You did well to get the tensioner out, without putting it into the service position. We replaced my tensioner which was rusted, and the idler for good measure. And put a new belt on (i ended up putting another belt on because the guy who meant to do it, messed it up). Really hard to get to the tensioner bolt. This video doesn't show you how little space we have at the front, or how bloody sharp all the edges are 😂
Hello! I really appreciate you making a new video about this car, i've just purchased the same Audi A4 cabrio 2005, 3.0, and mine doesn't have the roof in working condition, i will have to check what's wrong with it, how can i contact you i would like to talk with you about the car
Hello and thanks for the video! My problem on my a4 is that the front will unlock come up and the bow will come up but at that point the storage lid starts to come up and stops and the bow stops end of cycle. Is that the same problem you had? Thanks!!!
@@Roverturbo my convertible is making me nuts, so i did everything. My current stand is, my soft top opens automatically completely, but when it needs to close, it doesn’t won’t to lock itself. I have ordered electro-mechanical position sensor that is on right side, and i am going to change it in next two day, if it doesn’t close automatically, than i dont have an idea. Do you got something more for me?
What/which fuse and where exactly is it? My roof seems to be completely dead. No light on dashbord, no movement, no noises. Just nothing. I can only open and close it manually.. I wish it worked automatically... ive got B6 1.8t 05plate I think it could be that fuse..
It’s a big 50amp or similar, in a small fuse box panel, under the big panel next to the steering wheel. You have to remove a few screws to remove. I nicked the one next to it temporarily to test the roof, I think it’s a abs fuse or something, so be careful.

What micro switch was it?
The right hand clam latch one, it thought the lid was still closed.

@romansambolec2279 there is a micro switch to tell the lid is open and one to say it’s closed, have you checked both?
Good day, where do you find these micro switches exactly?. I have one and have the error on the dashboard
There wasn’t an actual fault with mine, it was just misaligned.
EBay?
Very knowledgeable
Thanks.!

@@Roverturbo so not in the fuse box on the side of the dashboard?
No..
Oh didn't see you replied.
I had a look in that area I think, but haven't found anything suspicious. Guess I'll give it a look tomorrow...
Another Rabbit Hole. Escaped from (roof). See you in the next one. 👍👍
