- In this video I make a segmented Vase from various species of offcuts. These offcuts are mainly leftover from the chaos series of pieces I made a while back -

A lot of them were too thin to use for much, but were too good to throw away, so I decided to glue them together and take it a step further and create a 'CARNAGE' Vase ..

I'm sure the prep for these types of projects is an absolute bear, but I love seeing all the different colors and woodgrain patterns next to each other!
Me too! 👍 And I love that it reuses offcuts too. The purplish wood is quite surprising- haven't seen that shade of timber before? 😮
Oh Andy, you do love those tedious builds, don't you. The more parts there are to assemble the better !! Almost as good as cobwebs !! It's beautiful.
abt 3-4 days ago I recorded a small spider making her web...I totally agree with your comparison there. slightly tedious but so awesome to watch how it all comes together 😍 beautifully!!
The finished product? Always amazing!!
Some call it a curse
Some call it OCD
I call it art

Similar to sewing quilts guys, just way less time consuming. 🤷♀️
Without speaking, you still manage to convey your personality, wit, and mastery of your craft. Great video, and the vase is stunning!
The sound of the pieces moving in the being was so melodic. I love how the variations in color and types of wood came together to form a cohesive work of art. Beautiful as always.
Thank you
The amount of patience needed for this project is phenomenal.
So refreshing to watch wood turning, using scrap wood, and no epoxy for a change.
What can I say but WOW... stunning... it reminds me of a Gustav Klimt painting... amazing...
All those cuts. I knew it would be pretty good but wow that's gorgeous! Nothing is leftover trash in the hands of a talented maker.
These jewels of yours are so breathtaking. I love this type of project as all the colors are so gripping and the patterns are mesmerizing. Best wishes.
At first, Im thinking, how can he make a vase out of so little wood....that was a miracle in itself! Then the piece itself is another miracle, don't know how you work these things out! AMAZING!! ❤
One of my faves!! 🥰 The stunning interaction of the colours & textures, the reuse of scrap in such a creative way, the engineering expertise going into getting all the shapes right... Even the various optical illusions as the WIP spins!
Love this. The most interesting part of the finished piece to me is how the grain in the cap piece still almost gives the appearance of being faceted, while the chaos pieces hide that. Beautiful piece!
Absolutely stunning! You must have endless patience when it comes to this sort of build, but the outcome is always worth the effort. Just brilliant!
I love pieces like this with the unique pattern. My favorite part is when you apply the clear coat at the end and the colors pop showing all the detail. Even sped up it’s easy to see the amount of time and effort you put into making it. It’s really beautiful!
I would spend hours just looking at this vase. The colours are amazing. It’s so good you were able to use these off cuts. Beautiful as always.
This might be my favorite. I've been saying this for years, and I'll never get tired of saying it: This is your BEST WORK YET! You do you!
Wow it was already looking beautiful at the 7 minute mark.......
👌👍
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I like the pieces made from the woodcuts the best, they are so varied in colour tones etc . . . they are your nicest pieces, to me, I love them. So very beautiful. If you had a house full of these, you could never complain.
Incredible! If you purchase any of these pieces, you get the piece of art AND, the vlog to show family and friends. Love it.
You must lay awake at night or dream of your next piece of artwork. Very clever Andy, and beautiful!
Geez... what a patience! I would freak out just by looking at the pieces. Great job!
The Multi Woods of Madness, for me, works so well because of your use of Purple Heart. I like it!
Makes me think of a patchwork quilt. Beautiful
Waste not, want not. Never throw anything away. Why would you if you can make a beautiful thing like that? Some would see firewood, others, a piece of art that will last decades, well done.
I've watched and thoroughly enjoyed hundreds of turning videos, but for some reason this one hits different. Just something more satisfying for some reason. I think a large part of it is the funny little things put in with no dialog. Thank you and I can't wait to dig into your other work!
I swear Andy. You could take a box a toothpick and figure out something to make and it would be amazing ! Always a pleasure to watch you do your thing sir. Hats off to you !
You get the most amazing results...FROM WASTE!!! And, of course from everything else you touch. Thank you so much for sharing.
That's a stunning piece! Love the optical illusion that some segments almost appear to be turning faster than others...
That's gorgeous, I've seen a lot of wood-turning projects on YT, many of them showy, most of them turn out ugly but this is something else, it's really, really beautiful. Congratulations on a lovely piece of work.
Where some see trash, you see treasure. Another beautiful piece. Keep turning.
I genuinely appreciate the editing. We got to see a detailed explanation of how you built this in a very concise way. Love the content!
OMG!!! The patience you had to have, and the TIME it must have taken to create this beautiful piece is more than I could possibly imagine ever having either of to do!!! ...not to mention the talent that you have to have to make this turn out as beautiful as it is. Great Job!!! ...though, IF I were you and able to do what you did, I would have to charge thousands of dollars for such an investment of time and patience alone. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
The creativity blows my mind...the wood magician!
Just another first rate piece of work by Andy Phillip!
Soooo much gluing. It sure takes a lot of talent to make sure the bonds are good with that many small bits. Well done.
The grains for the various wood makes for quite an interesting and standout look Any
Take care my friend and enjoy thee trekking
Cheers
Harold
Interesting, most see the beauty and they are correct it is stunning. As a wood turner myself I see other things, like , in this piece, no fear of miss alignment! (No staggered pattern). It's a true chaotic pattern. ! Im going to have to try it! Thanks much
Andy, ваше творчество приносит людям радость, эстетическое наслаждение, и в обычной жизни появляется какая-то изюминка, чем вы занимаетесь это круто.
Gorgeous Andy, I always like to see people making maximum use of off cuts.
You’ve been doing maths again, haven’t you…
Another beautiful piece from humble beginnings.
Love the stabilising rig too!
Oh wow what a beautiful job. So much time into this. Thank you for sharing
Andy, really nice you had us going while you were cutting the pieces. If we didn’t know better your saw was moving and you were standing still. Great action shots. You are an inspiration for us. Keep safe thanks
5:24 I haven't seen anything that satisfying in years...
Mama Mia what a gorgeous piece of art you have created! Awesome work!
I marvel watching you do projects like this! I know it takes a lot of time to prepare but seeing your creative genius and perfectionism throughout the video is sheer joy! Making sure that the inside of the vase is as beautiful as the outside! An absolutely beautiful and extraordinary work of art Andy!!
My first time ever watching a wood crafting video. Awesome! This was truly unique and beautiful 🤩
Thank you so much
Beautiful! Those ‘scrap’ pieces are amazing! The one looked like a leopard’s 🐆 coat. The way you arranged the different wood keeps your eyes moving across the vase. Love it!
Amazing, very beautiful creation ❤️👍👏
Stupendo. You are always the best.

You brought harmony to the chaos. It all fits together (literally). Beautiful again!

Collage instead of carnage! Just beautiful!
Idea, realisation with a lot of knowledge: Phantastic result.
That is absolutely gorgeous! I love the intricacy of the patterns in the wood.
Very nice. From scraps to treasure as we say. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. It's a beautiful wooden patchwork quilt. Good job, Andy!
Just like quilting, you can make beautiful things from scraps!
Another magnificent display of craftsmanship Mr Phillip! I want to be like you when I grow up. My wife is taking bets, that at 64, I’m never going to grow up. I’d say she’s correct as usual!
🤣
What the hell do you want to grow up for? Boring...
Hi Andy...
That is just stunning.. well done...
Take care...All the best.....Andy
What a beautiful piece of art Andy! Gorgeous!
Just stunning. I love your brain.
If the walls were a little thinner and a nice sealer applied, I'm thinking I could almost enjoy a cool 🍺 in this, while I celebrated the master craftsman.
Beautiful piece.
What a GORGEOUS work of art....you have some serious skills ~ Great job !!
This piece, is not my particular brand of vodka, but I can still appreciate your skill and effort in all of your wonderful work.
Your talent is overwhelming!

Incredible patience, incredible result 🙂
Absolutely wonderful craftsmanship. Beautiful Andy. Just beautiful.
Holy effer buckets. Was about to try and figure out how to tag you in a comment but then realized it was YOUR VIDEO I was watching, so, um; great effing vid.
What a fascinating watch...
All that glueing, twisting and cutting took such effort and showed amazing attention to detail. I can usually see more or less where you are going with your pieces but each step of that surprised me today.
How you made sure that every angle was identical was so interesting...👍
Thank you
Идея, терпение и труд - результат-👍👍👍👏👏👏
Craftsmanship at its finest. The pattern, the colors and the texture GORGEOUS.
Outstanding! Wish I could afford something as beautiful!
So much work! Amazing and beautiful!

Definition of patience !
Beautiful work, again 👍🏻👏🏻😀
Only half way thru the video and already loving this piece being created!
I love how it looks like the different bands are moving at different speeds even though they're all part of the same piece!
Beautiful Vase with full video
