Oh my! One of my favourite bands from my 70s childhood - they were pretty massive and probably nearly as loved down here in Oz as they were in the UK. Oh and I agree - the Quiet Riot covers aren't even the tiniest patches on the Slade originals!!!
This is what family should do. Pass on the songs and bands they listened to. I'm an adult, but to young to remember if it had not been for my Mother playing Slade often. I tend to listen more of the music my parents played, then what is popular now. Yeah... I know I'm getting old... LOL 😂

I love a bit of Slade, part of my childhood, and you would be amazed at how much Lilly and Katie love Mama wear all crazee now, they always put it on when we're out in the van, and I sometimes wonder what it looks like when I'm driving down the road with two youngsters singing a 50 year old song at the top of their voices. I always turn it right down if we reach any traffic lights. 😄😄
Slade definitely did not become Quiet Riot, but Quiet Riot did do a cover of both Mama Weer All Crazee Now, and Cum on feel the Noize, and in my opinion, they made a right mess of both of them.
Be great if Slade did Glastonbury, Noddy wants to but said they would need glass partitions to stop fisticuffs, let's hope they come together for the dream.
First time I heard the song was sat in my old mini at Piccadilly Station after dropping my girlfriend off. Hairs down the back of my neck, wonderful to see Slade back in the top 10. Shame it didn't hit top spot, the AKS album peaked at #49 in UK with 2 top ten singles 🤔
