I own 37 records from this list, but a lot of great records are not here. I believe Toxicity its way to high, even if i like the record , but its not that influencial, personal opinion never liked and dont consider Alice in chains metal. Painkiller better than any of the Priest records on this list.

Surprised that Iron Maiden Somewhere in Time didn't make the list, but Senjutsu did. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Maiden fan, and I love the Senjutsu album, but it was such a departure from their usual stuff that I would never expect it to make the best of the year.

you know the list is a joke when De Mysteriis is the highest / best Black Metal Album It has some of if not the worst vocals in all of Black Metal; I get if people think, it's good, but it's definetly not the best or is there too much bias bc of Varg and Euronymous and them playing on the same album??

I don’t know what other albums came out in ‘97 but I think you could probably find one better than Cryptic Writings. It has good songs but it’s not that good of an album compared to the entire Megadeth discography

Elephant being classed as a ‘metal’ album is so inaccurate it’s laughable. Also no Opeth makes me upset, plus the omission of both Master Of Puppets and Justice.

Lol. Where is The Black Album of Metallica (1991)? It's a known as the most best, commercial and popular metal album ever. Not only in metal, it's one of the best music album of all times (in the TOP20 - Top50 best music albums for sure).
