WHAT
You deserve a lottery for this
Nice vid as usual! And just a little "extension" on your volume curve automation. (At least this is how i do it and find VERY helpful). Never ever automate the actual volume. Insert a gain plugin instead, and automate that. This way, you keep the full controll over the volume fader even after you have "automated the volume".
Wow holy shit, that is such a good idea!! I’m always hesitant to automate for this exact reason 😂 thanks so much!
@@FuqqKd No problem at all my friend! 👊
Thanks for that comment, very true
Great idea
Logic actually has this built in, it’s called relative volume and it’s under the main tab signified by a plus-minus sign
That tip about changing vocals into midi is so useful!
it blew my mind!
Exactly!
As a drummer who records his own takes I can’t thank you enough for telling me about logic remote. You sir, are a life saver.
I believe it is only on iPhone? Is it free and officially ? Or 3rd party? I can not check because i am not an iPhone user :(
@@jazzybeeff possibly! I have an iPhone...
It's on iPad as well. It's nice like a remote control for your daw that you can fully mix in but the plugins all look cheesy when you pull them up. If you have an Apple computer you can mirror your monitor on your iPad too. Then it's just like a touch screen monitor.
@@afrosheent3arcmichael69 thank you but i do not have any mobile Apple device :( but thank you for the information🙏
Same here! I'm gonna go and buy my first iPhone 😂
Every time I watch one of your videos I learn soooo much. Thank you very much for sharing all your insides and knowledge. This is just awesome! Blessings from Germany.
Thank you for your video. It is obvious that you love what you do. It is easy to follow your tips and your joy is contagious.
SO glad to finally find someone good at explaining these things!! thank you thank you for all of these!!

Possibly the BEST video I have seen in a LOOOONG time! Outstanding value!
I've been veiwing your content for a few years now and I just wanted to say I absolutely love your videos Nathan.
They are comprehensive, have Great structure, are to the point (and without any unnecessary fluff), and are cleanly edited. I love the minimalism. After all, less is more.
On a platform filled with so many of these content creators, it's great to find one you click with. But also who genuinely cares about sharing knowledge. It shows, and so does your hard work, so thank you!
WOW, this is probably the most informative and useful video ive ever come across for logic tips. just amazing, i learned so much. thank you!!!
That automation curve trick is nuts. I was like "huh that synth already sounds good" but adding that curve made it so cinematic!!! So cool
Happy New Year and THANK YOU for these killer tips!👍👍👍
Tremendous gratitude to you for sharing so much knowledge with me and many others, Sensei Nathan! Would you please teach us the basics of what mastering is and your recommended steps to take with a completed mix before releasing it?!
All of these are awesome, as a composer the Chase MIDI is something I’ve been frustrated about for friggn years !! Thank you!
You saved me a lot of time with that note chasing tip, didn’t know how to do that so thank you man
This is by far the most useful video for Logic Pro X that I've come across. Thank you very much good sir!

Omg. Tip 6 blew my mind. I don’t play any instruments well enough to record, but I can sing and have so many ideas. I found it so daunting to do it the slow way. Thank you!! Subscribed.
A lot of great Logic tips squeezed into one video. I’ll be trying most all of them. Thanks!

Lot of great tips man, thanks.
Wish I could double like this video - thank you so much for these. Absolute game-changing.
Really enjoyed this. Super useful and fresh tips. Thanks.
1 year later I listened to it/ watched it again. It was necessary as I had forgotten things. Very helpful and useful!
hey man cant thank you enough. i tried to change the buffer and was frustrated i just did that low latency monitoring and it sounds on time everything is smooth. God bless you brother
One of the best tutorials I’ve seen thank you🎉🎉
Extremely useful for me as I knew only one tip quite well, especially as I am recording a lot with MIDI. Tips about e. g. Latency, Logic Remote, well all of them are really great, but: as I‘m not sitting at the computer I‘ll have to watch them a few times respectively go to the computer and go through them. The very first will probably be tip number 8 that I‘m going to adjust! Super, super. Thank goodness, Nathan is out there in the universe.
Terrific video Nathan. Keep up with the good work!
I've been using Logic since Studio Vision Pro went kaput yet only today have I learned about the MIDI Chase function. Thank you NJL! This is huge.
Logic remote alone for voice over artist with at home studio is worth watching this whole video (also covert audio to midi) . Pain point solvers. Thank you for sharing. You are made of gold and magic.
This is really a great video. Great tips! Thanks!
Fantastic tips. Thanks, I subscribed.
WOW THIS VIDEO IS GOLD!!! THANKS MAN!
Best Logic video I’ve seen this year!
Another great video with a ton a value Nathan! My big takeaways are 1. The Logic Remote wow is that gonna help a ton for recording vocals like you said.
2. Converting audio into MIDI. I play keyboard but what a quick an fun way to get an idea into your daw to starting working. 3. The catch MIDI setting. It’s always bother me that MIDI doesn’t play unless it’s starting on the MIDI note. Thank you for highlighting this feature!
Hope you have a great day!
As a beginner with Logic, many of the terms you are using are beyond me, but I think this was a great video. It has motivated me to try a couple of your tips for my own personal projects. Thanks and keep on sharing your wonderful knowledge.
This was great! Will use some of these tips tonight!
Killer video. Appreciate all of these tips and tricks! Would love to see more

This vid was great, thanks Nathan
The metronome division for slow tracks is an absolute game changer, thanks so much! I'd previously been downloading double time click tracks and adding them as a track to Logic, haha.
