I can’t say I remember ever asking for a competitive movement shooter on three lane maps… I’ve always been asking for Call of Duty to go back to how it was in the golden days of COD4-BO2. This is not what I was asking for. Campaign looks fairly interesting though. (And the campaign is made by Raven. Not Treyarch.)

They removed it and after years they finally listen to the community and brought it back and the first thing you do is complain? No wonder the devs never listen to you guys 😂
13:20 In the actual gulf war, locating and neutralizing saddam's SCUD missile sites was a top priority. This isnt just a recycled idea from MW3 2023, its a real thing that happened:
As much as people hate the missile launcher mission, during the golf war with the SAS in the US Army delta force. They went deep into Iraq, and actually destroyed this SCUD launchers to protect coalition troops and also Israel. I kinda happy to see that they’re being a real operation which many don’t know about into gaming.

Yes i completely agree, and the part that makes me sad is that nobody says anything about it and just says"oh yeah mw19 was the best cod on this era" And cold war campaign was just perfect.
To be fair, in 1991 both US Special Forces and UK Special Forces (specifically the SAS and Delta Force) main missions were hunting down saddam huseins SCUD missiles in the desert so while I understand the PTSD from MW³, they are staying true to history or at least it sounds like they are

It's important to note a few key things about this game in particular vs. past CoDs: 1. This is the first release under Microsoft, and the potential for there to have been major shifts in strategy behind the scenes is very real. 2. Competition from other games has continued to rise while the sentiment around CoD from its core fanbase has continued to crater. Some aspects of the "too good to be true" feeling may actually be due to competitive necessity, not just because they've chosen to do the "right thing" this time. 3. Treyarch actually got _four whole years_ to develop this game, which is the longest dev cycle in CoD history. Compared to the nightmare dev stories we've heard about several of the games over the past few years, BO6 may actually have the chance to launch as a reasonably stable and complete game on day 1. Again, I fully recognize that the CoD hype cycle happens every year, but I do think there are legitimate reasons to be cautiously optimistic for this one.

13:28 Actually this has historical grounding rather than lazy recycling, coalition forces (meaning Americans, Canadians, Brits, French, etc.) had genuine anxieties regarding Saddam’s long range SCUD missile launchers which posed a serious threat to them, so it’s completely believable that SAS and special forces would be assigned with this

The Scud missile mission with the SAS was an ACTUAL mission in the Gulf War 13:05
It's important to note a few key things about this game in particular vs. past CoDs:
