*My modifications: I used 4 cups of red wine, no chicken stock, no brandy, no pearl onions (because I couldn’t find some in Hong Kong). For the Beurre manie I used 2 tablespoons tapioca starch + 1 tablespoon softened butter (Paleo/GF option). I also added salt & pepper.

Am I the only one who needs more home/interior content from Taylor?? Their home just looks so peaceful and the concrete is just everything. Love it.
Yesss
Her bedroom alone is already bigger than many people's entire home in Hong Kong. I've been waiting for a home tour but there's none so I can only do sneak peek here and there in her videos lol
@@brianlam257 lol I thought I was the only one.
@@brianlam257 i know this is an old comment, but there’s an article about their home. Just search for it on google. :)
Tay BOLDLY cooking dark juicy food in white top...goals😂💕
Exactly what I was thinking!! 😂🤩
Didn't even pull up her sleeves. Quite bold.
And then eating as well... I want to find that level of self-confidence :'D
I have a lot of respect for you that you didn't just try to clickbait people to watch the whole video and instead put in the time stamp in the beginning for where to skip to for the vaccine part. Very classy of you.
I reallly love how you have evolved as a person, looking at you know and remembering old vlogs has giving me perspective on what a great thing is to find yourself and love it. I really admire you Tay Tay, you're a good role model.
I really do love the bangs on you Taylor!!! I know you’re not a fan, but I think they have a very cute and classic look to them! You pull them off wonderfully!
They’ve grown on me 😉 both literally and figuratively

You truly are a beautiful human inside and out Taylor! Thank you for always sharing my work with your viewers and just being a supportive friend in general.
Also: YOU ROCKED THE BANGS!
And finally, totally gonna make coq au vin now too! 🤤🤤🤤
Love you! Enjoy your Coq Au Vin! ❤️❤️
You know you've hit the dinner out of the park when Tom goes "WHOOA" ;) can't wait til we all can travel again. Grats on getting the vaccine. Got mine a bit ago, phew :)
That meal looked a bit like a Mexican mole I've eaten and now I'm craving it.
Taylor and Tom are couple goals! They are so positive and supportive of each other and you can truly tell how much they love each other 😭❤️😊
...you are incredibly brave cooking in a white top.

My grandpa who's over 80 y/o just got his second vacine today (moderna). He's feeling good, no side effects yet.
We're getting closer to fighting this virus. Wear your masks and get vacinated if you have the chance!
Awesome! My Nana didn’t have any either 👍 covid also broke out in her home and she didn’t get it thankfully.
The only side effects I had after the second was fatigue, and some chills,I had the Moderna too
So nice to know you are all good! Taylor which one was the one you put?
I’ve heard that the moderna one seems to give people covid like symptoms and it’s supposed to mean that it’s working and you’re body is adapting. Which sound like a good thing to me.
@@dairyfree321 I read that severity of side effects could indicate how strong your immune system is so some people who are immunocompromised are likely to have less and less severe side effects.
Apparently younger people and women are also more likely to have side effects. All the data is still coming in but that's just from an article I read today.
I’m a teacher here in Hong Kong and so glad I was also able to get my vaccine. Fingers crossed we can get some normality back in our lives 😊
🤞🏻❤️
You will need a booster every 6-12 months.
A booster with no clinical trials.
So, SO good that you talk openly about your vaccination experience! We are in need of positive role models in this thing, I believe... Back here in Germany where far away from your vaccination rate (right now all above age 70 and people in health care, social services etc are eligible) but I hope that, with more and more vaccinatiled people around the earth and more people sharing their honest experiences, we'll slowly, gradually achieve herd immunity. Can't wait for this day to come. Thank you Taylor! 💐❤️
In France we are at the same step as your country. That’s kind of depressing to see all of theses countries that have vaccinated their population so efficiently, where people are starting to live « normal » life again while we are stuck with a really slow vaccination... Where I live we are on the merge of going back in lock down. I feel like Europe didn’t handle well the vaccination campaign...
Is the problem in Germany more about the slow vaccination or because people don’t want to get vaccinated at all ?
You won't be immune though.
It's the same in the Netherlands! I was supposed to be vaccinated in February (autoimmune disease and suppressed immune system), but I'm now scheduled to get an appointment in May/June. Sadly, there's a lot of trouble with getting enough vaccines, so I'm preparing for the worst. I haven't left the house in a year now (except for treatments in the hospital) and I'm near my limit 😵 I want to go outside again!
@@Yoyocreative Good luck to you and stay strong. 😔 I hope you’ll get to be vaccinated soon ! Being at home for that long is really not easy...
@@chachagau it's the slow vaccination. I heard in France are many people against vaccination, is that right?

Tell Elbow a 'messy' kitchen is the sign of a good chef. A kitchen is a functional place where meals are prepared. A 'neat' kitchen can often be a sign of a person who never cooks or prepares anything 😊.
I was vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine at the end of February and immediately got chills that same night. 🥶 The second day I had a fever and my arm hurt (I couldn't lie on it for a few days). Otherwise everything was fine except for tiredness. 😴 I have no allergies or risk factors, I'm 22 and work in the medical field. So it is very important to me to protect people who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons. Thanks for sharing your experience. ☺️ Have a nice spring and stay safe! 🌸💐🍃
Same with my boyfriend!
well...some people died coz this vaccine. that's why it banned in many countries and changed its brand to Vaxzevria. It's fortunate you're ok.
@@valenasnowy778 It's not sure if it was the cause of the vaccine.
@@valenasnowy778 Of course there is a risk of side effects and many older people are more vulnerable (but this is the case with almost all vaccinations). Still, it doesn't compare to the disease. Since I am young and have no allergies/ previous illnesses, AstraZeneka was okay with me. The immune system reacts very quickly, especially for young, healthy people. Because of this, many get a fever, etc. (immune response) 😷
As an elderly person or someone with a health problem, I would rather wait for one of the other vaccines. (like Pfizer) I really hope you haven't lost anyone. If so, of course you have my sincere condolences! 🙏
@Valena Snowy Unfortunately people spreading rumours like this is putting some people off getting the vaccine and preventing the disease being controlled. The vaccine is safe and any side effects are much less problematic than the risks of getting coronovirus
Love the video. Thanks. The Coq Au Vin looked great! I've been wanting to make it for forever, so I'm going to try using the recipe you used. Glad you 2 were able to get vaccinated.
I haven't feel this happy and relaxed in some time, your vlogs give a nostalgic feeling since I've been watching you since I was in high school:) I hope everything goes well for you, thank you for giving me this happiness.

You are so kind!!! 🤍 Love your videos, they bring me so much joy!
So happy to see you and your grandma vaccinated ❤️ stay well Taylor
your friendship with joyce is so cute 🥺
Thank you Taylor for bring both the dark side of humanity and the light side. My husband's 68 year old aunt was spit on by some jerk who then shouted fake Chinese words at her, mocking the language. Our Aunt Sunny, has never ever hurt anymore. Before covid, she use to open her restaurant on Sunday to homeless people and their families for a free meal. It's so unfair.
Thank you so much for this vlog Tay! It's so good to see you looking so happy and healthy. I've been feeling down this vlog really put a smile on my face and lifted my spirits (as I'm sure it did for everyone else!) I love your short bangs they look adorable! Hugs and kisses from the UK. xxx

Taylor! Your skin has gotten a lot better in this vlog and you look glowing, I would love to see an updated skincare routine :)
I am super entertained by Taylor speaking Cantonese. Please do more!
The vaccines are getting a lot of bad press in Hong Kong and I'm super happy Taylor got it and is so positive about it!
I just want to summarise a few points re vaccines:
1. While the absolute death rates are low, there are plenty experiencing 'long COVID', fatigue, loss of smell and taste, bad circulation, lung damage etc. So while being healthy and young may make one unlikely to die from COVID, it doesn't mean you shouldn't take the vaccine to prevent potential long term effects.
2. Re side effects. Common side effects like soreness, headaches, fever, chills go away in a day or two. There are different occurrences for rarer side effects, but the benefits outweighs the risks (as most of the regulatory authorities around the world have assessed), but do consult your doctors if you're concerned (like Taylor said)
3. The faster the population gets vaccinated, the earlier society can reopen. Look at Israel as an example. The UK also had the first zero death day yesterday. It is quite clear by now that the vaccine rollout is helping to keep people out of hospitals.
4. Re waiting for people to get it first because you're not sure whether it is safe. Millions and millions around the world have already been injected with the vaccine and the effects are generally very well understood.
5. Re vaccine-related deaths. It has not been shown that any vaccines have caused deaths. Deaths happen every day with or without the vaccine, which is why scientists compare the occurrence of death in the placebo group (control group) and the vaccinated group in the clinical trials.
6. Re variants. Most of the commercially available vaccines show some effects on variants, but we are likely to need booster shots for variants going forward.
7. After receiving the vaccine, it takes a few days-weeks to establish immunity, so don't drop all precautions right after taking the vaccine.
I hope this is useful for people questioning the vaccines or who are unsure about taking them. And as Taylor said, do consult your doctor if you're still unsure :)
(I'm doing a phd in biomedical engineering, had the Oxford/Astrazeneca vaccine 2.5 weeks ago, experienced 38.4C fever, chills, headache the day after, but all side effects are gone 2 days after receiving the vaccine)
RNA CHIMPANZE VIRUS DNA IN IT is normal and safr NOT
@@tranquillity.1 They are harmless viruses used to deliver the spike protein (on the surface of coronavirus) to allow the body to react without the bad real COVID effects. Once the body remembers the spike protein, the next time the body encounters the spike protein on the real coronavirus, it will know to produce a lot of antibodies to fight off the disease. Our bodies encounter a lot of viruses and bacteria every day, but only some are actually bad for you while others are harmless, so it's totally safe (backed up by clinical trials and millions have taken the vaccine).
Great comment @Gloria! Some people get worried, when they hear words like "scientific studies", "synthetic" and "chemicals" regarding medical treatments. Those words are sometimes associated with negative connotations in certain groups, but most of the worries aren't grounded in reality. I think a nice way to think about medicine and clinical studies is that there is a generations long tradition of finding out what is best for one's health. Randomized controlled studies are literally developed to make sure that i.e. treatments are effective, the effects are not just placebo and any possible side effects are caught. When someone recommeds a remedy without having a reputable study/studies to back it up, none of those factors are accounted for. People worried about vaccines are highly interested in their health, but might be listening to fradulent parties trying to make profit out of their worries.
It would be great, if everyone interested in their and their loved ones health could see the value in the heritage left by all the people before them, who have dedicated their lives to better the heath of all people. It's okay to be worried and to have doubts, but the best place to bring those up is a doctors office.
@@elina7038 Indeed, the scientific process, clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, etc etc are all in place this day and age from past learnings in drug development to optimize safety (most important) and efficacy. All the clinical trial data have been reviewed rigorously by experts in regulatory agencies, professors who peer-reviewed the data in publications. These hurdles are all there to protect the public.
thank you for this!!!! people need to understand taking the vaccination is not just for you but for the whole world. also glad you had good experiences with astrazeneca since I got a bit scared due to the small amount of complications that happened! and I'm likely to get it due july.

Just a note. It is not normal to wait 30min to check for allergic reactions after most vaccinations. For example you don’t wait after a flu vaccination or a Shingles vaccination or for most vaccinations (chickenpox etc.).
I have allergies so I was asked to, to be safe.
I am so grateful people are speaking about the vaccine. I unfortunately had an allergic reaction which sucks but it's good to hear about the positives .
What kind of reaction?

@@anniebell6846 Thank you for answering.
@@blue_sky_bright_sun7599 As you have autoimmune condition, you are at higher risk of covid and so its a good idea to have the vaccine if you can. Speak to your doctor to get their opinion on this...good luck!
@@hinger25 I don't have autoimmune. Just suspecting. 😉 In that case it would be riskier to get the vaccine that's been cooked in merely 6 months as it's been demonstrated. 😉

When I watch her vlogs it always cheers me up ❤ I can't wait to get the vaccine and to see my family hopefully this summer ❤
To me it's absolutely worth it to get the vaccine. I'd just like to share my experience since we don't all react the same to it. It's a bit long but hopefully it will help someone to know it's normal side effects and that you'll be okay. (Always consult your doctor with any questions or doubts though.)
I got the Pfizer first dose on Saturday. In the first 30 minutes I had no side effects at all. About 2 hours afterwards I started getting pain in my neck on the side I got the shot. Similar to when you mess up your neck sleeping in a very bad position. Thank you Tay for mentioning about moving your arm because I tried doing that as much as I could.
I then went to take a shower (you'll see why it's relevant that I'm even mentioning it). Then my back started to hurt all the way from my neck to my lower back on both sides. It felt like all my muscles were extremely tight and I was getting spasms in my back. It was a struggle to finish washing my hair and even get out of the shower. At that point about 3 hours post vaccine I was walking like a stiff robot because of my back pain and I basically flopped onto my bed as best as I could. Pushing my back against my pillows helped it feel better. Then I started getting chills and my entire body was shaking; that lasted over an hour until they suddenly just stopped. I got a pins and needles stabbing feeling all over my body and a rash that looked and felt exactly like other allergic reactions I've had spread on my arms and part of my legs. I took two different antihistamines and treated it as I would any other allergic reaction. I do have known allergies to medications as well as food.
Later that night I developed a slight fever.
My back is slowly getting better each day but still hurts today (Tuesday). The pain is a stinging pain like when you stretch a nerve or something (it's a bit hard to explain). I was finally able to sleep on the arm I got the shot on. I again had a slight fever today.
On contrast my mom only felt slight flashes of nausea in the first 30 minutes and besides the normal arms soreness, she was perfectly fine without any side effects.
How are you now 5 months later?
*New video YAAYYY!* ❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨
Just got my first shot today! One step closer 🤗

Orchid’s love ice cubes. Little plants like 1 ice cube, bigger plants like 3 or 4 once a week. They also like living in your bathroom when you shower. Depending on the species they will bloom once or twice a year. When the flowers die the rest of the plant is fine. Hope this helps to keep your orchids alive for years to come.
