BMW B48 B38 B58 B47 B57 Coolant Leak Engine Block Coolant Connector Failure

  • BMW B48 with a failed engine block coolant connector. Once the cooling system was pressurised,it was clear that the connector had split causing the coolant leak. Due to normal engine operating heat cycles and the material being plastic, overtime this will eventually deteriorate and crack allowing coolant loss in the circuit.

      @@tubeYou-by4qd doesn't take too long - maybe around 1-2 hours depending on how quickly you decide to do it 😉 - no video on how to do it, but very straight forward, you can do this without taking manifold off, but easier with manifold off - plenty of room

    I'm replacing a bunch of hoses - including this one on my BMW with B48 - seems like a common problem.

      Very common problem after years of constant heat cycles - The part number should be 11 11 8511205 - i hope this video helps out, best of luck with the repair and don't forget to subscribe for more content

    Using aluminuim version will be trouble free
