Countries like India are a gold mine with natural resources. People around the world are yet to realize the contributions made by the poor workers, who are unfortunate due to their circumstances. They are the people that allow some of the better placed nations to live their luxury lives and use high end products, from food, clothing, leather goods, perfumes, arte facts and so much more. I wish people respected that. Thanks for educating people with these well crafted documentarys

Singapore is one of the most prosperous countries in the world when just 60 years ago it was one of the poorest. They offer free health care and very good health care, housing, best schooling etc...because the country OWNS MOST OF THE MAJOR COMPANIES.. ALL THE PROFITS, DON'T MAKE AN ADANI OR AMBANI RICH, BUT IT MAKES EVERY CITIZEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF in Singapore! Indians have been lead to believe by the current PM and this government to give all these major corporations to the super rich like the Adanis and Ambanis. They are robbing the country!! Indians need to wake up and stop this theft!!! Singapore also pays their government employees a good pay so there is no corruption and that they do the work and not sleep on the job. India needs to follow the example of Singapore!! The current government and PM are leading India in the wrong direction!!! They are just enriching the super rich in India!!! Open.your eyes to the poverty in India!!! They could live like the people of Singapore!!! But in India the super rich are robbing all the wealth for themselves and the PM constantly talks to the Bharkts that is the way to do it. Brainwashing them!!! The one man responsible for turning Singapore around wanted no monuments built after him. He wanted no buildings or statues of him or anyone else! Most Indians have not gone to Singapore to see what they too can have!! But we have leaders in India that want to be treated like Gods! Statues all over the place of them, clothes of theirs in temples!! SICK!!! It is not rocket science! Just look if Singapore can do it, why not India???? When the man that changed Singapore died, he asked for a simple as possible ceremony and no kind of pictures of him like you would see in India!! Please study how Singapore was able to create a government that takes good care of their citizens!! It is a beautiful country in spite of the huge population with no natural resources. The Singapore Airport itself is the best in the world!!! That is a fact! India has so many resources. But the super rich like the Adanis and Ambanis are robbing the country blind. If India was able to keep those profits they could use the money to build better hospitals, schools, transportation. Singapore has the best public transportation with subways that go all over the place. They were able to built the best airport because they had all the profits from their companies to use for these projects! India gives these projects to the Adanis and Ambanis and then does not have the money, majority of the people live in poverty!! Singapore used to have slums too, but today they have none! Every citizen has a place to live and get the best health care.
Please get the word out!!! Stop the nonsense going on in India today and robbing the country!
India just needs a good leader like Singapore had. He was hands on! He would have immediately looked into the matter with the quality of the food the Railways was providing and fixed the problem!! He didn't go flying around the world in luxury with his Nepali boys. He never asked for accolades or parades for himself!! He was constantly working behind the scenes to improve the country!!!
It is shameful and wrong that so many people in India have to live in poverty! Even the leader of the country's wife lives in poverty while her husband lives in the most extreme wealth!! They say the plane he uses to travel around the world is the most luxurious of all planes used by world leaders. It cannot be compared to Air Force One in decor and luxury. Of course pictures of the inside of the plane are concealed from the public. Canadian prime Minister and Germany used a regular plane when they came to India. As did a lot of European leaders. They are treated like Rajputs when half their country is starving, doesn't have proper health care, poor infrastructure etc!!! Such nonsense! The Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi reduced himself to nothing as he felt if the majority of the poor live that way, why should he live in such luxury??? India dominated world textile and fashion till the 1800s, these designs have changed little since then. Google how 'chintz' from india seeded what eventually became the fashion industry in Europe

India makes the jasmine oil and sandalwood, and then it is sold to France, who make a perfume in a bottle and sells it for thousands of dollars!! India needs to manufacture their own perfume and make all the profits.
Its the years and centuries of perception that sells. Unfortunately the reputation of the nation and its people makes all the difference. Same products would not even make 20% of the profit they make from France.
Who would buy a perfume made in India? India is extremely untrustworthy and unethical in anything Business related. It's a place where people do not wash their hands and still eat with them. They should be Happy that at least some things and some ressources get Imported from India. They need to progress to at least 20th century social standards to be accepted as a manufacturer. Their smaller cities and villages are still stuck in the middle ages and woman and even men are still treated like slaves in many places where the caste System is still going strong.
Western media and our own people's already harmed India's image so much that despite all quality and everything no one will buy like other luxury brands of France
Try the perfumes from Zak and Dixit. They are Indian and their products sell out in hours.

After watching this, it struck me how hardworking the less fortunate are, earning so little while middlemen and large brands reap hefty profits, enabling the wealthy to sustain their luxuries.

The men collecting the fox nuts are extremely underpaid for the harsh work they do! Poor man said we are poor so we have to do this kind of work. And the other guy saying what can we buy with that amount of money, it made me so sad bc I remember being broke af and my husband, myself and even our 5 yr old son at the time were picking up pecans to go sell at a pecan plant just to get food for dinner and it was back breaking, with a better setup it wouldn't be so bad, but it just gave me bad memories as I know what the poor man is feeling.

Thank you for giving us such a wonderful documentary on India 's expensive industries, I am myself a Indian but didn't know half of them I didn't know that Chess sets are made in Amrit sar, that the best ghee is Bilona ghee and Jasmine oil is made in Madurai, India, and it is sent to Paris for fragrance in perfume industry there .How less organized, though having so much skills, have less earning power, they are hard working and have a low carbon footprint, I am so happy that India has such beautiful industries.

I have to admit, I shed a tear at the hardship these workers face. They are painfully unappreciated. Also if you have never tasted it, Ghee is food from the heavens. I miss desi ghee soooooo much

I think at 9.08, the picture shown on the right is not sandalwood. It's thanaka from Myanmar. The bark of the Thanaka tree is used in Myanmar by grinding it on a special stone grinder and mixed with water to wear as a natural sunscreen/ cosmetic.

In Manipur state, what happene is this Makhana considered as one of the tastiest food, they used in Eronba dish, chutney etc. But eat only fox nuts soft layer, after all fox nuts are mnot mainly used.
Saffron bulbs can be planted all over north India especially hilly states.They are beautiful to look at after extreme winter months.

right. but did you ask how much the owners of 'these products which are exported for millions and thousands of dollars outside' , pay the workers?
You need a minimum of 5 acres of land to make a decent profit in this cultivation. Palm cultivation usually requires low manpower compared to other crops. Only 2 cycle harvests in a month. Good rain or water sources are crucial, and the price of the fruit bunches might vary depending on supply demand. International politics also can influence the price.
Not a single mention of their wages.
It's interesting how although most of these things aren't indigenous to the subcontinent, it still produces the most of it.

Unevenness and asymmetric chess pieces ♟️ can make a difference, Offcial or not. Only chess players can understand it. Hard to explain.
This is not even an extreme example. For a wine to be called Bordeaux, the grapes have to be grown in an organic fashion in certain areas of France. They are much more expensive than equivalent California wine. However, the end result is pointless as even experts have failed blind tests countless times. At least here you are getting bespoke chess pieces hand built.
