  • Another dashcam driving tour video. Part of the Spring 2021 Western USA trip, June 3rd, 2021. Day 4 driving east to Jackson, Wyoming on Highway 33 and then Highway 22 in Wyoming. Stopped once on the way down to make sure the brakes were not overheating, even in 2nd gear it was not helping much. I don't generally use 1st gear since the top speed is so low I really hold up traffic. Drive virtually throughout the Western United States!

Just did this pass yesterday. No way I will do it again. I have done other passes including Beartooth, and for me, this grade was the scariest. I was in a passenger vehicle and couldn't get it to slow down either in 2nd gear. No thank you. I will drive the extra hour around to Grand Teton.

Wow, I didn't realize it was also bad in a car! I hope you got to enjoy the Teton/Yellowstone area. On my trip I just finished I did the dirt forest road between Teton and Yellowstone, that was a different adventure! The dirt road went from Ashton to Flag Ranch, should be posted in the next 3 weeks or so.

I saw that, it is actually on the west side of the pass in my Tetonia to Teton Pass video. I watched the pre-slide footage and a person would never guess that this could happen there, used to have thick trees on either side.

I totally agree with you, this was only the second time I had ever pulled over on the way down to let the brakes cool, the first was on a pass in Death Valley.

Doesn't look bad to me. I drove a 32K GVW Renegade motorhome towing a car trailer with a pickup on the trailer up and over Loverland Pass on Hwy 6 in Colorado. I just put the transmission in 7th gear and the engine brake on high. Motored down with zero problems. Descends from 12,000' to 10,600' in about 6 miles.

In this video I was driving a 25 foot Sprinter RV. Now we have a Chevy Colorado diesel and pull a 23 foot Vintage Cruiser travel trailer. We got tired of not being able to take the RV everywhere, now we can unhook the trailer and use the truck to go on any road or parking lot.

True, I have gotten better since this video. Back then I was trying to be an RV channel and let other RV's know of the hassles on some of these roads. Now the worst I talk about is buying crappy bio-diesel at gas stations while traveling. I actually like the videos I make that I talk less in, it is hard sometimes when traveling alone for sure. To me the sound of the road noise is relaxing.
