You made me look up what horror movies came out in 1981 and holy shit, 1981 is truly the best year for horror. We got movies like The Evil Dead, An America Were-Wolf in London, The Howling, Friday the 13th Part 2, Halloween 2, My Bloody Valintime, Happy Birthday to Me, Hell Night, The Funhouse, The Burning, The Prowler, Madman, Hospital Massacre, Madhouse, and even more.

This movie is awesome. I discovered it a couple years ago after arrow announced the new blu ray release. Great purchase. Loved the scene where the crazy uncle asks the landlady to help carry in the package, and she says it feels like a body is in there. Then, it was 😀.
I rewatched a lesser known 80's slasher recently called Eyes Of A Stranger (1981). That is about a woman living with her blind sister, and, she suspects her neighbor is the serial killer that is terrorizing the Miami area. A very young Jennifer Jason Leigh co stars in this movie. Tom Savini does the makeup effects. That's all I'll say without spoiling. I'd recommend this movie, if you haven't already seen it.
Awesome video, as always. Thank you 😎😎😎😎😎

When I started my interview podcast in 2015 Zoe became my first of several tribute subjects. Her widow Robert Lund has been on my show 4 times in tribute to Zoe Tamerlis Lund. His accounts are fascinating and allowed her to be part of my show.

Neon X We're partly desensitized today, but it's also because what filmmakers and audiences consider scary has changed. Most movie watchers nowadays don't seem to want to feel mounting dread or discomfort or terror. Nowadays the order of the day is entertainment with some jump scares and scary elements but overall they want FUN escapism. Most want humor in their horror plus stuff that doesn't require much thought. So we're left with 90 minute jump-scare gore fests that evoke laughter.

Watch "beyond the door" 1975, by the same director, it's even creepier/weirder.
Gave me nightmares as an 6 year old, tv trailers would come out during Saturday morning cartoons.

Roger Gonzalez OMG I didn’t it was the same direction BTD was my first horror memory. Didn’t realize even the name of the film until recently when I happened to see an image from the film that was the exact image I saw as a child. Crazy!

Man I hope Ovidio got that taken care of. Assonitis can’t be a good thing. I liked the movie especially that big dog. The director also made Beyond the Door which is hands down the stupidest but funniest Exorcist/ Rosemary’s Baby rip-offs ever made.

Was that rottweiler supposed to be a hellhound or something? Normal rottweilers have a lifespan of 8-10 years, yet this one was Mary's pet when she was a little girl, and still alive and energetic enough to kill a grown man when she was 25 years old?
