Noddy Holder of Slade was given six months to live having been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in 2018 was given new chemotherapy treatment and now remains clear from cancer.
@TooSkinnyKenny No, Noddy left in the 80s because he was sick of being on the treadmill and the arguments over money. Only Dave Hill is left now because he sacked his long-term friend and bandmate Dave Powell so that he could keep more money for himself.

Awesome. I saw Noddy Holder perform live at a music festival back in 1988. That amazing voice of his was as good live as you'd expect.
This song is from 1984 video filmed at Eastnor Castle Herefordshire. In 1983 Scottish band Big Country pioneered the sound of guitars sounding like bagpipes ( check songs In A Big Country, Fields of Fire, Chance) so Slade were inspired to have a go themselves. Another great Slade song from this period is My Oh My.
@theodoreritola7641 Yes, Quiet Riot did cover those 2 songs. This song by Slade is from their album "Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply" as it was titled here in the U.S. They also had a ballad called "My Oh My," from this release. I saw them on this tour. That doesn't make the comment above wrong.
First saw Slade live in July of 1971 ! 😱 ( and again in September of that year ) in a small hall in Whiting Bay on the Isle of Arran in Scotland when they were just transitioning from their skinhead beginnings before they " blew up " in the UK - think it cost about the equivalent of 50 cents 🤣
Hey Jay and Amber, Slade was the original artist who played the songs "Cum On Feel The Noize" and "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" that Quiet Riot had later covered

Y'all just reacted to Slade's Run Run Away and I just gotta tell you that this is one of my all time favorite go-to songs for high energy, feel good bangers. Amber was saying that she wants to hear more from Slade and if you guys like this song, then you will absolutely love My Oh My. It's a little bit more of a reserved song than Run Run Away, but it has a great message on love and romance for women.... not to mention a killer drum segue on a level with In The Air Tonight or Jack and Diane. Also, a go-to fave for just holding a lighter, not a phone, up in the air and swayin' to the power of this phenomenal band! Love you guys! Keep on being who you are and never change who you are! This is an 80s contribution from Slade...84/85?? Try 'Everyday' which is a ballad and it really makes Noddy's voice shine imo. I think this and 'Cuz I Love You' are my favourite Slade songs. Then there are lots of 'stompers' e.g. 'Come on Feel the Noize' - you'll like that one, I think. And *obviously* for a Xmas reaction you have 'Merry Xmas Everybody' - which is still compulsory at Xmas - on a loop - in every shop in the UK lol.
Neville John "Noddy" Holder MBE (born 15 June 1946)[2] is an English musician, songwriter and actor. Slade have it all, joyful hits like 'Cum on feel the noize' Merry Christmas, and Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me, to totally raucous numbers like 'lock up your daughters, and thanks for the memorys, to really moving slower ballads such as Far Far Away, & How Does it Feel
Love this song. I remember when it was released in the US. My favorite song by them though is Mama Weer All Crazee Now! Oh man Noddy Holder and crew, what a great band!
These guys were huge in the UK, about a dozen great songs, but they never hit big in the U.S. until this song, which was the end of their career. The U.S. thinks of Slade as a One Hit Wonder group.
Wow, Slade again. Their biggest usa hit, now you need to venture down the rabbit hole of their many top 20 hits including 6No.1s…3 of which entered at the top spot. They may have been bigger in the states had it not been for the fatal car crash drummer by Don Powell in the early 70’s then Jim’s bought of hepatitis in their later one. Next should be their huge Cum on feel the Noize or their first No.1, Coz I Luv you. Can’t wait for you to do their huge 51 yr old Christmas hit….which still charts every year You should consider getting Noddy or Jim on for the behind the music slot. Jim still releases records not which charts in the heritage chart

Neville John "Noddy" Holder MBE (born 15 June 1946)[2] is an English musician, songwriter and actor. He was the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the English rock band Slade, one of the UK's most successful acts of the 1970s.[3] Known for his unique and powerful voice, Holder co-wrote most of Slade's material with bass guitarist Jim Lea including "Mama Weer All Crazee Now", "Cum On Feel the Noize" and "Merry Xmas Everybody".
How Does It Feel is one of my favourite songs of the 70s. Classic and so underrated.
Ohh yeah, Jay and Amber...One other thing. "Merry Christmas Everybody" was recorded in a very hot New York City in AUGUST 1973 !
And that’s how exactly we all danced to it on the streets of my college ghetto on a Saturday night ❤
70's suggestions - "Twentieth Century Boy" by T Rex.
"Co Co" by The Sweet.
"Listen To What The Man Said" by Paul McCartney And Wings.
I flipping love this song! Haven’t heard it in ages but it was one of my favorite songs back in the day!
This is Probably my most requested song here, just ahead of Cyndi Lauper "Change Of Heart"
Another great early 80's rock song is Don Felder's "Heavy Metal" from the movie soundtrack.
i love slade they made some great songs
Love this song. I remember when it was released in the US. My favorite song by them though is Mama Weer All Crazee Now! Oh man Noddy Holder and crew, what a great band!
Love you guys and love this song!
So glad you finally got to this one. Such a fun song. ❤❤❤
I'll be rewatching this a few times.
From 1984 one Slade`s better tunes . Slade were big here in Australia in the early 70`s then went missing until this hit
Their Christmas song makes the UK top 40 every December
One of my very favorite songs. Nice surprise to see a reaction video on it and seeing others enjoy it.
These guys were huge in the UK, about a dozen great songs, but they never hit big in the U.S. until this song, which was the end of their career. The U.S. thinks of Slade as a One Hit Wonder group.
Glad to see this song getting some love. It's one of the best songs of the 80s, but it's been largely forgotten for some reason.
Can’t wait for you to do their huge 51 yr old Christmas hit….which still charts every year
You should consider getting Noddy or Jim on for the behind the music slot.
Jim still releases records not which charts in the heritage chart
Slade hit the big time when their festive song Merry Christmas Everybody hit number one at Christmas 1973
