I used to think the same Trust me I've met him he's not what he shows on youtube like nice sweet guy surely a wonderful and super talented dj and producer no doubt about it.. I've also met few bigger djs than him i wouldn't name them but like they are definitely massive djs and producer even more famous and successful than luke who are just so down to earth and super friendly but not this guy he's got lil attitude problem... again not trying to bad mouth him or anything i have alot of respect for him for his works.. but as a person i don't know, humble is not the word i would use lol

For any new streamers getting into things, please understand that you might not get as many viewers as you think you will when just starting out no matter if its DJing or playing a game for an audience overtime the numbers will grow as long as you show them that you are working hard on maintaining that online presence for them cause if you aren't serious about it then people watching wont take your channel as serious as well so keep in mind I've been streaming for 3 years and i average 10 viewers to 15 a day and even though I wish it could be higher It took a lot of dedication and perseverance to keep my mind focused on having fun and streaming for the small amount of people who come by rather than being discouraged by streaming a whole year and averaging 2 or 3 viewers per stream remember those 2 or 3 people with be the back bone for your success in getting that bigger audience so never quit and dont be discouraged it takes quite some time to get to a comfortable spot yall.
Thanks for reading your homie Taidus

First time streamers be sure to tweak your output settings (resolution, bitrate, etc.) so you have a stable stream with no dropped frames. OBS has a huge community of helpful people with lots of tutorials to make sure your viewers get to see and hear the best of your performance.

@@magikgee3066 little bit of trial and error. first I'd say check your upload speed and set the bitrate to about half that. 30 fps 720p is fine, 1080p60 would be the top end if you have the bandwidth. 320 kbps for audio. Constant Bitrate is best, and overall you're trying to get 0 dropped frames with as good visual quality as your equipment can handle.

I'll dig into it! My question is how do you set up audio where you can speak into a mic without it picking up the music from your monitors? I know you can directly stream the music from mixer to computer, but when you speak into the mic, wouldn't it create an echo effect on the listener's side (hearing music pumped from mixer and then background music from monitors as you're talking)?

Thanks Mixmash Records and Laidback Luke for this wonderful experience and for the the generous prize which has made the quarantine more bearable, I can't wait to play some grooves on the Denon Prime Go.
Regarding today's topic for those who are using Windows and Android,
I am using for connecting the Android phone as a webcam to the PC a software called Iriun Webcam, it works great only with the Wi Fi connection (no cables needed) and it supports up to 4k resolution, the software is basically free, they add a small logo on the right corner of the screen and if you want to remove the logo it will cost you around 5 Euro, the rest of the setup is the same, OBS for streaming and a external sound card for capturing the sound from my Denon DJ Prime 4

Heres what I'm doing, (Im a musician and a DJ, drummer, guitarist, etc) so I have a separate mixer that all my microphones run into and then I run the output into the iRig setup thing. (You can also plug a mic into the mic port on your DJ mixer) Through my main mixer, I can still have monitor outputs for my headphones, and when I'm DJ'ing, I use the headphone output on my controller. You can also set levels with an external mixer that's why I recommend it, and EQ of course. Keep up the great work Luke!!!

I am curious as to why you chose to use the iRig Stream when the x1800, and assuming the x1850 have fairly robust interfaces with a standard USB cable. I always like to keep my signal chain as clean as possible. I generally use the USB interface out of the x1800 mixer to record and stream my sets, this way I am keeping the signal in the digital domain all the way to the audience. Other Pros include less cables, reduced RFI in the analog domain, and fewer places you need to mess with the gain throughout the signal chain. Great video!

Aside from being a DJ and Music Producer, I'm also a game streamer and I wanna share some more few tips for my fellow DJs who are new to streaming:
    - The Facebook Live algorithm is pretty wonky and if detected a certain licensed/copyrighted song, it will stop your stream unlike other platforms like UA-cam or Twitch.
The best way to stream via Facebook Live is with your speakers (even though that's not highly recommended.) Your mileage may vary for some other countries. Otherwise, stream your sets on Twitch or UA-cam.
    - You can also spice up your stream with some chatbox and alerts with Streamlabs (you can still use those widgets with your existing OBS setup without moving to Streamlabs OBS.)
    - And for Android users out there who are looking something similar to OBS Camera for iOS, you can use DroidCam (paid app, but supports both wired and wireless.)
These tips might already be already given by somebody in this thread but it's still the thought that counts to help fellow DJs rocking at their houses!
Kudos to LL for the great video on how to get started.

I think DJing over the internet is great. It allows so many more people to enjoy your mixes. Actually, I think the best thing for me at least was DJing in virtual reality. Theres a whole world out there of people in avatars physically dancing in the game to the music you play. Its been around for a long time now but its helped with the crowd issue (like being about to see if people enjoy your sets) Set up isn't too bad. If you are on PC you can grab a focusrite instead for your soundcard as I know not all motherboards support USB C. Protip: use streamlabs rather than obs normal there is a lot more you can do with it as well as custom themes available for free.

Do I necessarily need an audio interface or can a iRig stream be enough to stream with an instrment? How do I then monitor the sound? And also be able to speak to the audience?

    Alternatives to OBS, please?
On my Mac, being so old and outdated, OBS cannot be installed.
I actually just want that audio coming directly from Traktor software that I use.
    Thank you!

Hi @laidback Luke, how tall is the tripod you're using, I bought one but it's not tall enough. I love how yours looks, any chance you can check how many inches it is? :) Thank youuuu!
