I made a dolly that looks like the twin of yours (I’d not seen your video…but probably someone else’s). Anyway, my dolly flips over too easy so imma add a couple boards w supports underneath to keep ‘em together) to give my boat a larger platform to keep it from turning over so easily (in case strap is not super tight). It’ll add a little more weight to dolly but that’s not really an issue.
Badass job!!! If you move your dolly closer to the center of your boat the front end won't be as heavy also side note I'm just west of Lincoln Nebraska and I also have a 1542 topper with a swamp runner on it id definitely like to do a boat tour trip with you guys me and my buddies have a few boats running down the rivers around here
Thanks! I've been getting into the whole mud boat/small jon boat thing for hunting and fishing. Hope you were able to dodge the tornadoes a week ago out there. What do you guys fish for on the rivers out there?
We mainly run the Platte for cats we get a few gar and tons of Asian carp tornados missed us but not so good for west Omaha I run a swamp runner it's a blast welcome to the other side lol
@@ToadControlTv I saw West Omaha and Lincoln got it. It's been a bad year for tornadoes. You guys based out of Omaha? I always thought the Platte was almost too shallow to fish but I suppose not, eh? Sucks about the Asian carp but they sure do make good bait and are pretty tasty when you smoke em.
@@DeeplyDrivenOutdoors I'm west of Lincoln about 10 minutes but make the hr drive to Louisville and then head up stream usually fish the small inlet creeks if you can find the holes in the plate they will be there right now there's some low spots usually running in 2ft of water but the holes can get 8ft deep and hold some decent size kitties
It works alright! Got the idea from your video. I think, with a 14 ft boat and mud motor, it may be a bit of a heavy rig for it but it works great for moving short distances
@@DeeplyDrivenOutdoors sick. I just picked up a tracker 1032 and rebuilt the dolly a bit different. Instead of the eyelets I used angle iron on all four corners and use two ratchets straps. I was having issues with the eyelets busting through the wood. I decked out the boat, I have some videos posted up on my channel
Kinda like a harvested deer, kinda heavy but beats the heck out of dragging it
@@clayton203 Exactly. My boat is a little heavy for this dolly but if I had to get it im somewhere, I could

I added a couple support boards to mine and it helped a lot with loading the boat on the dolly
Looking good bud!
Thanks!

Looks good man! How’s it workin for ya?

@@Sk8Riffer Very nice. I also had an issue with an eyelet busting thru the wood so the angle iron would be more substantial
