In my Costco here in CA there are slim pickings. We only have 5 types of bourbon at my local store. There are so many more bottles at that location. I’d have to stock up on quite a few of those.
I'll go to Costco or Sams and get a few assorted 1.75s when I build my home bar. Great prices on a lot of those bottles. Thanks for the awesome content. 🥃👍
Thanks for the video. I didn't know why i didn't think to go to Sam's or Costco when i went to BT in May. I knew you were going to Kentucky I said I should suggested to look for The Southern Star paragon to take back to Colorado.
Ah man, makes me want to move! I love KC12 but can never find it, I love HM10 but it’s always pricey here, I love EW SiB but can never find it anymore! Man it must be nice up there. Good video Patrick, I appreciate seeing videos like these. Helps me plan where to buy my first house 😂
Hey man. I’m releasing a video in the next couple of weeks where I hit up a bunch of liquor stores from Denver to Kentucky and knob creek 12 was probably the most allocated bottle that I saw for msrp. I kinda want to love to bardstown but I need to convince the wife.
I think Jefferson’s ocean depends on the voyage. 22 and 23 are good. There is a slight saltiness that I happen to like. I have a light summer drink that I make were actually add a bit of pink Himalayan salt and mix with Fresca, which is a diet, grapefruit flavored soda. Then I spritz with grapefruit bitters.
Thanks for the information. This is why I talk about bottles like this on the channel. To hear other folks who have valuable insight. Thank you for sharing.
I have both of the 2XO bottles and they are very good. The American Oak is quintessential tastes with the brown sugar and baking spices tastes for me. The Kiawa has a little more spice on it I think but still very tastey.
funny how the prices change from state to state. the big handle of Knob 9 is about $10 cheaper in California, but the overall selection is much smaller here. wish my Costco had all these choices
I’ve done a few Costco videos and the price swings are sometimes close to 20%. I would say by far and away the cheapest so far has been Arizona and New Mexico.
I'd get three of those Lnob creek single barrels at that price around me they are 65. I'll take them over the 12 year too. The price on OF 1920 and the Four Roses would be buy and back up.
I'm also in NJ and the basic Michters were always $49 for a long time. But over the past 18 months to year most places are down to $45 or so. Not surprising it's down to that at least one place. I really like the American for something different and sweet.
They have cask strengths as well as toasted barrel versions of all of them. Plus there are the 10, 15, and 20 year old versions of both bourbon and rye. But the prices can get really out of hand quickly with Michters.
Just wondering 🤔, anybody ( or you, sir, and fellow enjoyers of great whisky and bourbon-- did you see any Bowman single barrel bourbon, or limited, single malt scotch-- i.e. Springbank, and Killkeran , etc? Cheers from ETn Smoky Mtns area
Personally, I would've racked up on that skid of Henry McKenna-- OMG❤😂😂 I need some backups! Talk about a dream store-- In East Tennessee where I live, Costcos can't sell whisky because of local laws--
@@richardbarrick1492 it’s only recently that supermarkets in Colorado have been able to sell liquor. Some old laws were changed. It’s slowly changing the landscape here.

It’s really helpful that you keep referring back to a bottle that you would still pick over the current bottle that you’re looking at.
Thanks. I try doing that as snitch as I can to give the viewer an alternative. Some states have x whiskey and some states have y.
Love this format! Great video
@@Buc5054 cheers! Thanks for the support.
fun visit. thanks for taking us along. cheers

Love hunt videos, Hate hunt videos in big box stores since none of the ones around me sell liquor. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks Don. At least you’ll know what to expect if you take a vacation.
Was nice to get your view point on the whiskeys and the prices. I would have bought a few there. Keep the hauls going as they are interesting.

@@Tylerdurhden I’ve been seeing some great finds in some Costcos out there in California. Old fire copper at a great price to start.

Great price on the 2XO Kiawah Blend. Like you I’ve never seen it for under $98
Another great video 😊
Cheers Thomas!

Great to know. I just had a patron send me a sample of the Kiawa blend which I’m hoping to get into soon.

Congrats on finding one of those old forester tall boys. I don’t see them

Great prices all around wasn’t it? You don’t often see those tier 6 four roses single barrels let alone for that price. Cheers to good whiskey.
A shop near me in New Jersey, has all three standard bottles of Michters for $39.99. 👍
Now that’s a bargain. A great place to start as a beginner.
@@dane5896 That's an awesome brand, I hear they have a cask strength 💪 out now! Michters has it figured out--

That first cosco is the one I go to! Depending on when this was filmed, I may have just missed you lol.
Two weeks ago Thursday. :). It was a great Costco. Do they drop allocation?
@@TheWhiskeyCove i have never seen anything crazy, but you will get some bookers or lil book if you consider that allocated
I wasn’t sure on that blue run too. I’ve seen a few but they were around $100.
I am hoping someone will watch this video and give us more insight. Cheers.
Some good deals but nothing that was a must buy, more of a buy as needed type deal. Cheers
I was thinking that OX K blend. That’s a great price too. I just had to be selective.

Costco in michigan doesn't much of ANYTHING 😖🫣 CHEERS 👍😉🥃
Do they even sell liquor?

what's the difference between the 4 roses single barrels? White vs black label?
Its just a new label coming through
Why is no one there?
I went at the earliest time to make it easier to film without being kicked out. Didn’t want to bother any patrons. Thanks for watching.
Some great values there. I actually would have bought the KC store pick. By me those are $66ish I think.
I maybe would have if this was in Colorado. But as you’ll see in a Kentucky store haul video soon I didn’t have the space lol

Totally get that. The scene has totally changed but I do think it’s starting to return to normality.
