I dont understand why people are still suffering from poor nutrition and starvation in India, when there are obvious means to abolish hunger in this country!!! Something is broken in the system. Cooking foods in such large batches helps obviously, but setting up food banks and providing farm aides are another way as well.
The number of such places is infinitely lesser than the population. For comparison, the entire country of Sweden has lesser people than just one city in India like Mumbai or Delhi. So, it puts things into perspective as to how many people there really are, in a billion and a half. It's hard to uplift such a landmass out of hunger completely...however, India has been making great progress ever since its independence from colonization.
We have 142 crore peoples to feed just imagine then comment, govt provides 50 crore people monthly ration , it's very easy to comment, most of the people also benefits from these type of temple kitchen & it's in our culture , you can found small temples kitchen in Crores not even in lakhs

I have been to Akshaya Patra kitchen in Telangana and I was astonished to see their service and cleanliness. They are serving free hot meals to nearby government schools around my area. Jai Shree Krishna, Jai Prabhupada.
I came across a news wer Muslim restaurant mixed infertility/ impotency medicine for Hindu customers. They spit n adulterated food served to hindus. I really feel scared after that to eat from a Muslim restaurant.
Lord Jagannath ‘s temple in Puri, Odisha serves food to over a lakh devotees everyday. However, the cooking is done on wood fire from the bottom and solar cooking from the top. There is no use of oil in the cooking.
Obligatory message: These places aren't unsanitary, the food they make is perfectly safe to eat, their religious rituals include maintaining cleanliness, these meals aren't disgusting, and large scale cooking is very different from industrialised cooking.
