Would you go touring on the #TriumphScrambler400X? And would you buy it over the #RoyalEnfieldHimalayan450? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
I really wanted the Himalayan 450, it took me two test rides to convince myself that it's not gonna work. Too buzzy after 4.5k rpm.. which is a problem on days you want to cover big distances
@@BikeWaleOfficial Okay.. Triumph had recalled all the Scramblers for brake lever replacement. Post this, there is a noticeable improvement in the braking performance..
Great video overall! For daily commuting, between the 400X & the Interceptor, which one do you think is better set out of the factory? Stay strong, ride on!
I am about to buy a scrambler 400x in a couple of months. Can you you suggest some better tyre options which can perform well in rainy conditions on tarmac in the city.
In the end of the video you just said that, You are going to upload a Detail Comparison video of [Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 VS Triumph Scrambler 400X ] , my suggestion to you is , [( Will you add 1 one more Adventure bike in it THE KTM 390 ADV X ?? )] Meaning - ((Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Vs Triumph Scrambler 400X Vs KTM 390 ADV X)).
"I am also confused between these 2 motorcycles. I had test-ridden the Himalayan 450, and here are my thoughts about that bike: The Himalayan is heavy on one side, making it really hard to lift off the side stand. In city use, I don't think the Himalayan will suit well; it's really heavy and big, making cutting through traffic a difficult task. However, if a person does more touring and a little bit of city riding, then the Himalayan will be a good option. But I haven't test-ridden the 400X yet. Is it really suitable for commuting and touring? The major difference I see here is the TFT display, but the mapping won't work if your phone is in sleep mode. Then why do I have to use the GPS on the display? I can use it on my phone. But still, I am in big confusion, and I am waiting for your comparison. Then I need to do the test ride again to confirm it. I also have another option in my head, the Duke 250. Will it be a good option? Because it looks really sporty, and surprisingly, the wind blast is really low at 100kmph. Maybe it's because of that design. I don't know, but the linear power delivery makes this bike good for touring as well as city commuting."
To be very frank I own himalayan 450. Strangely i like it too much in the city. I dint feel any weight while riding. BTW i am 6 ft tall and lifting it from side stand is also not a problem for me. For shorter people it might be a challenge.
I too felt great while driving himalayan. Test drove it 3 times to confirm in slightly traffic conditions at chennai, once with pillion too. Didn't tested sceam400x though. I just zeroed on Himmy and ordered on dec 31. Expected delivery by April end.
Himalayan by virtue of its weight is more suited for the taller we'll built folks. You can get used to it obviously but you can't hide away from the weight. Then there's the buzziness at cruising speeds. The scrambler and d250 are actually surprisingly matched. The scrambler offers a more commanding riding position and looks substantial. The Duke on the other hand is surprisingly peppy and calm. I also think it cruises better at 110 120 of all the other bikes. The other 2 will go faster with the Himalayan being the fastest, but I feel for touring in terms of cruising it's Duke>scrambler>Himalayan. Himalayan is the suspension king. Scrambler has slightly supple suspension then Duke, but the travel is the same. Same story with gc
Hi. I own an Interceptor 650 but there are major wobbling issues that Royal Enfield are not able to resolve it. So I’m planning to sell it and get a bike that’s good for city commute and occasional tours. You have posted a review for the new Yezdi Adventure. Will that be a good option compared to the Scrambler? Give me your suggestions
You want to compare in what sense?? Low end torque- 400x wins. High End Torque- Duke Wins. Overall performance- 400x wins. Speed and Handling- Duke wins. Comfort- 400x wins. Fun: Duke wins. Mileage and Price: 400x wins. Looks and Power: Duke wins
Triumph should offer a colour option without those awful yellow fork legs, they don't match the retro style of the motorcycle at all. And perhaps they should ask Royal Enfield how to make a center stand, chain drive and no center stand is a lousy combination.

Great work! This is what I expect from a motorbike test - nice shooting, short but on-topic comments and separated by surface/usage 👍
After 1st service, bike feels really smooth.
That's very reassuring to hear.
I really like when person in proper gears and gloves and jacket while giving reviews, thats first sign of bike expert and enthusiasts 😊

Have you ridden the Scrambler for which the front break lever was not replaced? After replacement, the break is very sharp with good bite.
We don't think it was changed. We had the stock bike for testing.

As an Interceptor owner, I would prefer the Scrambler for daily city commute.....
6.18. If it sagged with luggage...then touring with a pillion is not possible?
It is possible. You will have to increase the preload by a couple of notches depending on the weight.
What were the speeds maintained on the highway during the fuel efficiency test?
90-100kmph

Also compare it with Yezdi Scrambler.
There is no comparison between these.
Makes no sense, 400x is just a lot better in almost each and very way.
400x is way ahead in higher league compared to yezdi scrambler

What about vibration and Heatting issue❓

How did you manage to ride a bike with TC number? If at all it is possible, then it's wrong
It is a company-registered bike, with one-year validity for the registration.
How do the bike and tires handle slushy, muddy terrain
Can someone share the gear/speed range on which we change the gear ... As being a rookie it will help me understand the bike better
Ride it yourself and you'll feel it out

Thank you for a great video, a question that comes to me, how bright were headlights, does it need a auxiliary ones or normal lights are good?
Headlights are not sufficient & most definitely need Aux lights..
The headlamp performance is just about average for touring. Aux lights are recommended for touring.
All right, thanks for informing, much appreciated
