Not really, Helter Skelter is a Garage Rock song, bands like The Sonics were doing heavier music before The Beatles released that song and I Want You is very experimental and probably influenced the sound of traditional doom metal bands but it's not a propiely metal song.
"Critics" (who are just people with ears, just like us) have magazines, TV, and entire websites as their platform. So people who just have their YT channel as a platform should be able to pick any album they want.

Plenty of people with a great grasp on theory could go in depth about how 80s Megadeth had better drumming than Metallica, better lead guitar, etc. Which still isn't totally objective, but it's no less objective than an appeal to authority like "more critics (who are making subjective judgments) say x album is the best album of the year."
