Man seeing the smile on brians face after you guys plugged in the stage 2 ECU that you found made me so damn happy man, the 2step was wild and the genuine laugh and how happy he was with the car was just great
It's weird that it took this long for them to get to this point with the Mk2. I offered to write them a custom map for that ECU with all the above features a long time ago when the Mk2 was first introduced but then they got the new wiring harness and ECU and I figured they were all good to go.

Same. jimmy I've been watching you since I picked up my 240 4 years ago after my mk4 1.8t jetta auto trans bit the dust and it's been sitting in the driveway since. I've been waiting to manual swap it but I havent collected any parts yet. we demand more vw content we need more knowledge
I love 1.8Ts they're such cheap and easy power. 3 of my cars are 1.8Ts.. The old ones especially can handle a silly amount of power with just a set of forged rods.

1.8t's are so fun lol, stage ,2 downpipe, coils and you got 250hp in a light shoe box volkswagen

A K03-052 will never make 250hp without some WG mods and some WMI or Ethanol. 215hp to 225hp is the upper limit on a stock K03s without any fuel additives.
And here is an amazing example of how different people's dynos read. 215 - 280 hp is quite the range
always the dopest content. can't wait to see the civic with primer.

The tune really seems like a eurocustoms stage 2 tune it has the 2 step it has no lift shift and it should run stable 20 psi b-hall’s diverter valve may be a little leaky it should hold it till redline
His rods will head out if he keeps running 20psi tho
Russ Tish no they won’t 😂 20 psi on a k03 turbo is like 4 psi in a sr20 t25 turbo it’s hair dryer the amount of cfm is a a joke

Yea I had a ko3s and it would peak at 21 around 6 grand which is basically redline and it held 16 solid
@@russtish3533 no ways. I ran mine for ages at around 20psi. 20psi on a ko3 is nothing for a 1.8T

This is one video of Jimmy’s that I will watch over and over again, this my 5th time.
I have to say this was a breath of fresh air and seeing Brian's grin from ear to ear brings back memories of a time when you all were just having fun with no time crunches to get a job done. I know how you all give yourself goals to meet but sometimes a fun time breaks the pressure you put on yourself.
I honestly didn't even notice the coils were red until jimbo put the new valve cover on. Lol. Looks slick man. I love it. 👊🤘

Hit the car with steelit it’s a weldable primer. You clean and blast your surface then clean one more time and then spray the steelit and dry then apply your normal primer. It will seal your steelwork and protect from further rust.

Also, yes Dewalt makes hand tools. I have a 120 piece set from them with all kinds of wrenches, allen keys, and all kinds of other stuff. They're suprisingly good quality and come with a lifetime warranty!

Haven't touched one in a few years but this brings back so many memories of my friend Scott and me building his yellow 92 GTI 16v. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2015 making these videos hit me a bit different. I love your videos Jimbo. Keep up the great work and always cherish your friends. Bypass valve on a 1,8t is the Blow off valve, which means you dont have a recirculating one and the car goes into limp mode

@@ex35240sx the cars over there get lifetime plates, you don't change between owners, so it would have to be sold new in 07 to get it
@@LetItLie so once your assigned a plate its yours for life? Here in the states people get new plates almost every time they get a new car

Brian I had a vw bora aum 1.8t with audi tt 315cc injectors, n249 delete, saip delete, oil catch can, brake booster mod, arp fuel pump, r8 coil packs from ecs, 2.5" intercooler and pipe work, decat 2.5" stainless non resonate centre, custom silencer exhaust, vr6 mk3 golf maf, ram Air induction kit, turbo smart bov, replaced all the coolant plastic connectors will aluminium upgrades, ko3s hybrid with 360 race bearings all stock engine internals, and that ran 285 bhp for 4 years with a roof rack and tow bar tuned by devil developments in the UK she was a quick little sleeper, so that mk2 will be heaps of fun,

About that wrench, there's an old blacksmith motto that says "need a tool, make a tool"
Check and see if it has no lift shift redline it clutch to the ground stay on gas. You can have all emissions tuned out of it to and readiness set

Get the radiator support cover... looks way better and keeps the air going through the radiator not around it.

2stepping the ko3 kills them fast tho. A good recipe on a 1.8t is k03s or k04 stage 2 ecu 007 diverter not a blow off, R8 coils 4bar fpr 3in downpipe to 2.5 back and get ready to party
