I've seen some photos of Party Source from 10 years ago with the entire EH Taylor line hanging out on the shelf. Made my stomach ache. You guys are from Columbus?
Back again, did you happen to go to Willett Distillery? If you left Bardstown going to Jim Beam, then you passed it on your left. I have seen a lot of good reiews for there p[urple top bottle of Bourbon, I haven't tried it. But I have have several bottles of their Pot Still, which I liked, but the last one, no. There are some videos that it was MPG, until their barrels were ready. The distillery is small, but interesting. Drew, the master distiller is nice and he is part of the family owners.
Hi, I just came accross you guys. So your from Columbus Ohio, well I live in Sidney, 40 miles north of Dayton on I 75. I have been to Ky. so many times I can't count them. I have been looking for 1792 Sweet Wheat for YEARS, I did pick up a full proof here at Krogers a few months ago. Its a shame that Barton Distillery is closed for tours, but it sure makes Bardstown smell good when you drive by it. Buffalo Trace is a great distillery to visit. Did uyou get a tour? They have so many differant ones, and I have done them all, several times each. There are so many distilleries to visit in the area around Shelbyville The most unique is Glens Creek, it's just down the road from Castle and Key and Woodford. Its a super small distillery but its worth a stop. Try O.C.D.#5 and Mike the owner and distiller may sign it for you. You could spend several days in Bardstown touring distilleries, Makers is only 16 miles away. I could go on and on. Liked your video............and I did subscribe.
If he's not drinking stuff neat and only mixing his bourbon then I wouldn't suggest buying anything to expensive. Just wasting money at that point. The cheap stuff tastes almost the same as an expensive or hard to find bottle when mixed.
@@whiskey_weather When I'm driving home from Nashville to Buffalo I always stop there to pick up a case of JTS Brown Bonded. I can't find that anywhere else.
Exactly my thought. I always hate the "just make relationships!" (or participate in "loyalty" programs) - Translation spend hundreds or thousands to MAYBE get something at MSRP. I'd rather just pay secondary and get what I want. I don't have the time or liver to buy a bunch of stuff I don't really want.
If you are looking for Japanese whiskey I would recommend the Hibiki Harmony. As a plus, it has a great bottle that makes a great infinity bottle afterward. The best go to scotch I give to primarily bourbon drinkers interested in trying scotches would be Tomatin Dualchas. That is an awful loyalty program. We have some of those here in Texas as well but much better points system.
What good spirits location did you hit? Most of the ones I've been to down there are much smaller. They also do love putting out those packaged basket/bucket deals!
Nice video.heaven Hill 7 Year BIB has been $36.99 at my local store for 4 months. Traveler is $28.99 at the same place. If you can find Wilderness Trail 8 Year, that would be the one to get. 🥃
All the Good Spirits stores are a rip off. They are the highest priced places around Northern Kentucky. Party Source and Liquor Barn stores are the best places to shop. Most of these stores charge over secondary or make you pay high prices with other bottles to get the one you want. Also Liquor Barn has a great selection to try.
I think I need to revisit new riff, I had it maybe 2 years ago and it was decent, but Ive heard so many people talk about how good the newest batch is.
@@TheMashBrothers The Toasted is a pure buy. 125$ at the distillery. Party Source had it for 99. Absolutely banger bottle. Would've been happy with it at 125$ even.
Why make a 20+ minute video that mostly highlights all the stuff you’ve never had or heard of??Nearly nothing was rare, with most bottles that were called out being readily available and likely tasted by anybody with even a year or two drinking bourbon. Just don’t get the point…
Rewards programs are crap. I’ll never buy from a place like that. Imagine not being able to buy certain products at Walmart until you spend a certain amount. Ridiculous!!
Be sure to SMASH that like button and tell somebody you love em! 🤍🙏🏼
We love you 🫶🏼
Great video!
Thank ya
jefferson ocean voyage 22 was good!
I forget which voyage I had, but it was decent. I was not a fan of the tropics though. I may have to revisit them.

Oh how I'd wish to see that again. Yes we are from Columbus
Can’t beat the full proof and bonded benchmark for the price
We may be aging our own full proof here soon and doing a cool little finishing on it👀

Lesson - Buy your liquor at Costco.
They have the best deals always
The only scotch I've found that I like so far is Glenmorangie 14 year. That shit is delicious!
I've heard of that one, but havent tried it yet. Ill keep my eyes out next time I see it.
Old Route 8 Terrible at any price, worst I tasted at Ky Bourbon Fest.
I love the Old Route 8. Bought a backup!
Taters are going to tate.
🥔😅
Should have hit Uncorked, 3 blocks away from stadium liquors
I'll have to remember that next time I'm down that way! I think I may have been there once before, but its been years.
Great selection there, but unfortunately they have the points system that goes away after 6 months...
Copper and King’s has 15 year Heaven Hill in the blend.

Great video guys! Won't be long til you hit 1k Subscribers! Love seeing the Northern Kentucky stores, already planning a trip to there for next year!
Much love!
Tried the copper and king. Not worth it. Taste young, little sweet and flat and back end
Thanks for the tip
Nice content. So many great selections in Kentucky. You asked about scotch. The Macallan 15 is so good. Hibiki suntory whisky is a great Japanese one
We appreciate that! We will have to give those a try!
Great video guys!!! U got a new follower.
Cheers! Thank you
Hope you guys enjoy the Video! 😊🥃
🥳
Old forrester 1924, peerless double oak big miss
The peerless is def. on my must get list in the future.
kaiyo mizunura for japanese
That roses SIB taster is a must! two of those would be in my cart so fast...
Benchmark Old No. 8 is not an 8 year bourbon as you mentioned in your video.
I know... I totally misspoke and meant to add a caption to say it wasn't 8yrs but totally forgot to.
Thanks!

I’m getting there, Rome wasn’t built in a day
@@TheMashBrothers you're fine we all started that way I just wouldn't recommend buying anything to expensive till you do.
You passed on the old label tier six four Roses. Rookie mistake guys.
Oops 😅
I was just about to say something. Like cheech and Chong said, higher the better!
So you guys were in Florence "Y'all" Kentucky and didn't stop at Party Town? They have everything!
😅 mistakes were made
Yeah but the prices have been hiked up big time the last few months after they got bought out by Good Spirits... Bummer there.

With a points system like that, it’s cheaper just to pay secondary prices

Depends on secondary price for me, Somethings I don't mind paying a little more for, but some of these prices are just ridiculous.
I love that store! Killer selection. I hope to visit it one day.
Always a fun stop
Try the ardbeg uigeadail scotch. It's my favorite whiskey of all time. Damn good.
Last time I was there I picked up both bourbon and rye 13th colony. Definitely worth it
Man. I thought prices around my area were expensive, but that first store was bonkers for many of those bottles.
Recommendation Glenfiddich 14 yr bourbon barrel reserve
Down here in my neck of the woods! Next time you guys come through, let me know!
Will do! That could be a lot of fun!

The one off buttermilk pike in crescent hill
Yamazaki 12yr if you're going to try a Japanese Whisky, as a bourbon drinker that is what you'll want to try.
Thanks for suggestion!

Definitely like the liquor barns! We didn’t hit any on the trip unfortunately. Next time though 👀
Old Louisville B1 is amazing. I’ve bought 5 of them. Top 5 bottle in my collection.
It really is! I need to pick up a bottle
If I ever see the Kirkland Islay scotch again I’m buying a case. Don’t sleep on New Riff Single Barrel.
I think I need to revisit new riff, I had it maybe 2 years ago and it was decent, but Ive heard so many people talk about how good the newest batch is.
Old bardstown bottled in bond. It was a white label. You were right next to it. You could only get it in Kentucky. Look again
I’ve heard great things about it! Next time I’m in KY I’ll pick it up
Japanese? Yamato is easy…not complex but super Japanese. Kinda subtly perfect.
Sounds like i need to go pick some up! Thanks for the suggestion!
you should have grabbed one of their Belle of Bedford picks - 10yr mgp rye single barrel
I need to get into more ryes. I haven’t found many that I’m in love with right now
Bro passed up 1792 full proof store pick for a four roses single barrel 🤯
Mistakes were made 😅
Russell's store picks are amazing, especially the Camp Nelson Warehouse ones
That’s what we’ve heard. Should have grabbed one
Dark Arts all of them

AI to create the background and then just green screened ourselves to photoshop Luke and myself into the picture.

I was curious! Now I’m gonna have to go get some!
Walked right by the Peerless DO and Toasted. Both are fantastic bottles and we can't get either here in Ohio. I would have grabbed both.
I need to try both of those 👀
