- Here I turn a Burl from a Horse Chestnut tree into a natural edge Vase .. I cleaned out some punky areas and filled with epoxy resin coloured with antique silver mica powder and finished it with Osmo Oil ..

Andy, I can watch your wood-turning all day ,which is even better when you use resins !! Keep them coming!!
Thanks 👍
The beauty of UA-cam is finding new channels like this. Being an it guy it is just wonderful to see someone making something truly beautiful with his hands.
Sometimes you turn something very special........a keeper.....this is one of those times.🇨🇦
"Hey guys, what's up? So today we're gonna go right ahead and ...."
Your videos are always great to watch
Not gonna lie I’m incredibly anxious that thing is gonna fly off until it reaches a certain point. It is beautiful.
The thing i appreciate the most about watching long videos is when the woodworker takes the time to show the finished product from multiple angles, so thank you for doing just that.....
It's amazing how just a small amount of resin can bring out the beauty in a finished piece
Burl has fantastic grain patterns!
When I'm stressed about something, I watch one of your videos and everything is zen after that ;)
Oh my god... this is my favourite by far. It is simply perfect. I really love everything about this vase: the proportions, the colour of the wood, its grain, the finished surface... adding flowers to this Vase would definitely decrease its pure beauty!
Wow! Andy u have heaven In Ur room! My brother turns wood on his lathe and would love to turn some burls. I told him to watch u...u are by far my favorite wood turner! I just can’t believe the work you do?! Thank u for everything sir. Bless u! Oh my wife is watching too and loves ur work! Beautiful sir...
Thanks Mike
Absolutely gorgeous work! This turned out to be a masterpiece; the live edges burnt brought this piece of art up a few notches. The beautiful blue resin placed in some of the deepest cracks and holes was a stunning move on your part! Great job!!
Thank you
Very handsome piece. Well done Andy!
Just lovely. I watch at least one of your work videos every day!
When the camera is sped up, the burl looks like it rotates in the opposite direction. Kinda kewl!
I love the optical illusion of the tool when you are working on a section with a large chunk or wood missing. It's fascinating. And the darker blue color against this wood is very nice. 💙
I love to sit quietly and watch you produce a beautiful piece of art, from a block of wood! Once again, a wonderful piece! 😍
Thanks Julie
Who ever would have thought that beautiful piece was hiding in a piece of fire wood. Thank you Andy.👍👍👍👍👍😎
This is the hobby I never knew I wanted, it looks like fun. The vase is beautiful!
I am mesmerized watching you turn one of these chunks of wood into something beautiful.
You are a joy to watch!
Mother nature at her best! Nicely left Andy👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Well, 2020 is the year I get into wood spinning.. I have spent so much time watching these, I need to do it myself!
I guess I'll be joining the team !!! I'm a house wife .. Ive never seen a female doing any woodwork .
Women do “wood” work all the time.
@@davidhakadoober._1- , really ?? I think I just found my new hobby !!
No more crochet for me ..
I am a carpenter and I have been for 37 years, you are one talented and creative guy.
Thanks Marc
GORGEOUS!
The grain really pops on this one!! Beautiful !👍👍
I love watching wood turning videos, but surprisingly I rarely see them stamp their mark on there work. Your stamp is a nice touch!
One word....Awesome ! Love the fact that you left the rim to add a phenomenal look & did that little bit of flaming.
This vase looks like Groot, and I love it 💕
A great Artist at his work
I absolutely love the natural edge you left on and the color of the wood grain. The blue you added didn’t pop as much as I expected until it hit the light but it almost makes it like a hidden treasure to the piece. Beautiful as always 😁
thanks ..It was antique silver , so much going on in this piece I didn't want the colour to take over ..
Andy Phillip it was the perfect accent with just the small hints of color around the piece. It’s so beautiful!
*nice profile pic* 👍
The amazing thing is that you can see a beautiful vase when looking at a “lump” of wood. Great job.
Amazing skills and always a gorgeous piece completed! 👏 Andy
Been missing your videos. Gorgeous, Andy!
Thanks Shawna
It was really cool when you started working the inside of the vase at 5:35. The top of the vase was transparent. It looked as if you were cutting invisible wood!!
1:20 I absolutely love that sound of the chipping away when it’s not sped up
I really enjoy watching these videos! I watch with my son and we are both getting into this now!!
amazing work Andy, and the grain in that wood is beautiful
Great skills again, lovely piece of sculpture.
Cheers Brian
You rocked that one stunning
Beautiful vase, Andy. The grain, spalting, filler, natural edge and burning all came together perfectly.
Thanks William
The vase is very very beautiful. I love it.
i just love watching your works...
it really is a work of art😁😁😁
What a beautiful vase...love the burl!
YES, another one where the blast screen is required! 🤩😁 Beautiful work Andy! 👍👍👍
Thanks LOL
It's wonderful. It feels like an inner transformation. A gentle but firm chipping away of whats not needed in Ones life. Only magnified, raw beauty is left behind. A suggestion: Instead of still frames, it would be awesome if you built a small turn style display to rotate the finished pieces in the videos.
You do some amazing work. God bless you and your family.
Awesome as always.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I'm crafty, and I'm made some nice stuff, but you are artist. Everything you make just blows my mind
BROTHER THAT IS AWESOME!!

The tree lives forever in beauty.
Beautiful as always!!
Nice one Andy 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love how you kept the natural edge on the top of the vase. Wonderful job!
I am always so impressed with the work you turn out. It is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Stephen
Another beauty Andy, Good morning
😊☕. The optical illusions whilst this was turning were great!
What planet are you from, no mere mortal could have that level of skill.
Love the natural form. It is a tribute to nature and the way the wood evolved over time. To be able to see this beauty in that chunk of wood is truly a gift.
Gorgeous Andy, simply gorgeous!
It looks like that wood burning technique that starts with and L. It is so pretty. I love burls.
Oonagh72 you mean *litchenberg*
Another masterpiece Andy ..extraordinary!
Excellent turning!
You, sir, are an artist!
Love the spalting lines on this one. Looks like an antique map.
The beginning where you made a spot for the live center with the forstner bit was genius. I've been trying to figure out a way of doing that with my lathe that has a simple tail stock, no taper just dead center.
That’s a fine looking piece Andy, I really like the richness the Osmo Oil adds to the wood.
Thanks for sharing,
Geof
Thanks Geof .. I really like the Osmo I'm using it a lot at the moment ..cheers
Your work is amazing. I wish I had your talent. Very beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another masterfully done work of art! Gorgeous stuff, Sir! One other thing that I love, and I can’t express this enough, is that you keep your shop and equipment immaculate. I’m a diehard about that myself and it makes our projects so much easier and enjoyable to create. Great stuff!
