I know this is a Rottie channel, but I don't currently have a Rottie, have had them in the past. My wife Kathie and I currently have a 75lbs rescued Pit Bull, Cookie. In the time we have had Cookie (about a year now) Kathie, my wife has undergone cancer removal surgery and 1 of 2 surgeries to repair a decades old foot injury. Cookie will NOT LEAVE Kathie's side. It's comforting to know we have such a wonderful and loyal Dog in our home.
The one wearing the white color, I think it is Akita..knew it was you from the get go..she was wagging the tail the entire time . 😂 Lol

Back in the 90s, I had a rott named Zack. He was 165lbs of cuddly love and drool. I lived in Hollywood Hills at the time and our front door was mere feet from the road. Most of Hollywood Hills are very cramped and tight streets. Zack could tell the difference between vehicles that were normal to the neighborhood and vehicles that were lost or sightseeing. He would bark (one very loud bark!) at the door at certain vehicles driving by. At first we couldn't understand what he was doing or why. Just seemed like random barking. But one day I was home from work and decided to figure out why he barks so randomly. I stood in the kitchen (the window faced the street) and waited and waited. A car went by that I recognized as living down the road from us. Zack just stood at the door silently. Then a car full of people went by and Zack did his single alarm bark. About an hour later a tour company van went by and, again, Zack's warning bark went off. My girlfriend and I had normal day jobs, but we also had a band. We played all the Sunset Strip clubs but The Whisky was our home away from home, and Zack was right there on the stage just chillin. Everybody loved that dog. He had more fans than the band did. He lived a rockstar life. Years later he passed away in his sleep. He was 14 years old.

aaaaah.... I had a good laugh - that's the same the kinda thing I would have tried. We both knew you were taking a chance when you dressed up in some funny outfit (well to them anyway) and came into their yard. lol. I'm glad you were brave and ready to expect one or two 'unsure' bites.

I've tried that kind f experiment with my 5 year old female Rottie. She knew it was me the first time I made a sound (probably before that even, from scent). But yeah, if I toss on long baggy clothes and get her fired up, I'll get bit a little. She thinks cloth armor is a thing, lol.

@@barb2214 I know, I think I am going to order some bite protection and start doing some more 1 on 1 trainings with June, the others I’m comfortable with, June is still not ready for those trainings I think he would bite under a loaded training like that without following the lead of the others.

They showed the huge advantage dogs give for perimeter security. I don't know if they would bite someone (don't want to know) but it doesn't really matter. Most people see 4 large Rotties barking at them and that's all they need to see. The big thing is they will know someone or something is near long before you do. Especially at night.

If the dogs already know you they will immediately recognise your smell and your voice. Notice how they immediately sniff you. Then they will be happy or back off knowing it's you.

Our dogs are trained to protect against strangers, and that’s exactly what they did.
I couldn’t get the mask and hair off fast enough and I needed up getting bit twice and almost 3 times!

I came across this video while channel surfing 🏄♀️, I love Rottweiler, my family used to own one until someone poisoned 🤢 him , his name was Tard . He was huge stood about 5”2 say about a 160 lbs, muscle but gentle. My mother would feed him whole chicken with carrots celery brown rice cooked and he would drink orange juice, milk, cornflakes, water, chuck beef 🥩 along with the vitamins inside the food. My sister and I once mistakenly ate his food , my mother screamed at us saying where eating her dog food , oh well Tard it was good sorry. I used to feed mine beef heart and brown rice as a supliment mixed in with her regular food once a week. Of course also exercised and trained her constantly. that's how Raven reached 100lbs, was sleek and muscular and only 23" at the shoulder.
