Carrie Fisher was brilliant in this, and easily the best thing about this movie.
Only if she had more screen time.
I love sorority row. It is one of my favorite slasher remake. It is such a good movie
I never knew this was a remake, one of the better ones I'll say. Also the movie is a good with the ending, it isn't downbeat. But the problem is half the ending shot with the scar at the end panning to it, I liked the ending scene with the girls walking out badass from the burning house with the firefighters pulling up and it fades to black with a cool song, that to me is how it should have ended. Also the final reveal was kinda eh for me, I mean I didn't mind it being the boyfriend but I was more interested with the Magen girl coming back for revenge. Granted they would have needed to explain that alot but I don't care, I rathered it have been the "dead Girl" coming back for revenge or the sister working with the older sister instead. But yeah overall I gotta say I really liked the movie.
Great movie. Comedy/horror. I cracked up every time Ellie screamed. The one liners were great.
This one is just a fun ride.
Funny thing is Leah Pipes who portrays “Jessica” originally read for the role of “Ellie” and after two auditions and added style landed the Jessica role
Love the review I forgot the killer was the main actor from cry wolf which was another movie I loved when I saw it.
The wine bottle would probably be my favorite kill in the film and I thought the costume that the killer used was good in some scenes when he's in the dark, and I do agree about this being a guilty pleasure overall good review 👍
I did enjoy this movie, and I liked the killer’s motive. When the girl from the Hills got killed at the beginning, and everyone promised to keep their mouths shut, the final girl was the only one who did. All the other girls involved blabbed. So not only were the sorority sisters being killed, everyone they blabbed their secret to was also being killed.
Edit: I was gonna make another comment but then I remembered that UA-cam has an edit option. Well anyways, when you were talking about the prank at the beginning, I wanted to say that the prank was actually supposed to be on Audrina’s character’s boyfriend because she found out he was cheating on her.
"It's a slasher. Don't take it too seriously." Exactly, Lee. I love this movie and I'm glad you enjoyed it as well. It's just a fun slasher. Love the characters, creative kill scenes, and a surprising killer reveal. Always thought this movie was underrated.
I had a blast with Sorority Row. Proud fan of this one. It's a fun, self-aware slasher. Great characters, cool death scenes and I want that modified tire iron! Awesome unique weapon. Great review, Lee. As always! :)
Seeing Carrie Fisher going toe to toe with a serial killer was awesome. Also, Carrie Fisher is not the only Star Wars actor in this movie. Matt Lanter, who plays the bitch’s boyfriend, the one you thought was the killer, was the voice of Anakin Skywalker in The Clone Wars cartoon.

I believe Claire was shot in the mouth with a flare gun. I think she was intending to use it as a weapon, until the killer got a hold of it.
Just watched this for the first time a few weeks ago. Fun movie. LOVED that Carrie Fisher was in it and I agree Rumor Willis drove me crazy in this. A one time view for me

this is a late reply...like two years late lmaoo but this movie is one of my favorite slashers that isn’t from a franchise (for example: halloween, friday the 13th) i literally love the dark humor and the feel of the movie. definitely a good movie

I remember watching this movie quite a few years ago so I was pretty young and my mom had picked up a rental of it. The damn champagne bottle kill blew my mind and scared me so bad we had to stop the movie and go for a walk, I can't even remember if we finished it once we got back or not, I remember hardly anything outside of that kill. So thanks for reminding me, both of a trauma and of the fact I need to check this movie out again lol

Just watched this, and I thought they did a good job making the killer's identity hard to guess, but afterwards I couldn't help but wonder, why, if his motive was to keep the crime from being revealed, would he exhume Megan's corpse and hang it in the shower? I didn't realize that the sister was the girl from The Wonder Years. Now I feel kind of dirty….

The Kills in this movie were very good. Those girls had some of the most brutal deaths.

I liked this movie too, and it's funny because earlier when I was watching your horror kills, I wanted you to mention Chug's kill in this movie, because I think that was the best kill. This movie had great kills.
I agree with you about the girl who kept freaking out. That was very annoying, but I suppose in a movie like this, there's always that one annoying character who is the weakest one, and you just want her to hurry up and get killed because she's that annoying. She did good, but there was no reason to have her freaking out and crying that much.

Just watched this movie and it was a FUN ride. Was pissed Jessica didnt make it to the end as a final girl, she was by far the most captivating one, I kept laughing at her comments
This is a great remake ! The secret in this movie is way more plausible to happen . I really enjoy the kills . The final girl , Cassidy is awesome . I did not expect the killer reveal . I remember there was a scene in which Carrie Fisher hits Jessica (the bitch) with Jessica saying she is not the killer, and I remember laughing so hard when Carrie Fisher said she waited a long time to do that . I like this movie more than the original

For the first hour of the movie, I was LOVING it! I loved the actors and even the characters. Briana was excellent and made for one of the better modern final girls. The Rumer Willis character was annoying. For me, the final act didn't work. After the first hour, the final act just didn't meet my expectations.
And this is a personal issue with me, but slasher films with no chase scenes annoy me. I love a good chase.

The ending would have been better if they killed off Ellie . Worst character ! She just cried through the entire film . Rumor Willis can not act !
I loved this movie and it is fun to watch if you have some friends over on a summer night. my favorite characters were Cassidy and Jessica because they are both badass and Jessica plays the perfect bitch.
Another thing that bothered me with this movie was the kills; the kills were the similar except for Carrie Fishers. There were more cons than pros for me with this film. I wanted to like it, but I just didn’t.👎😖

I actually liked this, it wasn’t amazing or anything but I thought it was fun. Some good kills plenty of gore. I agree it’s a guilty pleasure for sure.

Saw this movie in a hotel once, from what I remember it was good, thanks for the spoiler no sarcasm I forgot who the killer was, never realized how similar the movie is to I Know What You Did Last Summer, which did it better IKWYDLS or Urban Legend

When I first heard the title “Sorority Row” in 2009’, it brought to mind that the context was sorority girls on death row for an immoral act they committed. Then they will be sentenced to death. Before, Sorority Row just sounded like a street or a row of houses, which made no sense, given the house was the only one for miles.
This was not a bad remake. Kills were pretty good and that one girl was like asshole female version of trent from friday remake but issue what i have is reveal of the killer...to me it was poorly executed. In this version it shoulve been house mother. Something like this megan was her daughter but no one knew the truth not even megan herself and kinda reverse the plot from the original. This killer reveal was not good at all. He was like regular extremely religious nut case which did not work for me.

I fell in love with this movie on my first view years ago and instantly purchased it. It has some issues as you pointed out, but it is a lot of fun. I love the Jessica character and all her bitchy dialogue. The kills are great! They come fast and furious and LOUD! They must have turned up the volume real high on these sound effects. Hardly a classic, but sometimes a movie that has fun with itself is just as good as a classic. Another great review! By the way, YES, the remake of Prom Night is pure trash!

i like the acting leah pipes was a bad ass sharon stone! well almost and the end inferno was cool, along with the tire iron but this movie could have been better even the very ending needed more help, i like this more than house on. a 6.
Great review rumor Willis should not have been in this film I’m sorry but she’s not a pretty woman and can’t act and I know that’s harsh but give the role to someone who isn’t already set for life and I should retract the thing I said about her looks that’s shallow but if the killer had just been a friend or family of Megan’s than I would agree with his mind set completely plus I like the actor and the movie cry wolf so I could be a little bias.
This was the cheesiest movie I couldn’t stop watching. Lol. 😂

I love your channel and everything Lee but I just watched this movie and it is god awful, you couldn’t be more off the mark with this one.
It's not a "good" movie by any means, but I have a good time with it.
