Carlo, Thanks for highlighting this. I've been "Cue dropping" since vinyl and now on digital. I constantly get trolls saying I'm not a "Real" DJ cos I don't always beatmatch. But as you've shown using this technique is perfect for that little extra something to radio edits which is why I pick tracks with vocal intros. Just drop a snippet of the vocal on track playing, in the same key, and the listeners know something is coming. awesome man thank you.
What's funny is that this is what I did when I first started out and couldn't beat match, now I never use it. Time to go back to basics! Thanks for the simple breakdown. I gonna subscribe.
You're fn awesome bro. Thank you so much for making super helpful videos that are concise and quickly get to the point!! I started DJing during Quarantine and the first tutorial I watched was your basic transitions for beginners video and it was so helpful that I keep coming back to your videos so that after I master one technique I can find a new one to master. The only suggestion I could possibly give you would be to do more short videos like this with explicitly named transitions. I love how you offer multiple techniques in videos but sometimes I will struggle to remember what video x technique was in and won't be able to find my way back to it
Very Nice and Simple Technique .........really No One Beat You.....Thanx Bro...Please upload this type of Unique and easy technique videos in future .......
Please do a video on weak hand scratch strengthening techniques! I struggle with my left hand and find myself crossing hands to scratch on the left platter!
Thank you Brother, Your Channel Is Very Professional, Has A Very Smart Profile. You Clearly Demonstrate effectively And Get Straight Into It. Thank you!! Very Much! Keep Up The Great Work Brother!
Have to ask @ 3:16 before the drop you did a slower baby scratch then sped it up and slowed itt back down before the drop.......when you sped it up, is that considered a tear scratch or just a fast baby scratch....would love to learn how to speed the scratch up in between baby scratches
Hey, when you learn to scratch to bring in a track, is there a setting to help the track start immediately after letting go of the jogwheel? Seems like there’s a lag on serato.
Finally! Thanks for that :) Does it better works with no intro tracks? Because the intro tracks would bored the crowd. What do you think? I know that the track should have a beat (quiet no intro tracks wouldn't work) Keep it up!
Hey amigo Carlos ... It good for me to watch your videos .. I'm impressed Wiht you as a simple person donwtoearth.. I like that keep it like that bro you are amazing guy on turntables and controllers.. I always learning something different every time I see your tutorials thanks Carlos for sharing yours skills..👊🎧🙏
Thanks a lot Carlo! Would you explain in another video which kind of songs or acapellas are compatible or what to be aware when preparing a scratching set? Keep on with this great videos Master...
Great Video Carlo! Can you please break down the scratches you use for us? The double fader click ones in the middle are hard to follow, they sound great!
Hi, I just saw you are from Cuba. I am too but living in Canada, i love mixing music and I know that it is hard to get stuff in Cuba. If there is something that you need, let me know and I’ll try to bring it to you. Remember that big stuff is hard to bring in because at the airport they try to rip everyone off. Buena suerte!. I follow Carlo too and he is a great teacher, always posting good and interesting vids.
yh i knew i always had it bro i tryed to do good scratching for ages and was crap , i just done a full session of just scratching to a sick beat ,, was out this world
Great video tutorial as always!! Very simple, and clear thank you so much! I wanted to request a tutorial on crate organization? I can mix songs but want to know how a professional dj organizes their music to easily find songs
It is fine to study everybody else's crate organization methods but ultimately you have to figure out what method works for you. I've watched a bunch of videos on this topic, read many articles on this topic and I have borrowed a few things from all that knowledge but my organization method is not copied directly from any one video or article.
DJ Carlo Atendido thanks Carlo I have recently finished my DJ classes so I was fully nervous while I gave my exam :-( I will practice hard thank you so much for your suggestions :-)
I need to know how to scratch a song on beat. Where u basically scratch on the 3 (of 1-2-3-4 beat) and on your release it plays the 4 instead of the 3 again. Almost like a pull/push of the platter.
I love your video production and editing. Thanks for listing the equipment that you use. What editing software do you use and would you consider doing tutorials on making videos?
Props for focusing on Hip Hop, we need more Rap/Hip Hop based techniques
Facts bro
I agree. I rarely mix edm of any sort. A Latin/regional mexican music series would be amazing as well.
for realll tho Hip Hop/Rap is usually more difficult to mix and majority YT DJs mix edm, techno etc.😭

Up and coming DJ I was already doing this but it’s good to actually see someone show a different way or easier way to mix
You're not only a great DJ, but an excellent tutor as well,,, very impressive, thanks for doing this.
Great job giving scratch tutorials on a mini controller as a turntable scratch champion. Stay unique!
This is a cool technique to introduce a new song and it even works across genres where subtle mix techniques (EQ blend) won't work.
Yay! Thanks for pointing that out!
Thanks Carlo. Been having a hard time just using the cue point, adding the scratching effect really helps. Thanks!
Very nice and finally something unique (not just a beatmatching). Thank You sir. Respect from Lithuania!
Thank you for those tutorials! I don't know what I would do without you ;D

Hi were would be an ideal place to cue and scratch in from as an 8 bar or even 4 bar intro at times could cause the crowd to drop energy.

Do you mind doing a video on how to use the slicer feature correctly please.
DJ Carlo Atendido thanks bro!!
I'm actually going to practice this type of drop mixing.
