You should change the title of the video to “rambling about oil weight.” This had nothing to do with oil change intervals at all.
And epic tooth sucking. So annoying when dudes sick their own teeth when speaking.
I'm sorry... was the question addressed?
They're also prescribing thinner oils for better gas mileage.
You didn't say anything about 10,000 mile oil changes.
There is no issue with 10,000 mile intervals.
@@034MotorsportUncutare you saying follow the recommended 10k oil changes even on an RS5? I’m worried that is way too long.
DON’T do oil changes every 10,000 miles! That is causing 2.0 TFSI timing chain stretch! 5,000 miles PLEASE! We had a A4 wagon 2006 3.2 it had a timing chain tensioner failure due to 10,000 miles. We now have a 2012 A4 wagon 2.0T we have the oil changed every 5,000 miles
The 2006 failed at 106,642 miles
Sooo , 0-20 viscosity
Audi in Europe is 30000km or 18600 miles OCIs. This have been their recommendations for over 2 decades now and there has been no class action over the engine failing.
Only in Diesel. In gasoline engines, often we already add 30L of oil. Many TSI engines burning oil as much as 1 L per 1000 km
@@rondhole Actually that's petrol. Some diesels are on 50000km OCIs
@@Stoff1 Yes, you are right. go ahead and swallow it. It is relevant for VAG because it is disposable. Why put too much money on often oil change. VAG is the most unreliable car in USA. We know it for decades.
@@Stoff1 No, 50000 km was canceled years ago, now both are 30000 km, but max, it's calculated between 15000 and 30000 km, in reality it's little bit above 20000 km.
