Also for new djs, I’d suggest getting record pool intro out to edits. Gives you 16 or 32 bars before a chorus so you have a SUPER EASY time mixing. If you know song structure you can mix anything though.
Well definitely appreciate that I think you're one of many few that actually did a tutorial on mixing hip hop R&B which a lot people just wind up doing like techno and house. I appreciate it and make sure all of y'all hit that notification cuz I know I am..🔥🔥
Great job 👍🏾 My first time to whatch somebody mixing like I do . Being new in that world I have always think that it's was not a good way to mix, now you prove me that I'm very wrong. It's exactly how I mix. I appreciate it bro.
Thank you bro for taking the time to pass along your skills and knowledge to regular folks like myself. This was so refreshing and easy to understand. Much respect to you.
I’m learning how to mix house but being a 90’s gal I wanna learn how to mix rnb and hip hop also. This video is epic! Thank you so much! You explained things so well 🙏🏼
Great video! And you’re right people Simplify mixing RnB and hip hop. It’s so simplistic it’s disgusting and disrespectful. Please continue to make these.
Mixing them at 93-94 each would be a +\- of about three a piece. If they are in key it’s a wayyyyy cleaner mix than boosting one track so much and then slowing it back down. But love the video. Good techniques. You’re right about these being hard genres.
Thanks for the tutorial! This is similar to how I'd mix. I find mixing house, EDM etc harder to mix than hip hop and r&b, but maybe that's because the music I've been around for most of my life 🤔
Hi Dj Blighty. Always great to watch your tutorials as one can learn so much. I have a request though. Could you please do a tutorial on how to use scratches to exit a song. There are many tutorials on how to use scratches to mix into a new song but not out of a song and which scratches or scratch combos would be best. It might be an advanced tutorial lol but im sure you will break it down for us. Thank you and keep up the excellent work.
Hello Dj Blighty. I have been mixing like that too on a laptop only. no controller at all. thanks for highlighting the skills. was that a ducking echo effect?
Hip hop is an inherent feeling, your culture automatically acclimates you. That's why it, along with R&B, developed by people under particular circumstances. Tutorials are weird. It's like hip hop dance classes...dance is organic. Its cultural osmosis.

@@DJBlighty thank you for replying. Would be awesome 👍👍🙂
Very helpfull video thank you for the tips🔥🤝🏽
Happy to help
Thanks for this video, it’s always only tutorials on house and edm and idk why you need a tutorial for that they use the same beats lmaoooo
Thanks . can you make more showing how to mixing hiphop and R&B in a club while keeping energy flowing
In the future for sure
i would break stop "always on time" and drop Blow your mind- better that echo fade
Each to their own
What dos the clean intro version help?
Nice. I just use the dj pool versions with intro/outro built in an keylock so the key doesn't change
They're great 90% of the time but originals make things more interesting plus newer dj's can struggle to find old school intro's

Hey good day DJ I would like to know how the set my cross fader 🎚 and jog wheels to scratch mix like you? Thanks I have the same pioneer 1000srt
Hello Dj Blighty. I have been mixing like that too on a laptop only. no controller at all. thanks for highlighting the skills. was that a ducking echo effect?
Happy to help. No, just a standard echo out man.
You can also go back to the intro from both
Great Video! Can we have workshops with Dj Blighty?
Thanks Afonso. Hope it helps. I'm currently working on a full DJ course, I'll also be looking into interactive one on one sessions in the future.
@@DJBlighty how far are you with the course bro?
what scratch do you use when transit to other songs? chirps + baby scratch?
I just do what feels right naturally to be honest.
Great job bro
Thanks Xander

Showed us what he can do but did he really teach us anything
Pretty sure I explained everything very clearly, sorry if you didn't understand.
