Very cool! I used to make one blending a peeled potato, corn starch, flour, salt and whatever spices that went with the dish. Put it n a squeeze bottle. Then create a round design on a flat top grill or non stick pan till seared. Lift, then transfer to an oil fryer and press it down with a strainer to shape it till it is crispy. Then salt it. A good container for a fresh salad with some fresh fish and a sauce drizzled on the top!
@@HomeChefSeattle unfortunately just now i try 2 times and I can't do it. I do exactly what you say but when I put inside In the pan but the mixture caught the whole surface like a big crepe 🤷♂️ I will try again next time
Bonjour de France. Merci beaucoup pour ces belles idées et vidéos très intéressantes. Peut-on ajouter un peu de sucre dans la préparation ou cela brûlera t'il (pour décorer un dessert) ? Merci et belle semaine ☺
You should be able to add a little bit of sugar dissolved in the liquid. Too much sugar can caramelized and burn when frying. You can also try sprinkling a little sugar over the tuiles right when they come out of the pan.
I always prefer to make them fresh or the same day. They can possibly be made 1-2 days in advance and kept in an airtight container, away from humidity or with some silica gel packets.
For almond tuiles I prefer using a regular tuile recipe with egg whites, butter, sugar and flour + almonds. I assume you could try this method with the addition of a little almond extract.

Who loves cooking but not cooking lol and come to enjoy this
Ohh is very beautiful this Can I use sesame oil? Cause I don't have some other vegetable oil
Sesame oil can be used but since it isn’t a neutral tasting oil, the tuiles will have the sesame oil taste.
@@HomeChefSeattle Do you think olive oil is better? For taste I mean
@@tasossunsun9528 I would say so, just control the temperature since olive oil has a lower smoke point.
@@HomeChefSeattle unfortunately just now i try 2 times and I can't do it. I do exactly what you say but when I put inside In the pan but the mixture caught the whole surface like a big crepe 🤷♂️ I will try again next time

👍👍 qualquer dúvida só perguntar.
How long they can last? Can I make them for next day?
Awesome, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
wow 🤔 how could you think of something so easy yet very artistic? great idea!
the cleaning will be annoying tho 😂
Not my creation but something used by many chefs as a garnish. 😂 yes cleaning is not fun because it does splatter quite a bit. 👍
Amazing video but do you put oil in the pan first or just non stick?
No oil in the pan, just the oil in the mixture 👍
Thanks you!
I do not know about the splatter levels... Is it worth all the clean up🤔 may have to find a huge deep pot
Super and easy
Yes it is! And you can get creative with different flavors 👍
Thank you som much great and easy hugs from Canada
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed the video and recipe!
god lak 👍👍👍
This is how we make rava dosa in India!

How high is the heat must be? And do you need to add oil to the pan before putting the batter?
No need to add oil to the pan, just the oil in the mixture. You should use a nonstick pan. The heat should be medium high.
Excellent chef 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!
Mirip terumbu karang🤩👍
Yes, they look like corals! 🙏
@@HomeChefSeattle thanks for video cooking 😇👍
thanks a lot for the content! how mutch they last and how woul you preserve it?
I always prefer to make them fresh or the same day. They can possibly be made 1-2 days in advance and kept in an airtight container, away from humidity or with some silica gel packets.
Amazing artwork ! Can it be refrigerated as I’m thinking can it be used as cake decoration.
Hi there, to tell you the truth I have never refrigerated them, if you test it out please let me know the results.
do you need to add any oil to the skillet before you add the batter? i cant wait to try this!
Sorry for the late reply, no oil is needed on the skillet.
Молодец просто супер
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Could you use these to decorate cakes?
Yes, they can be used to decorate cakes and desserts.
Good 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
These look so coll
Thank you!
Looks great 👍 thanks for sharing. If you want to use it the next day then how to store it?
Does it get soft for a later use or stays crisp?
I recommend making this the same day. If you need to store it I would recommend placing between paper towel sheets and in an airtight container.
@@HomeChefSeattleyou have a slight typo in your response 😅😅😅
@@MimiYuYu 🤦🏻♂️ haha, fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out! 👍
@@HomeChefSeattleI’m glad you fixed it so quickly. Although it does have 3 years worth of people reading the unfortunate mistake haha.
Excellent
Thank you!
What did you put in the skillet,is that cooking oil?
I don't add anything to the skillet. Only add oil to the mixture and use a nonstick skillet. Dry the excess oil in the pan after each tuile.
Wow beautiful ❤️
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome! Love it!!
Glad you like it! thanks!
Gorgeous tuille
Thanks!
Very cool, thanks Chef !
Thanks! You are welcome, happy to share! 👍👍
Can I use olive oil? and without food coloring?
Yes, you can! 👍
hey chef, might be a silly question but did you put oil in the pan as well? don't know if thats water or oil
No oil in the pan, just in the mixture.
Can we use tis method to make sweet almond touiles?
For almond tuiles I prefer using a regular tuile recipe with egg whites, butter, sugar and flour + almonds. I assume you could try this method with the addition of a little almond extract.
How did you manage to burnout all the water without burning the material?
While the water evaporates the oil in the mixture heats up and starts to fry the flour, it happens simultaneously. 👍
How to make it sweet for drinks?
Thanks for sharing
You are very welcome!
Wow thanks so much
What is the tool you use to pick them up
It’s a pair of kitchen tweezers, but you can also just use a spatula.
Nice ❤❤❤❤
Thanks 🙏
😍😍 it's really magnificent and I will try it at home 😋😋
hi there . if i use the beetroot juice instead of water . can i leave out the food color?
Yes! You will be getting the color from the juice.
Can we use this for cakes too?😊
Thank you so much. ❤
You're welcome 😊
How long do they last after they are made?
Geht Sonnenblumenöl auch?
Yes sunflower oil works!
Can you use other oil then avocado oil
Yes, you can use pretty much any vegetable oil, neutral tasting oils are best, unless you want the added flavor.
Ok thnks a lot
Can you store them?
Yes they can be stored for a maximum of 2-3 days in an airtight container with a desiccant pack to keep them away from humidity.
How many days can i keepnusing this
They will last for a couple days of days in an airtight container depending on humidity, but they are always best fresh.
Lovely thanks
Da pra fazer outros formatos? Show!!!!
Podes fazer qualquer formato, porém como a massa e bem líquida fica um pouco difícil de controlar.
Did you put oil in the skillet first, and was the heat high or medium?
No oil is put on the skillet since there is oil in the mixture already and keep it over medium heat.
How do I make it taste ? can I make it salty or sweet ? hmm
You can add salt and spices. Either into the batter or sprinkle after frying.
You are amazing! Thank you very much!
You are very welcome! Thank you for watching!
I wonder what is in the pan it is oil?
The only oil is from the mixture, you do not add extra oil on the pan.
Do you know how to make parmesan version of this ?
Yes I have a video for the Parmesan tuiles. PARMESAN TUILE CRISPS
ua-cam.com/video/cAmPnhhFotQ/v-deo.html
I am from India .. have u used oil in the pan
No oil in the pan, only in the mixture. Cheers!
Ty😊
waw, thanks
You are very welcome! Thank you!
Can I put the batter into the silicone mold and bake it in the oven?🤔
This batter works best when fried on a skillet.
