- When you add a Billet flywheel and cam to the 98CC
Installed a Performance cam, 22 lb springs, and ARC billet flywheel in the Coleman 98cc 3hp powered Rascal lite minibike. Tested the bike from 0 to 30 and top speed to see if the parts added any performance.

Hope you do a decent little bit of detailing when you do a port video! I have never done any porting but wanna try it on one of my 212’s but kinda scared to start just shaving metal off lol

Hey brother, big fan here!!! You think opening up the exhaust and intake runners as well as polishing the exhaust port would do anything on one of these lil 3hp? I was also considering shaving the head down a lil since the piston is so far down in the hole. My buddy and I have a lil contest on who can make there 3 horse the fastest with stock internals lol
What where did you get these parts for it I've got one of these 3hp laying around.
I have one of those valve covers and rode with it and it leaked a lot, dose yours do that?
Is this all ok with the stock rod?
Would you be able to put a link to the short header exhaust?
Is it better to have mini bike with coil springs.
I got an rt200 with a 10 tooth in the front a 50 tooth in the back and I want more torque if I go up to more teeth in the front would that be better for what I'm looking for
You might consider the head work also. I did that for mine and it’s a rocket now. I really need to get the billet flywheel.

How fast does it go with the 98 cc engine totally stock?
@black66 would it be possible to run a build like this with the stock exhaust to keep it quiet? or will that have too much back pressure?
Yeah sure you could use it but it might slow it down a bit.
I am doing the same job on my rascal lite can you telll me what the torque was on the flywheel? 25lbs? Or if anyone knows
If play around with the back sprocket or put a torque converter on it maybe you'll get more power.
I had a bt200x with a 5/8 shaft thought that was weird. Bike FN scoots
Some of the old Coleman's are like that . They have a 196cc motor on it
You dont need to run a key on the flywheel. You can just line up your timing and torque it down the wherever you want it.
Yes that is true but the key gives your a reference point to know how much you are advancing the timing. Check out the playlist I have quite a few timing videos

Oh and where do you get the billet flywheel? i have a ct100u governor bypassed with header and performance air filter and i don’t want my stock flywheel to go kaboom

So just to clarify, you can use a stock 79cc Predator cam on a 98cc engine from gomotorsports? (Trying to just eliminate the plastic cam and use heavier springs to eliminate possible float due to intake and exhaust mods.) (No flywheel or cam grind mod)
i would assume. i think he just sent it out to get reground into a bigger lobe and duration.
so that is a reground hf 79cc cam?
Ive always wanted to see these engines with a torque convertor on them, you should test that out!!
They run pretty good if you swap the stock red spring with a green spring in the torque converter

@Black66 Please help me out. I'm currently making my mini bike street legal and also modifying for performance. I'm having problems with charging coils to recharge the battery. How or where can I get a flywheel that can handle higher rpms in a de-governed 196 engine with 26lb valve springs, and billet rod? Or are there coils that I can upgrade to that will charge in a billet or upgraded flywheel? I would be extremely grateful for your feedback

Hey i have a question about the 98cc im trying to get a performance cam for it but i gotta send the core but the stock cam is plastic. They don't want the plastic cam.. the core is the cam right?. I need help bro.. thanks im robert btw.. i love the videos ther badass..
Hey i’m here to help! I’ve never done it before but i’m pretty sure you have to get a stock cam from a 79cc predator (it’s all metal) and then send it to affordable go karts and they will send it back all ground down

Not that I know of but the stock rod is very strong in the 98.

I bet an aggressive port job, bigger valves, header & gearing would really open up this motor.

Man I used to have a lil Coleman ct200u or one of those models I wanted to mod it out but I got rid of it for a bigger grom type bike 😂 😢

I would say yes on the 104 but not totally sure about the 105...🤔

@@Black66 so there's not any extra steps like purchasing one and sending it on to be modified, I can just purchase that one
You should get a bigger tooth clutch to help out with the top speed

Drill and tap it a bigger size
Helicoil.
Helicoil is still drilling and tapping... if you've never done a Helicoil it's a "PITA"
