….. you can just get a touchscreen monitor and use that as a display with one of your MacBooks. You’d have the same ability to see twitch chat. But, instead of costing $800-$1100 it would cost about $300 and also be about 50% larger.
An 11 inch screen has about 51 inches squared surface area.
A 15 inch tiny screen has 96 in squared.
A 20 inch screen has 171 in squared.
I see an asus made 21.5 inch screen for $235 on amazon right now. That’s 197 inches squared of surface area. It’s literally four times larger than an 11 inch iPad and it’s about 60% cheaper.
Nick, luv you bro!! I was wondering what your thoughts are on TribeXR, the VR DJ space. I was thinking of starting my DJ journey that way before investing in physical hardware so that I can learn how the DJ controller works and so on.
Hey Nick, this video was on and poppin my friend! You've earned my sub bro! Keep up the good work.
Much appreciated!
Nick, can you tell us where you got the up lighting from, thanks.
Great vid thanks for the share.
Well done and very informative. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very cool video! Thanks!
Hi! Thanks for all the advice I like all your videos!! but I was wandering here were you said to use 2 computers, one for djing and the other for streaming songs/vids, if using a second computer for downloading how do you use/take the downloaded files from one computer to the other? how do the 2 computers communicate? thanks again!
@Nickspinelli.. I just saw this reply due to being new in using gmail which shows emails from social media in a separate tab which I just discovered! ( and I was wandering why I never get any feedback on my comments) anyway is the gift still on? if not no prob, keep up the good vibes!!!
You need more subs you are FREAKN' dope AF. Made this so easy.
I have a mix 5 compact mixer and it doesn’t have a usb connection. Would I use a focusrite and the external mixer at this same time?
Nick, I DJ on a Mac, but want to stream on my new gaming Acer PC. Should I choose the program I use based on my Mac or my PC? Thanks!
PC for sure! I’d run OBS
Awesome bro 🔥🔥🔥🙏 I have a pioneer Ddj sx3 with a Mac Pro obs software and obs for iPhone but my problem is when I am streaming I can’t communicate with the users plus because I am using the iPhone I am getting a mirror image . I have also tried the go pro option but not able to steam on Mixcloud or twitch it is getting very annoying now
gopro has a app now for your computer that allows you to use it as a webcam!! google the gopro webcam app!
@@NickSpinelli thanks for the response bro I will check it out
Hi! I’m still confused on how you stream with 2 laptops. Do u need to connect them together? What are you using to route the audio from ur dj software to the other Mac (with obs)?? How do u do that?
It's all about my external Mixer. I plug my DJ Setup into the external mixer and the external mixer connects to the streaming laptop using a USB
@@NickSpinelli... I think I can do this same thing with my Yamaha Mg12fx mixing board it has a use out of the back but I’ve never tried before all my friends just use they phone into a small device or something it’s so many ways to do it I just want the easiest lol
Very useful...great tips 👍🏼
Thank you!!
Does your mic pick up sound from your studio monitors?
can i route my booth out to a line in audio interface and then add that line in as an input in obs?
Hi Nick, I watched your video awhile back and bought myself a mg10xu mixer. I also bought a shure beta 58a and I am finding I will have crank the gain to maximum in order to get enough sound level on the laptop. What has been your experience with your shure 58M to the RCF mixer? Did you had to run a mic activator like the cloudlifter to your gear or do you simply adjust the sound level from the software while cranking the gain to maximum? Thanks.
You don't need to have a HDMI cable coming out of the HD60s+. That USB cable powers the unit and also send the video feed to the computer. That output is only for when you need to also send your video to a tv or something for gaming if your capturing video from a gaming console for example
My external mixer doesn’t have usb but I have a focusrite sound card that does .. can I just plug my external mixer output into the focusrite input and then go USB out from the focusrite into the computer with OBS or Ecam on it?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Great video
Do you think my Mac would do both? 2014 i7, 16gbs ram, 1tb ssd
Nick. I think the last thing I wanted to ask you is , do you have your computer connected wired or wireless for streaming?
wireless, verizon fios is FAST
What brand of studio speakers r those?
Thanks for this
