Does anyone know how long these mattresses last as far as being effective? I purchased a fancy $2500+ mattress about 10 years ago. The first 2 years were great. It felt great but years 3-5, I could tell a difference and probably over the last 3 years or so, it's been horrible. The memory foam ain't memory foaming. It's all lumpy and sunken in and worst of all, I sometimes have shoulder and back pain when I get up. Just wondering how long these new mattresses last.
Yes, $2500 is fine for 10 years but I really only got a really good 2 years out of it and then another 3 years of ok, so about 5 years. The last 5 years have been horrible. I know it's a big investment and sleeping can affect everything but I don't wanna buy another mattress in 3-5 years.

I had this exact experience with our current bed (Serta iComfort). Spent around $3000 and I hate it!
I love very plush, supportive mattresses… and when we got this bed, it was the softest one but weirdly, not soft enough… but we needed a new bed, so we just went with it and hope it would “break in” over time. Then after maybe a year, it started sinking a lot. Now we are at year 9 and it’s been UNBEARABLE the last few years. Feels like I’m sleeping in a crater. Even my husband, who doesn’t have a lot of the issues I have, wake up in pain and doesn’t sleep well.
The warranties are often next to useless… and I wouldn’t want another bed like this one if it was given to me.
Would also love to know how these beds do over time… $2000+ is way too much for something that doesn’t last even a few years!

@@m.clement1767 I will suggest the Casper Select for a soft but firm bed. It has actually been really good for my back, but the lack of give after the comfort layers compress means I get pressure points on my shoulders, especially when sleeping on my side. It's annoying as I REALLY like the mattress otherwise. I haven't been able to sleep this comfortably in quite some time, but then the pressure points build through the night, and I end up moving around. It's disappointing. However, if you weigh less or prefer the firmness, it might work well for you. I weigh 186 and am rather tall. I'm not sure how well the zoned support works for me, considering my height. It's also worth noting the cooling cover actually does feel cool upon contact, and I have never felt overly warm let alone hot while sleeping on it. I have bamboo sheets, but those only help so much. The mattress itself just sleeps pretty cool.

Great review but the body language coming from the 2 people sitting the closest isn't good it could be a little jealousy and envy of the young professional lady.... that isn't good for advertising.etc....
