How did you keep your vehicle from going too fast on the steep downgrades? About what speed were you traveling going downhill? Were you in a 2 or 4 wheel drive, or all wheel drive vehicle? Any pointers on how to drive this road in winter like you did here? Sorry for all the questions but I am going to have to go this road in Feb 2023 and have only driven on snowy roads that were flat - and not much of that.
For this specific road called the “Teton Pass” locals generally drive a four wheel drive vehicle with good winter tires, keep a good distance from other vehicles and adjust speed to the conditions. When the road is dry it is a way easier drive, many people don’t even bother in a major snowstorm:). Downhill speeds vary between 20-45 miles per hour. Good luck for your trip!
Wow !!! Beautiful surroundings, beautiful trees, beautiful snow, incredibly strong cold winds. Desolate, overcast, beautiful. An absolutely beautiful and incredible winter environment. ❤❤
Love Jackson , i was there 2 years ago. its amazing place.
this is a serious mountain pass , especially for the daily commuters to Jackson.
This is a regular, daily commute route to Jackson Hole, must be tough sometimes.
I drive this every day! It's treacherous
