  • Hello lovelies
This is a tutorial on my way to do slow stitching. It is a very small piece and will give you an idea of what it’s like. This is the second part of a two part video - and this is where we look at finishing up and embellishing.

Can you make more slow stitching video's?😛😻 I loved it so much. The flowerpot and leaves are also such a nice idea. I have to finish my slow stitch'ish needlebook first and then I want to make something like yours, colorful. 💜

Hi, With love may I suggest that when separating threads you take one at a time. Hold the threat gently in your palm and surround it, select one piece and pull up. It comes away easily then and the remaining five threads don't get tangled up. With all best intentions, Ax

Thank you Allison - that is absolutely the easiest way (and the right way) to separate the strands. 🥰❤️

Thread Heaven, beeswax or glycerine - a tiny bit run on the thread and it will never tangle again!
There are exuent piece of clothing from hundreds yrs ago, the only reason they survived well was the beeswaxed linen thread! It not only smoothes, helps prevent tangles but also adds strength and longevity to your pieces!
    Cheers

Thank you for your pt & pt 2 video.
I need to keep my hands busy and hand sewing smallish projects fits perfectly.
Appreciate getting a peek of the back. Being able to add those 'last one' button (s) is a nice touch. I still have my mom's button jar from the 1940s to 1980s.
Crumb quiltig on adding machine tape has been great fun but getting to a final project can take years. Ended up making bucket hats with the created fabric.
    Thank you again. 🍄🍄

Hi, I am enjoying part 2 of your slow stitching, your way of finishing off the sides, is an easier way than doing mitred corners, although you could do it that way, if you want to, but I am not the expert in doing that, that would be good, if you could show your viewers, how to finish off doing mitred corners. Perhaps you could put the squares together, to form a little book to flip through, again I wouldn't be too sure how to do that. Thanks again for your lovely video. 😊 ❤

    • @KoolKookyKreatures

Hi - I quite like the unmitred corners but yes they could be finished in that way if you chose to. A book is definitely on the cards for a future video :) 🥰

I use an inexpensive hair straightener. It works on ribbon and fabric. I happened to have one, im not bothering with the hair so it was the perfect repurpose for me 😊

I busted out laughing when you said you would not want to finger press a shirt! I do not love to iron. I am capable but just don't necessarily enjoy. Love the backing fabric!

Loved this thankyou, could i ask how you would sew a sequin on when they have only one hole 🤔. Im definitely one for a bit of bling 😆

    • @KoolKookyKreatures
      @KoolKookyKreatures  Рік тому +1

With one hole I can do this two ways - first one would be to use a small bead on top and stitch through the sequin, pop on a bead and then go down through the sequin again. The second way would be to hold the sequin in place with two stitches either side - through the centre to one side and back through the centre to the other side :). Hope that helps! 🥰

I'm wondering if it would be all right to have some light watercolour abstract background on the canva... I really appreciate your comment on that matter: the master opinion counts, indeed!

Hi, I love this slow stitching method, al though my hands and fingers hurt I still do it very slowly. I saw an episode in which you added a cat and can’t find it, could you tell the name of the episode? Thank you !

No, take the slow stitching pieces and make a little book out of them. A cover, binding method, back cover.
