The last half of this video BLEW my mind! I learned to skate as a kid when a neighbor boy moved in next door. He was my first bestfriend 😭💕 miss you, Andy!
You got me with the snow scene. That really gave me a good laugh. That was exactly (well almost) what I did about a week ago here in Toronto. All like “Hey! Let go [looks out the window to see snow]....into the basement and practice hopping on and off a ledge...” On a more artistic note, the little touches to the snow scene were very nice, particularly the daisy and grass. It gave it an almost calming feel added to the “why god?” feeling of it all. Love seeing you slowly experiment and add in little flourishes like that.
I've watched so many videos trying to understand how to do a powerstop, and this is by far the best! I really appreciate how your explanation isn't too complicated and you just break it down to the basics :)
Thanks for the videos man. I was able to revive my love for skates because of it. I now own a Seba frx 80 based on your recommendation and cant get enough of it. I live in a country where inline skates died a long time ago but thanks to you, you made me remember. Keep up the good work man!
Your energy makes you stand out and your energy is what makes your videos easy to watch. More interesting. They are very esucational and the fact that you demo is very helpful. I like the way you edit your videos.
The gym floor allows you to stop easier because when it heats up (from your power slide/stop friction) it gets stickier. In 3d printing we use Polyethermide sheets that when hot turn into an almost glue to stick prints, and when cool they harden and aren't sticky at all.. like glass.
I recently found your channel, and honestly, you deserve more subscribers! Not only are your videos very helpful and informative, you bring the info with a great sense of humor. Very nice😊
okay 3 questions. 1. Is the Bstop the same as the power stop? 2. I have a lot of hills in my city. Is there a 4th stop you recommend for hills? 3. Do you ever use the parallel stop in the streets? the magic slide?
i was practicing today, and at high speeds i tried to T brake but turned into a powerslide, what i did was lean back and put my arm down breaking with the arm guard too, it gave me a pretty short stop tho
Nice video👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻very impressive holding a selfie stick & talking whilst ya skate in ya videos {think ya making it too easy on ya self😉😂}Ya give great explanations which are very easy to understand. Cheers bud & please keep em coming!!! -I'm an old school skater putting the skates back on after years & your videos inspire & remind me how to pull off some tricks & gain my confidence again on the wheels👍🏻 Thanks again😃😃😃

Love your videos, I wish we could have more of them! But I can see you put a lot of effort on them, so it must be hard to post more than per week :( Anyway, keep up the great work!
Hi Tiago, Thanks for your videos. I have a question, what is your skate setup? Also, I want to know that does the wheel hardness have effect on sliding? If yes which hardness do you suggest? Thanks
I'm having trouble getting into the powerslide. I can't even do it in my head, how are you supposed to have most of your weight on your non-sliding leg while also spinning it 180°? Do any of you have a "hack" for that? cheers
Hi Tiago! I'm from Hungary! Thanks for the upload! That's great! My wheels are Oxelo 84A Hard. Is it possible to learn powerstop or sliding with them? Merci d'avance pour votre réponse!
Hello ! Do you know the Roces X35 3 x 110 TIF ? In a few days, I will get them by post, and try them in Île-de-France. Size 44. They seem to be wonderful ! If you wanna a return, ask me.
The major difference from a powerstop and powerslide is that the powerstop has ankle inversion and is used to prevent sliding. You can see in Tiago's demo of the powerstop when he does it well he inverts his back foot for a split sec. It can be excuted in very high speeds on rough asphalt but one must have strong back foot ankle to hold that stance. In order to strengthen the ankles is to commite repetitions on rough surfaces itself, your flaws will be exposed and the body will gradually adapt and perfect it.
pretty sure there is certain limit velocity which if exceeded makes powerstop impossible. I recon magic would be best in between stop - faster stop than powerslide, possible at all speeds(not all surfaces though?)
Tiago: Blade in NY points out that the powerstop - or, narrow powerslide - uses a bent knee, unlike a (wide stance) powerslide. You do this; but some of your viewers might not realize that. I suspect that you're probably right about weight distribution. Or, at least, I think more weight will be on the support leg in a powerslide, as opposed to a powerstop. Regarding falls: Blade in NY points out that skaters can fall on a powerslide, but you would fall downward from sliding out too far, I think - rather than be at risk of less stability from an abrupt stop. Blade in NY video: ua-cam.com/video/Cu1r5VjWEO4/v-deo.html Definitely true that we can reduce speed first. That can really help in some situations. Merci beaucoup pour l'explication! - Thanks for the explanation! = D
Ouch, the snow scene is sooo relatable :'(Well where I live very rarely snows, but it hasn't stopped raining since September 😅Well I guess the bright side is I'm kinda improving the... specificity? of my skating. It's stressing af, and not nearly as fun as skating on dry floor, but you really must learn to control every little movement when on wet, if you don't want to die ':)That would be a useful tutorial now that I think about it. I know water it's bad for bearings and stuff, but any tips that help skating safely on wet floor would be very much appreciated.Anyway, great video as always, you never fail to teach something useful while putting a smile on my face. Thanks!
hola tiago! i just want to share my opinion, even if i am a really bad skater compared to you. as regards the T/L stop: i realized that a grown man or somebody with some kind of skills can put his braking foot in a L position but for doing that you have to be able to control the rotational inertia with your hips/upper body. For a kid, learning how to stop... i feel that the T position is much easier...first because you have less inertia to control and second, and maybe more important for kids, because with the T you can use a progression like: 1. running with 1 foot. 2. putting the 2° foot in the T position. Instead the L is much more easy to do even if you are not really good at running with one foot...and now i get to the point... if you try to do the L pos. but you are not really stable with the running foot, the result maybe be that you will not do a 90° angle....and so if you imagine a kid trying to do that and putting his foot, for example, like at 50°..the result is that it starts rolling away from you..... so..my english is really bad but i hope i get to the point...what do you think? am i totally wrong??
I just got new wheels for my inline skate and find it very hard to do the powerslide. The wheels are powerslide’s matter juice F1 and its hardness is 86A. Is it because the wheels are new or these wheels are harder to do the slide? Thanks Tiago!
86A is fine for slides in general and any wheels are ok for powerslide because big part of your weight is on your rolling foot so you can choose the right angle and pressure for your sliding foot
Hey tiago! Been watching you for a while now. Im a newbie. But I know the basics. The thing is I cannot do power stop because some roads in my area is stupidly made. I guess itll be more effective on asphalt
Harenthiran Siva i do everything on a banana rockering :) i made a tutorial on how to skate with the full rocker, in order to decrease the wobble :) I hope you're okay :O
i have a question for someone who know about it: if I want to do slalom, but I have just changed from fitness inlines to slalom and i still can't ride well on them (because of larger wheels by 10mm), it pays to assemble "banana"? (sory for mistakes, i can't speak english well)
Hania Kurowska yea its called a rockered setup or banana setup. 76 80 80 76 mm wheels. You can try that. If you need more stability you can try 76 80 80 80 mm wheels.

Thanks a lot for the suport Guamtek! :)

I get you Daniel. I live in Montréal :D And we don't wanna freaking ice skating, right.
I've watched so many videos trying to understand how to do a powerstop, and this is by far the best! I really appreciate how your explanation isn't too complicated and you just break it down to the basics :)
I finally can do crossover very proud of my self xD someday I'll get to do this sort of stuff awesome video!

Tiago, I think you are super cool. I am a beginner and you taught me so much I need to know about skating. Your videos are super helpful.
It is nice to mention that is more of a L stop than a T. When I train it with the T on mind I find myself wrecklessly spiraling.
I recently found your channel, and honestly, you deserve more subscribers! Not only are your videos very helpful and informative, you bring the info with a great sense of humor. Very nice😊
Yes in ice skating it is a "T" stop. Inline thank you for urging us to refer to it as "L" stop
okay 3 questions.

I love that bit when you go out to skate and it’s snowing then you stop and drop your skates and then freak out that was great
In the gym, the difference between static and dynamic friction is a lot, so both power slide and power stop work great.
I am a big fan!! These tips are so helpful!
The snow scene was so sad, jajaja lol. Great video man!

Your presentation is always cool for all ages. Thanks again brother Tiago!
Haha, did it. Stopped this and watched then come back :)))
Great Tiago, You are the very skater. i love your video because you explain all very good!
Hi Tiago, ¿what is the name of 5:36 move you did? Greetings from Colombia

i have just went to skate and its freaking snowing
just same situation 10 minutes ego :(
Will you flip out if you're in a high speed and do power stop or slide?
J'aime ta playlist mon gars, pour un débutant comme moi c'est cool d'apprendre quelques tricks sur un bon fond sonore.
love your vids!!! So informative and entertaining at the same time! Made me wanna skate again! I miss the 90's
yea i had to laugh when u went out and saw the snow..feelin the same.. cant wait to feel the sun and warm evenings...take care ..from germany .peace
You are very funny lol . I enjoy watching your videos . I learned the crossover today ! So thank you for the tutorials :)
Can you also compare it with the hockey stop and magic stop?
Love your videos, I wish we could have more of them! But I can see you put a lot of effort on them, so it must be hard to post more than per week :(
Anyway, keep up the great work!
Just ordered me a pair of 2020 twister edge x’s. Pretty excited
Bro do u have a tutorial for that spin stop with your toe lifted? That's amazing!
Which wheel hardness do you recommend for powerslide, power stop, parallel slide, magic slide?
Hi Tiago,
Thanks for your videos. I have a question, what is your skate setup? Also, I want to know that does the wheel hardness have effect on sliding? If yes which hardness do you suggest?
Thanks
where is this place in Paris, which address?:)
I'm having trouble getting into the powerslide. I can't even do it in my head, how are you supposed to have most of your weight on your non-sliding leg while also spinning it 180°? Do any of you have a "hack" for that? cheers

I'm finding it hard to achieve any slide on dry ground. Would moving from an 85a wheel to an 88a or 90a make much difference?
it was a great video id like your humor sens, im just starting with inline skate but i learn to much with your videos a make laugh good job
What an awesome skater .... So smooth 😁👍😄
Great video too !!!!!!!
I loved this video I feel like it had almost every element that i love about you videos. B roll, sitcom, movie montage, French lol

Finallyyyyy 😁😁 another great video as always!!
Could you make a video teaching how to walking back? It eould be very helpfull as all of your videos😀
You got me into inlines from skating and oh my god they are so much more fun

It's been raining for a month on my city... 2 days of dry floor, only... You made me laught SO LOUD... Thanks hahahhaa
hi sir tiago im skaters from philippines.. ur video is nice i learned a lot..tnx for this..
Whats the best way to transport your skates?
Where can i get your skates? They look so cool :)
5:36 what is that called?
I wish i had indoor places to skate where i live. Im in the middle of the countryside in the UK and most places near me dont allow indoor skating 😞
I'm just wondering if I'm size 12 regular shoes is it worth me buying size 11.5 skates so that they are abit tight
Can you powerslide on aggressive skates? I'm finding it quite hard!
Nice video as always my friend 💪🏼🔝

First of all I need my Lost Skates .
Am still Waiting on building up Cash to buy a new one .
Hope then I could do something.
The Slalom and the group skatin was beautiful !
im very late to this and im sure many have said this already but the name (T-stop) comes from ice skating and its really a T when on ice.
yeah, that snow.. tell me about it. Really sick of the last 2 weeks weather here in London too...

Did you have to buy up a 1/2 size on your RB80??
I never had a RB , in fact any modern skate from Rollerblade 🤔 I usually use skates from Seba, FR and Powerslide and take them true to size!
Is it possible to do this with full rocker guys? I find it quite hard
Honza Antoš I always skate with a full rocker :) it's totally possible :)
Hey tiago! Been watching you for a while now. Im a newbie. But I know the basics. The thing is I cannot do power stop because some roads in my area is stupidly made. I guess itll be more effective on asphalt
I Tiago! I want to buy a line rollers, what are your recommendations? Brand? I’m looking for a great rollers
Do you down hill or long slopes with banna rockering? I fell and extermly hurt myslf in friday night skate last week. My skates wobble too much
Harenthiran Siva i do everything on a banana rockering :)
i made a tutorial on how to skate with the full rocker, in order to decrease the wobble :)
I hope you're okay :O
i can powerslide but i cant powerstop... any tips?
Just back skating after 25 years ,cheers .👍👍👍

Plz plz plz🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
From where you have taken this skates
what would you recommend for me to get for my first skates, i’d love to get into indoor and outdoor riding
just skating not grinding
I think Oxelo mf 500 would be good. They're smooth, ig
hey man, high speed is for the magic slide. hey where i live is either very very hot or heavy rain. so at night is fine.
gawd damn - gotta search for the other vid now... no linky, linky? hehe - be well Tiago and thanks for the vid man!
4:25 - best scene ;)
I think I hurted my knee while doing a power stop. Is it normal to feel pain after doing some power stops?
no u are a freak lol
Cualquier signo de dolor es una advertencia de nuestro cuerpo... Fijate en la técnica y si el dolor persiste tal vez no sea para ti esa técnica saludos.
I am not totally agree. For me, "powerstop" isn't true slide. it's only a bad powerslide or a bad parallèle. *I like your film editing. *
Natega On Wheels
the powerstop is not a slide :)
justement, le powerstop n'est pas un slide :)
C'est une jolie façon de s’arrêter si on ne maîtrise pas complètement le parallèle ;)
Il faut minimum combien en dureté des roues pour faire ces slides ?
no snow now, Tiago is happy :)
I also want to buy free style inline skates. Can you tell me from which online website i can get these skates
Ritesh Singh where are you from?
Jack Ariel i am from india
Ritesh Singh okay umm
Ritesh Singh sorry not sure

Nice video Tiago, and hey, you're in the city! You can always find somewhere to skate, I'm jealous! ha..
