From Lilly's actions I think The Bangles Walk Like an Egyptian should be looked at, in fact I'm going to watch that song now as it's catchy and you have reminded me of it.

Happy birthday, Steve. This group was everywhere for a few years in the 80s, with Simon Le Bon and his wife, Yasmin, particularly prominent. I can't say I have a definite favourite, though I really like Rio. I've read somewhere they got the group's name from a character in the 60s Jane Fonda SF film Barbarella, not sure if it is true.
Thanks Clive, yeh, I just googled them to see if I had missed one of their songs that I particularly liked, and their isn't one. 😄 I would agree that Rio is one of their better songs, and I can tolerate A View To A Kill, but probably only when I'm watching that James Bond Film.😄

I'm a massive fan of early 80s music, and all the 70s music too, and massive not fan of late 80s. In world history, the 80s was sameness: a lot of stuck stalemated situations that dragged on almost all the way through them without changing. In music, the 80s was total change between each half. First half was very tuneful, with new romantic + synth pop, it belonged to the time when pop music was still actually sung, along with lots of space age effects. Second half was the explosion of hip-hop and rap, speech as so-called music. Early Duran Duran was one of the tuneful era's top sounds. But Wild Boys is from winter of 84-5, the middle point, and in it, the spoken shouts of "Wild Boys" are a hint of what's coming. Their songs in the next 5 years were flatter tuned + several had speech elements.
