Omg I'm at the shoe colour part but I always knew I hated black sneakers on me ever since I was a kid and now when buying leggings for the gym I've realized the 25" ones always look so much better even though they're quite a bit above my ankles!
lol the fact that you mentioned the roll over leggings from Victoria Secret got me. Because I sweear those are the only pair of leggings that I’ve been able to look good in so far. I got them as a gift years ago and my brother always tells they look lame but I’m like “idc they fit me nice”. Anyways, great video!. Thanks again for the tips :)
Your advice pretty much align with what I found that works for me so far. Greatful for your channel! I haven't tried Lululemons yet (people complain of the waist gapping for bigger butt/waist ratio...but maybe that's a good thing for short torso 🤔 since they are high waisted) but recently bought beyond yoga space dye that has a crisscross waist and they are pretty forgiving for short waist even tho their rise is high (very close to my ribs) since the fabric is soft compared to typical leggings and I don't have to readjust my pants when doing squats which is a big deal! With joggers like you said on shorter people (I'm 5'0) it will bunch up all weird. I usually get "fitted" or tapered joggers and go a size down and that will usually do the trick for me. I used to love long line bras/top but never works on my body 🥲 so I gave up on that lol
Thank you for this video! What about the trendy, boxy cropped hoodies? They look really cute on long torsos. They just make me look like a box on top since I have broad shoulders.
Thank you so much for the great tips. I am going to try wearing all one color. Right now I'm all over the place with colored tops. I also like the tip of getting shorter inseam to deal with the high rise issue. You look really cute in active wear btw.
Got a long line bra my sister had cuz it looked so cute on her just to realized it looked like an awkward fitting crop top on me. 😭 Lol. Oh well 🤷♀️😂 thanks for the helpful video Beth! Also where did you get the jeans jacket!? 😍
I found true mid-rise leggings! I'm a customer, not a sales rep or rewarded in any way for this. I'm a short-waisted, tall-legged, bust-endowed woman who has a very hard time finding clothes that work for me. I ordered a bunch of different leggings, and I haven't received all of them yet. I also haven't worn these enough to know if they last, or bag, etc. But I'm already so thrilled at this fit and feel that I'm sharing: Fisher's Finery Women's EcoFabric Ankle Length Yoga Legging
@@JulesBeth Update: Good news: They're super soft and comfy. Not-so-great-news: The material is a bit on the thin side (but not see-through that I can tell), and it stretches. By the time I had worn them for a few hours and exercised in them, they felt just slightly baggy at the rear, and to compensate, I had pulled them up so that they were basically high rise. Maybe a smaller size would solve this, but I'm not buying more.
Great tips! It's unfortunate when most of your leggings are black but the only running shoes there was left were black, ha! You cannot move those legging bands down unless you are skinny in the midsection and don't want to spill over.
thank you so much for all the tips!!! been looking for advice like this. I would say though, looking at your try ons, you are actually longer torso than legs! you can tell with the the distance of the crotch area (hip bones) to knees vs your shoulders to your crotch distance. so your femurs are shorter, than your torso :) perhaps you think otherwise because your height makes you think your torso is short! but it's not :)
I'm short (5'0) and most tips from Jules works for me but since she is taller I just choose not to follow the "make your legs look shorter" tips. Adjust it to how it works for you!
I like wearing a big oversized shirt that goes down all the way to my butt. Do the conventional short torso styling tipps approve of that? 😋 I think it suits me, because since the tight leggings draw attention to my legs, the baggy shirt balances out the proportions and makes the upper body appear longer. Also these shirts mostly have quite a high neckline.
What's your favorite activity to wear active wear at? ⚽️🏀🎾🥏
Anytime I'm breathing. Does living count as an activity? Lol. 😂 Mainly gym and sometimes casually for errands. ☺️
Well, I do it all... running, yoga, spinning, weight lifting.
@@kimw9558 SO RELATABLE! Does walking around my house count?

So glad you agree! No readjustments while working out is a win!

Thanks so much for the short torso vidz!
Happy to make them!! ❤️
After your video, I realize I do all your tips when I wear activewear. Great videos!
Yay! Thank you 😊
Thank you for this!! Ahhh! This is what I needed! Do you also have a video about swim wears for short torso long legs body type?

Thanks Lisa! I think you’ll really like those two tips once you try them 🥰
Love your videos! Can you make one for short torso shapewear? Haven’t found anything that works yet!
I'll add it to the list!
Great video, thank you! I will be using your tips!

Thanks Kim! It’s from H&M a few seasons ago. Here’s an affiliate link for a super similar one if you’re curious rstyle.me/cz-n/f6virncvftf

Everything in my closet is high rise & cropped. I knew something wasn’t right.😫
Those joggers fit so well it looks like you have a long torso Jaja 👌👌
Right?! I had to check again to see if it was a special size. Nothing fits that well off the rack!

My problem is that my legs are long(32" inseam), but I have to have a long rise as well
Sizing down on your inseam will help balance your legs ❤️
@@JulesBeth not hard to do most are too short anyway lol
I'm a short guy, do you think it's better to wear jogger at my belly button to make my legs longer? This entire thing is so confusing to me.
If you like it or if you like the balance it gives you, then yes!
But your legs don't look long, just in proportion?
I want my torso to look longer but no way do I want my long legs to be shorter
That’s fine. There are plenty of tips to help with that
