Woodturning - Can Pine Be Pretty ... Again?

- I wanted to make another one of these bowls and since people enjoyed the first video so much it was a perfect fit for the second video of this week. The bowl is much bigger this time round and you can see a size comparison on my Instagram and Tik Tok.
The Pine has been sanded to 3000 grit on the inside and 600 on the outside. I think I made a bit of a mistake on the finish, I should have gone with a wax on the outside to hide a few of the flaws, however I went with my usual Danish Oil.

I know Pine is a soft wood so not ideal for every project, but the beauty of the striations never grows old. Beautiful piece. I would certainly show it of at my house!

Great piece Harry. The bark looks like reptile skin, is very attractive, especially the darker underside when turned and polished.🐊

This video had me nervous as hell when he turned on the lathe with a heavy, out of balance log held in place by four #10 screws
Thats the wonders of editing, if you look at 3:15 & 3:40, you will see all holes have screws. MAGICA!!!!! 🪵😃👍
