My problem with any kind of “Greatest metal of all time” lists is that there’s so much different genres that you can’t even compare to each other, while they are under the same umbrella of metal music, it’s not right seeing Meshuggah in the same list as Twisted Sister, you can even tell they were trying so hard to appeal to everyone Great video though, I definitely commend that you had to put 100 of these together, and I like how you didn’t go for the obvious song choice on some of these albums
Every song in that album is a 9/10 or higher besides Strength of the World and maybe Betrayed. Bat Country, Blinded in Chains, Trashed and Scattered, Seize the Day, and MIA are all 10/10s like how is it not #1

Something to remember about newer metal and the subgenres that are gaining popularity is that they have not had time to become cemented as 'classics' yet due to not being around as long. I wish there were more diversity, but I also understand the limitations and the difficulty choosing only 100 out of probably thousands of fantastic records by countless bands. Overall alright list

Well Ozzy wins with 8 entries, but some of the bands on the lower end I either Don't Like or never heard of, so I'm left wondering where are albums like Fates Warning - Awaken the Guardian, Savatage - Hall of the Mountain King, any Kreator? Transcendence by Crimson Glory, Punishment for Decadence by Coroner, Testament's The Legacy, fucking Epicus Doomicus Metallicus! All missing. I could go on...and on...and on.

When I see a list like this, I always find myself thinking, "How can that be one of the top albums of all time when it isn't even that BAND'S best album?"
I mean, all lists are completely subjective, and I would be remiss if I knew better than all mighty Rolling Stone. Having said that, if they were going to place Iowa and White Pony on the list, they HAD to be better than 50 and 30, respectively. My other major grip is placing Peace Sells at 8, while Rust in Peace (in my opinion, the better of the two) 19 and I would have flipped them around. Otherwise, fairly solid and straightforward, especially the top 10 (sans Peace Sells).

I think Napalm were more ahead of its tine than even stuff like Meshuggah. They were playing with noise and industrial sounds at least 7 years before Messhuggah and Fear Factory started making more polished advanced metal.

I like the inclusion of many bands in this list, but I'm not sure about some specific elections. Like some that are reminiscent of metal, but they could be argued that they weren't metal, therefore including albums that were missed out. Or the problem that I would choose other albums. For example, I think British steel instead of Screaming for vengeance is weird. And the main problem: the order. I get that having to do this type of list is an enormous task by itself, but the placement is so weird

Dio maybe be a better vocalist, but the songwriting was top notch in the Osbourne era. Wheels of confusion, Sabbra Cadabbra, Megalomania...

My son asked me what a shitlist is, luckily I had this video to show him.
I like the inclusion of many bands in this list, but I'm not sure about some specific elections. Like some that are reminiscent of metal, but they could be argued that they weren't metal, therefore including albums that were missed out. Or the problem that I would choose other albums. For example, I think British steel instead of Screaming for vengeance is weird.
And the main problem: the order. I get that having to do this type of list is an enormous task by itself, but the placement is so weird

It's impossible to make a list like this and appease anyone but yourself. Overall this list is better than a lot of RS lists, but of course I disagree with a lot of it, but I do agree with a lot as well.

Where is Saxon , Accept , Twisted Sister , Rammstein , Savatage , Iced Earth , Ufo , Uriah Heep , Whitesnake ... Not a good album of them all ???
The number of the beast its only over Paranoid, its the second most influential album of all metal… and Ride the lightning too RTL>MOP but what can i expect if Rolling Stones make garbage opinions (most of the list is bad too)

The order could be changed around quite about. They've omitted a lot of worthy entries and included some thing that are not even metal.
