Kooky Tutorial - SLOW STITCHING A CUFF BRACELET Part 1

  • Hello my lovely Kooksters :)
    Today I am showing you this tutorial on how to make a slow stitched cuff bracelet.
    I have also made a downloadable PDF to go along with this which includes dimensions of the fabrics and some optional appliqué pattern pieces. There is also a list of things you may want to add on there too.
    PDF download link- drive.google.c...
    I use a wool blend felt which has a high percentage of wool and I recommend that or a pure wool felt. Craft felt is not strong enough to hold all the stitches and may start to fall apart so I don’t recommend it in this project.
    Cotton thread used:
    DMC COTON PERLE 8
    ANCHOR PERLE COTTON

      Hi Lisa - sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t - most times the music playing is when I have speeded up a video clip. What I advise most people to do is to mute the videos with music if they don’t like it as I will not be speaking. 🥰❤️

    Love this, so happy to have found your channel 🎉 last year 2022?. I am that person who lives for planners normally Filofaxes or Kinbors but because of my love of crafting (cross stitch, Lego, stationery (a rabbit hole on UA-cam 😅) I follow you like mad. I’m ex Papergang ex Artful Ohh deer but love a good buy from both now in 2023 plus anything paints, craft paint, pencil with wool or art.
    I use the best paints, coloured pencils, water color pencils in my planners and colouring books not to sell but just to play 😅. I do need to untest but use my gouache artful and water colours 😅. They may have gone off? Plus am an ex Scawlwer who own 2 boxes of ScrawlR Blackwing pencils 36?..? In total lol. Call me a mess but absolutely happy. I love listening to books on Libby and BorrowBox with my hobbies which you show carefully it’s less costly lol but my money goes down all routes to play!
    Zeiler water colour paints, and water colour pencils had them for a while obtained in the lock-in down U.K. 2022, but would love to see a review, the pencils are awful so just the paints 😂. Ok maybe the pencils improves with an oven but that’s a fire risk which needs a massive caution, but I over did my cracks pencils at 37 seconds in the microwave belonging to Zierler maybe 10 seconds was best.

    The cuffs are so lovely thank you for the tutorial, I shall be having a go at making one. In the past I've tried sewing with the acrylic felt you commonly find in craft shops, but find it doesn't hold my stitches well and goes into holes. What kind of felt do you use please?

    • @KoolKookyKreatures
      @KoolKookyKreatures  Рік тому +2

      Hi Carol - you are very welcome! My “go to” felt is usually a wool felt blend with a high percentage of wool or a pure wool felt which is a bit pricier but feels lovely to work with. I get my pure wool felt from a company called Cloud Craft and my wool blend felt from Paper and String. It is 40% wool and works great for backings and using as a batting :)
      If for some reason you are allergic to wool then a thicker acrylic felt will also work - you just have to be more careful not to pull stitches too tight or it will split or “hole”. 😊
