Pick up one of the mid-air stacks, and drop it back on the pillar. Repeat until all bombs are on the pillar. 5: Drop down onto cloud layer. Move the bombs up to the fog wall. Be careful about the placement; the fog wall is of the thicker variety, if you place them in the center, you can't reach them. Off to the right side of the fog wall (before entry), however, there is an area where you can grab them again. (Off to the right, but not completely up against the right stone wall). Bro WTF, how have I never heard of that Aldrich arrow dodge strat before. That's a nice one! Oh btw, tip for Bloodborne, you might want to turn it into accursed brew only which is essentially an arcane molotov that uses quicksilver bullets. Would have to be done on NG+ though so there's that. But even just any% might not even be physically possible with only molotovs alone. There are 4 molotov versions and I haven't done the math on that so maybe you'll actually prove me wrong on that.
Bloodborne without mods makes me sad, as someone without access to mods. One of my wishes was to make a beast character for Central Yharnam invasions, but I'd have to beat fugging LAURENCE around level 20 for that. Also, hi!
Oh yeah, and just Molotovs is NOT possible for Bloodborne. Oil is necessary to beat some bosses even with other consumables allowed, so removing that just makes the entire game impossible. Mergo's Wet Nurse has too much HP for even ten Mollies, rope Mollies, Delayed, and Delayed rope Mollies. As someone who's struggled up to Shadows of Yharnam on consumables only, I can personally attest that _only_ Molotovs is not possible.
I may be misremembering this but doesn't the greatwolf have a gimmick where if you defeat it in it's out of boss encounters it has less health in the boss?

@@nathanjora7627 yeah, I don't think it would be viable for a fire bomb run. You might be able to hit some of them if you really try. But just in casual playthroughs it's something to consider to make that fight easier.
Lemon is quite right about the overhang (as he showed). Alternately, if you are a sorcerer or just happen to have a decent intelligence, the Golden Scroll allowed Orbeck to sell Twisted Wall of Light. It negates all of Aldrich's ranged attacks (yes, the Moonlight Arrow-storm is a spell) and I think it may work on his Lifehunt Scythe (though I never bothered to risk it). No good in a firebomb only run, but useful if his projectiles are kicking you around his sludge pit.
@@theapexsurvivor9538 Very true. If you have the faith, Vow of Silence is even better. Doesn't help if you rely on magic, but if you have that much faith and rely on spells, Magic Barrier (Irina sells it after you give her the Braille Divine Tome of Carim) or Great Magic Barrier (which is in Archdragon Peak, requiring you to kill the Dancer of the Boreal Valley early) will do nicely as well.

I love dark souls 3 a lot, but build variety is it’s weakest point. Kudos to beating vanilla Dark Souls 3 with only firebombs, but the fact you could handle chunks of the dlc’s of the other games with only firebomb’s elevates them more in my eyes.
I admire the dedication and discipline that goes into suffering through this, but the thing that really blew me away was the Gwyndoling arrow tip. I've cleared this game at least ten times, and I never knew the altar had a "roof" to shield you from the arrows. Just imagine how much rage I could have saved myself if I had known sooner.
I know this isn't related to the video but i want to say thanks for getting me into Salt and sanctuary. I beat it recently and had a blast with it, thanks to your wiki i did not suffer that much with massive island (i always getting lost in big maps without a map).
This has the vibes of Lobosjr's first Dark Souls 1 "Use What You See" Randomizer run. Had to restart it twice due to being essentially soft-locked out of progress, slow walking without the stats to weild weapon.

I'm pretty sure Patches saves Greirat while dressed as Siegward(to protect his mean guy identity) and giving the armor to Siegy has no bearing on Greirat coming back. Edit: looked it up. @@brennonaflinglas1460 they're asking if there was a way to drop the items before dropping down, then ferry the dropped items to the fog wall from where he'd dropped them. I am maybe 30% sure that you actually travelled through time when you left Firelink Shrine. The Untended Graves is in the same time as everything in the game, and Firelink is in its own pocket time space or whatever. 4:13 Fall damage in Dark Souls games particularly always bugged me… you can use a 500lb sword to block a hit from a massive dragon and absorb that force into your core, back and legs and get you fall 10 feet and just fucking die.
Wait until he finds out he could've used the Skull Ring from Ludleth to keep Yhorm's aggro
A truly spectacular one. Merry Boxing day to Lemon, Ms. Lemon, and everyone in the comments
Congratulations lemon, you beat the dark souls trilogy with only firebombs (and other flavors)
I may be misremembering this but doesn't the greatwolf have a gimmick where if you defeat it in it's out of boss encounters it has less health in the boss?
Ov never heard of that. But iv 9nly killed the great wolf oncr out of the boss battle.
Yes.
And they really didn't want you to kill the second one since seemingly a million wolves will jump at you in the second encounter.
@@nathanjora7627 most, if not all, of the wolves that jump you during the second encounter can be seen and killed with a bow before they jump down. If you want to go through the trouble.
@@pleaseendme69 Have to admit I don't use bows enough to have cared to try, and even then it's still BS in regard to the gimmick.
That said for a fire bomb run I'm not sure how viable that'd be considering that he'd have to kill Alm the wolves and have enough spared to either kill or substantially harm the great wolf, I forgot which one.
@@nathanjora7627 yeah, I don't think it would be viable for a fire bomb run. You might be able to hit some of them if you really try. But just in casual playthroughs it's something to consider to make that fight easier.
24:00 Holy crap, Lemon. I didn’t know I could respect you more.
Alternatively, if you have yuria and karla, you can grab vow of silence to shut his magic off entirely.
Just started watching, but holy cow I love the intro bit so much :D
Expertly done ^^
Yo kudos though for even trying the optional bosses! If I was doing something like this I would coward out and not even attempt anything other than the bare minimum amount of bosses to clear the game. Pity about the Yhorm fight. The moment I saw that happen I was like "oh no please tell me Lemon backed up his save first". Oof.
i’ve been watching this series for years and it’s still amazing to see the absolute chaos that is this citrus madman finding ways to break the game
Your patience really is the stuff of legends
28:25 they DELIVERED on the dragon fights in elden ring
I know this isn't related to the video but i want to say thanks for getting me into Salt and sanctuary. I beat it recently and had a blast with it, thanks to your wiki i did not suffer that much with massive island (i always getting lost in big maps without a map).
Glad you had a good time! Always good to hear the wiki is working :)
I watch a lot of challenge runs, but this, especially the bombs by the door, is above and beyond. Well done you.
your patience in the face of sheer agonizing grind is the stuff of L E G E N D S
thank you so much for the great content
This has the vibes of Lobosjr's first Dark Souls 1 "Use What You See" Randomizer run. Had to restart it twice due to being essentially soft-locked out of progress, slow walking without the stats to weild weapon.
Thanks for making my day lemon. I’m sorry you had to sit through so much torment but you did a really good job on the video.
So. I just finished the game yesterday and I kinda fell in love with the game. I'm definitely going to play the other ones too and I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying watching your videos after surviving several heart attacks from the game
13:30 I would pay for a mod that made the skeletons talk like this
That Pontiff ember restoration right at the peak of the emote was so satisfying i had to watch it a few times
This is probably one of the more masochistic Soulslike challenge runs I've seen.
*beep boop* feed the algorithm *beep boop*
Excellent content, good on you for persevering.
+1 for Fallen Knight set. I think every character I've run through ds3 has worn it for at least part of the run.
Love all the content you do. Can't wait for Salt and Sacrifice!
absolutely incredible. Don’t expect you to want to do this run anymore after what you’ve endured but if you still wanted to give the dlc a go, you could try summon in phantoms to only drop you some bombs. Once again epic video with story and everything!
As someone who takes a long time to learn games, your dedication is inspiring :D
Jesus, the amount of "well gonna have to do it all over again" in this run, you are a mad lad. I feel obligated to like and subscribe for such effort lol
To all these "Can I beat DS3 with only...?" the answer is yes 90% of the time. It is still amazing to see it accomplished!!! It is limiting so many features of the game, yet the person is skilled enough to defeat the whole game!!!
Thank you for your video!
I'll still watch them most of the time because ds games are built in a way that these restrictions might be actuall run killers, most of the time damage wise, so there's still suspense unlike a fallout:nv run for example where you know you can cheese the game with speech no matter what
Another amazing run. Thank you for your struggles and patience in making this.
I'm pretty sure Patches saves Greirat while dressed as Siegward(to protect his mean guy identity) and giving the armor to Siegy has no bearing on Greirat coming back.
Edit: looked it up. It's either or. Siegward will save him if he's there, Patches will save him if you tell Patches where Greirat is.
The amount of effort put in this run man. Thank you so much ♥
so excited to watch this, been in the car for hours. Thanks for making my day better dude!
17:04 thanks a lot my man! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH SO MANY TIMES I HAVE DIED TO THE ARROWS!! NOT THE ARROWS!!! NOT THE BEE- I mean
How about leaving the firebombs in the ledge of the entrance to nameless and transporting them that way to the fog gate in two steps?
To get baxk after dropping down he would have to homeward bone which as he already explained; despawns the bombs :(
@@brennonaflinglas1460 they're asking if there was a way to drop the items before dropping down, then ferry the dropped items to the fog wall from where he'd dropped them.
And the answer is maybe, but probably not, as you'd need to find somewhere low enough that you can reach the items, and dark souls is notorious for not letting your character reach up to grab something.
@@theapexsurvivor9538 yeah seems like it would be another situation like that really thick fog wall :(
Lemme just say this, The Thumbnail for this video is beautiful
I am maybe 30% sure that you actually travelled through time when you left Firelink Shrine. The Untended Graves is in the same time as everything in the game, and Firelink is in its own pocket time space or whatever. That's why Gundyr has been overtaken by the black stuff outside Firelink when he's simply standing guard in the Untended Graves.
Just gonna point out that I have no idea if this is right.
Wanna learn the lore you should watch some vaatividya
@@dylanmatajcich5546 I've seen all of his stuff already. He even says he's not sure in the Boss Lore video.
The overhang cancelling Aldrich's arrow attack entirely makes that fight sooooooo much better, thanks for showing us how to do that mate!
Next step : legend of grimrock using only fire bombs =p (ok you'd be allowed other elements too!)
actually I think the second game might be possible like that, if I remember correcttly you can do bombs with alchemy and you have a class that can multiply alchemical ingredients.
I'm convinced Andre is a remnant of the Blacksmith Deity.
13:58 "...at least it's quiet." "HOW YOU DOIN', MEATBAG!?" lol'd irl
this was great fun
Him: manages king of the storm with firebombs
Me: cant consistantly get into phase 2 and almost always dies do to the camera
I can really resonate with the "I can see the code" comment on the Dragonslayer Armour boss fight, it doesn't happen with every boss I fight but there are some hard fights where halfway through the fight, I already know it is the one. Nameless King, Radagon/Elden Beast and Hoarah Loux were a few where it happened
I admire your dedication to entertain us with suffering. Good job.
Didnt even mention how he would have redone the dragonslayer armour fight again just to respawn carl
I was thinking this run was gonna be bad for your mental health, but then you re-did the entire thing for Dragon Slayer Armor, and i realized you died in the inside early in this run
getting real close to the other madman ymfah there my dude, be careful
that could've been prevented if he made a backup of his save file before the fight, but oh well
Imagine needing to grind weeks just to beat Vordt, the boss that you can easily punch to death within like 2 minutes. Anytime I’m struggling on a Fromsoft game I comeback to this video. It makes for some damn good motivation
If I remember, BloodBorne Molotov only is literally Impossible without cheating, a consumable only is the same
I don’t know much about blood borne but the same thing was thought about DS1 with quelagg having infinite fire resistance but he still made it work
@@dylanmatajcich5546 it's not much about resistances, but about sheer HP
ymfah did it
Consumables only Bloodborne is very doable
This is so weird seeing someone making videos on Ds3 in 2022 who hasn't mastered every fight. Kind of fun to see
Those skeletons sure sound canadian!!
Btw backlogs we’d be fine if u just started an earlier save instead of having to restart the entire game when you mess up.
holy shit that was impressive. i'm also noticing you got way better at video making! congrats on everything man, it's been a joy watching your channel grow. kudos on the perseverance
so its a consumables only run but with less consumables?
Yes! It is
Less is more.
Fun fact: those 23 seconds of that elevator ride can easily fit in Bulls on Parade's intro by Rage Against the Machine. I use it everytime I fight Dragonslayer Armour. I don't know why but it suits the fight's mood as well.
Now for demon souls
Then bloodborne Molotov only after
17:02 what the f-
I'VE BEEN GETTING HIT BY THIS MOVE WITH NO IDEA OF HOW TO DODGE IT FOR THE LAST....wait I bought DS3 this year oh shit there goes the dramatic effect
I thought the title said "Darksouls 3 : Femboys only" and I have to say Im disappointed
I love the armor in DS3. Some of my favorite in the series. That deserter chest piece with its torn cloth is one of my favorite. As well as the Xanthus chest. And this has my favorite helmet in all of Soulsborne, Hodrick's helm. Kinda like the Abyss Watches helm, but not as pointy and it's tilted to the side with a mask/collar that looks great with just about everything.
I saw this comment, loaded up DS3, threw together the armor pieces you mentioned and now i'm drippy asf. You have some great taste i'll say.
@@homelander6604 thanks. DS3 had some amazing drip options. Best in the series imo. So many great armor sets that you could mix and match to make a sick outfit.
I love these videos! It's hard to find youtubers like this, that have the dedication to runs. WP
"God damn meatbag!" I'm dying 🤣
My wife and I found the Backlogs after giving Salt and Sanctuary a try together and this is *easily* my favorite YT channel I've found in the last year!
Can't wait for Salt and Sacrifice and Elden Ring stuff ^^
4:13 Fall damage in Dark Souls games particularly always bugged me… you can use a 500lb sword to block a hit from a massive dragon and absorb that force into your core, back and legs and get you fall 10 feet and just fucking die. When I was 13 I jumped from the second story roof of my house regularly and I wasn’t fighting giants and lava STDs…
Then… they rub it in your face during cutscenes or scripted events where you casually fall hundreds of feet just fine! As if they’re laughing at you like “hahaha remember when you missed that jump and died from a 15 foot drop with full health? Check this shit out… yeeeeet!” Ughh..
35:01 - Yo, what is this song!?
I come back to these vids over and again Lemon, love your work.
really want to know too
Every time you die with items on the ground, it sends those items to someone elses game as a revenant. Lemon has sent sooooo many revenants out.
15:28 Jurassic Park reference 😊
Aldrich's rain of arrows is the bane of every playthrough i make of this game. You just changed everything with that little tip.
Glad to know I’m not the only one who destroys the sorcerer teachers things when he leaves
13:30 THE TONYS 🤣
The intro for this was perfect
I just saw the S&S run that tells the lore of this series and it makes it so much more invested
17:17 I didn't know.
Thanks for the tip.
I love this series it has kept me occupied while I am quarantined
Technically, firebombs and lightning urns are classified as "projectiles" in the game. Same classification they share with “Dung Pie” and “Stalk Dung Pie” .. maybe the Gravetender can fall to this one.. by the way, sorry about my english and greetings from Argentina! Keep it up man!
