TIP FOR ANXIETY ATTACKS: This is called "tipping the temperature". If you are having a panic attack or feeling suddenly overwhelmed, grab a cold washcloth or ice pack/bag of peas and drape it under your eyes/across your nose. Then, bend so that your head is below your heart and hold your breath for 30 seconds. This activates the dive reflex and sends the signal to your vagus nerves (the ones that connect your heart, lungs, neck and abdomen to your brain) to slow everything in your body down. Your breathing will slow, your heart rate will go down, and your mind will stop racing. If you practice doing this when you are not having anxiety you won't notice a difference but if you are upset and do it you will notice a difference almost immediately. It's a life saver.
Ellen S this explains why I did ok getting my blood drawn (I get anxious and have passed out before) when the phlebotomist gave me a cold pack to hold.

@@youdontneedtoknow9980 I always take an ice pack with me when I get my blood drawn. if I have two, I'll take both. one of the back of my neck and one for my forehead. it really helps!

This explains why when I was younger and I was having an anxiety or a panic attack I would go to the freezer and stick my head in there for like 5 minutes and it always made me feel better. Glad to know there's scientific back up😂

Hong Kong locals aren't very handsy. Lmao a few years ago a man stole a woman's purse and it was headline news because it was such a rarity. Turned out he was from the mainland I think. But Hong Kong's a pretty respectful place, locals considered.

Pop sockets and tight jeans are basically an anti theft devices lol I have a hard enough time getting my phone out of my own back pocket
@@krisb5695 Idk I live in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and although the locals are to be trusted, there's alot of people from over the border that like to pickpocket in Amsterdam. I've seen alot happen, so I'm alot more careful. One time my phone got stolen from behind the counter (on the camera you could literally see him go behind it).
2019 has been my worst year yet as well. Not only did I fail my bachelor's thesis and have to write a new one, I also lost my grandmother and get news about the world going to shit every single day. Trying to stay optimistic and make positive changes to my life, but it's hard. I wish you all the luck and am sending you good vibes. We'll make it through this year!
2019 has not necessarily been my worst year but the one with the most changes. I'm not adapting fast and getting annoyed with myself these days every so often. Unsure about a lot of things at the moment. So yeah just wanted to send you and taytay good vibes as well. Fighting ♡

i stop watching taylor's vids but watching this made me feel really happy and emotional because ever since taylor moved out from japan she seems really happy and in a good state of mind. Being able to hangout with her friends and socialize more has made her a better person I'M NOT CRYING OK ALSO NATALIE IS SUCH A QUEEN LOVE HER!!

I know the situation in HK is unsettling, but please don't worry. Worrying is not helpful, it just adds stress and affects your mental and physical health. You and Tom should make plans to leave when things get to be too much. You already have another home in Canada. I know his businesses (and yours!) are probably more complicated, but as for yourselves and Rosie, get things in order so you can leave quickly if you have to. Get Rosie's shots up to date, make sure your passports and other documentation are in order and maybe find out ways to get out of HK if the airport closes. Once you have your plans in place hopefully you can feel a bit more peaceful knowing that no matter what happens, you have a way out and safe place to get to. I think of you and your little family every day and pray that you'll feel calm and safe. 💖

@@alices3486 it's been world news for like two months. Nearly daily protests, clashes with the police. Residents of Hong Kong are protesting China's growing influence in HK politics, even though they promised to leave HK alone for another 30 years after the 1997 handover from Britain. The airport has closed because of protests (temporarily, pretty sure it's open again) but it's a huge deal and China was even bringing a lot of soldiers to the border with HK to show a threat of force if the protesters didn't calm down. It's still a mess and could become an even worse situation.

Please don’t apologize for talking about your feelings, your fears, and the uncertainties of life. We all have those things, too. I think it is healthy to identify these feelings. Say it out loud and then you can begin to better understand and get a grasp on it. If we bottle it up and refuse to acknowledge it, it festers and causes more insecurity. It’s ok for you to have these emotions and these thoughts, Taylor. Please continue to be as open as you’re comfortable being with us.

Please don't feel the need to put a smile on as soon as you turn on the camera. We all love you for being real, authentic and just yourself. The world ist no "Ponyhof" like we use to say in Germany. 😜 There will always be dark and gloomy times and situations. The upside is to see, how you manage everything and conquer all the difficulties.
And I am soooooo jealous because of the Oatly package! It's sold out at all my go to stores and even online shops, too.

I've had some serious nostalgia/homesick vibes for Hong Kong lately. It's been almost 10 years since I've visited and I'm really feeling restless to come back. HK captured my heart, so it's so nice to see you sharing your life there, and also with other creators who have come to visit such a unique country!

Thank you for talking about uncertainty and rough patches in life. I've been through some stuff this year as well and it is really hard to put on a brave face everyday and feel strong everyday for the people around you that need you. And sometimes we forget about ourselves in the midst of it all. I feel like you shouldn't try to diminish your feelings just because someone else might have it harder. Please do talk about your struggles and feelings, don't undervalue them or ignore them. It is important that you realize that because I feel like you have a nice giving soul and maybe sometimes you may feel guilty for feeling sad or anxious. You shouldn't feel guilty. Thank you for opening up! Hope everything gets better!!! Maybe with the turn of the decade ☺️

Taylor, I'm sure you already know this by now but I just want to say it again for reassurance, but it's okay to feel down and you don't need to be apologetic about it. We're all human. We can't always be happy. We're built to feel a whole spectrum of emotions. Not everything in life is perfect, there will be days when things feel like the end of the world, and I'm so so, so happy that at least you found a safe haven in your husband during those tough times. My husband loves putting together model planes and ships. I bought him one back in 1992 (an F-14 Tomcat after we watched Top Gun together) and now he’s building the Enterprise (the aircraft carrier, CVN-65, not the starship). I love that he has a hobby that brings him so much happiness. :)
