Alex Kingston played the hell out of this role! She took what could have been a small part and made sure that you never forgot the character. She was strong, powerful, sexy, and every bit challenging to the Doctor. She was his equal. Alex channeled the pain, energy, and passion that I don't think anyone could have done.
What a great video of the most iconic couple in Dr Who! Love them both. Their first meeting, the progress, their adventures, then the parting. Matt Smith was just superb as the adorable bumbling Doctor and Alex the enigmatic River Song! Sigh!!! 💕🥰❤️
I just wish we could've seen more of her and the Twelfth Doctor, they had great chemistry.:) But of course, her and Matt Smith's Doctor will always be top-tier coupledom

Ah, River. She reminds me a bit of Romana (scientist, Time Lady, equal and lover of The Doctor), but with an extra-large dollop of pure, violent crazy added. I'm sure the wedding night was awesome, but you probably couldn't call the relationship healthy.

Very good, solid video/song combo. Much better than most fan-vids. My only real critique: I would have included (near the end) scenes of River and 10, as that really would have sent an appropriately bittersweet note to the whole thing... but otherwise, a top-notch effort...

It's from The Wedding of River Song. When River didnt kill the Doctor, she created a time paradox where all of time-the past, present and future existed at once. They all wore eye patches so they would remember the Silence which were kept prisoner at Area 52.
River almost wipes out time by causing a paradoxical collapse that tops bringing Brooke to Earth in way that was far more awesome than what Rassilon almost did. The title: The Wedding of River Song You need to be uptodate on that one with the new series almost here.
There is a small part of me that wants River and the Doctor's time line problem to work out, but I know it won't because a) we've seen River die, and then the problem wasn't gone then, and b) it's Doctor who, so it won't happen.
Okay, not only do we (the viewers) hafta keep up with time travel=the order of events happening, and not only do we have to maintain a framework of who is where in what version of the "current" time, NOW we have to keep track of two SEPERATE and conflicting versions of the same events from two different character's timelines??? Remind me to someday...one of me, on a future someday in that me's timeline..to send hate mail to Mr. Moffat, would you?
I would like to know if the timing between the music and video at 3:38-39 was intentional or just played out that way? the pause beat matches the video almost exactly.
I was thinking....don't know why but it looked like something different.....I don't remember him shivering like that with river.....is that before or after he falls down the stairs?
Actually, that time index cues with a scene from "The Impossible Astronaut", from the beginning of Season 6; the scene from "The Big Bang" ends the second before, at 4:02. Just saying... ;)
