The big thing that I took from this was that HE DIDN'T PULL AWAY. He was shocked, but he wanted it. He's like a little kid getting his first kiss from the pretty girl on the playground. He doesn't quite know what to do, but he liked it.
I watched this scene over and over last night. I love how he walks toward her with his arms open so confident but then doesn't know what to do with them once she kisses him. I can't wait until the next kiss!!
Even though Doctor isn't in love with River yet, he's soooo fancies her!!!! I can't wait till they meet in the middle and they both equally love eachother!
I feel bad for both of them in this clip. The Doctor knows he's missing something big, but he can't remember it if it hasn't happened yet, so he's not feeling the same way as River and it obviously makes him sad. Darn you Steven Moffat, wasn't Donna and Lee bad enough for that episode? Now the "Library" episodes become even more epically tragic.
I still miss Rose...and this is...interesting. We shall see............but this is the first time I've actually thought Matt was really cute :) 10 is my Doctor though!
I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS. The Eleven/River chemistry is fabulous and I'm so happy to see this happen. The Doctor needs someone incredibly amazing for it to be believable, and River definitely is amazing enough. But noo, for River this is a goodbye in a way. CUE SOBBING. (On a brighter note: if River didn't realise this was to be their first/last kiss, then that must mean that the next time they meet, there'll be lots more snogging and it should feel relatively normal, am I right??)
aww this scene is kind of heart breaking, the way River knows that thats the last kiss she'll ever have with him, knowing that the days coming where he wont recognise her :') Always kind of hated the Doctor/River relationship but this makes me feel really sorry for her :D
I looved this scene but i was so sad for River ! Do you think will get more scene like this in the future ? Next episode or Series ? I love the way they flirt And Matt & Alex have an incredible chemistry
But but but that can't be the last kiss for her because The Doctor takes her on a trip before the library when he gives her his screwdriver. Surely he would've kissed her then! :s Anywaaaay I love how awkward Eleven is. :3
She doesn't know that yet. And usually one would assume that, since she ages as she meets him and he becomes younger and younger, his first times are her last. Luckily for us, it's wasn't the end.

This made me cry :'( I feel so sorry for River
The fact that this is the way their last kiss will be like makes it even MORE sad... :(
Favorite Doctor/River moment.
All i can say is - FINALLY! Sweet and sad all at once. :)
I adore just how awkward the Doctor is during this...he can talk the talk, but he clearly can't walk the walk...

Although they were flirty throughout he asked in the beginning who she was so I'm not sure why she thought they were at the kissing stage yet.
It like the Doctor didn't know what to do with his hands, during their kiss. He was like "EHHHH!!" But he loved it 😆
It makes me so sad. Why do I keep watching it?!?! (Because I love it to death...)
Aww... I am starting to like River a lot. I feel for her though... it's the last time he'll ever kiss her.
It made me go watch the first one with her.
