I love how Dr Dray can absolutely love a product or brand, and still be completely ruthless and true to heart on her reviews. It's a breath of fresh air tbh.
Back when I did community theater, this was the #1 go-to product to take off stage makeup. Even heavy eye makeup. I used Kleenex tissues to wipe it off. Worked like a dream. Since I have oily skin, I always followed it by washing with a cleanser and using witch hazel toner. As always, thank you so much for your timely, real deal info posts. PS, Your make up and new haircut look terrific. 🥰👍🏻
I was introduced to Albolene back in the 70s from an elderly patient who used it to remove her makeup and moisturize. It’s too dense and occlusive for my oily, sunscreen wearing skin. I look forward to trying their new milky micellar cleaner to remove makeup in my first cleansing step. Thank you for your reviews, education, and videos. 😊
Thank you for this video. I always appreciate your honest opinions. I remember my grandmother using Albolene in the 70’s so I was thrilled to find the full size tubs at Dollar Tree. But sadly I don’t love it. It’s much too difficult to remove. Now I know why. Glad I didn’t pay full price for it.
Looove the cardigan colour and the makeup look today! I live in South Korea and your video goes live at 2am here so it’s always a pleasure snuggling in bed and watching your videos before I go to sleep :) Happy Monday Dr Dray and as always, thanks for the informative and joyful videos ☺️
Folks, don't WASH off the Albolene cleanser (the original one) . . .spread plenty of it all around yer face, then take a warm damp washcloth and WIPE it off. Then either use a lathering cleanser OR what I do, use a miceller water on a cotton pad or on a dry part of your wash cloth, and VOILA! Skin clean, not dried out, done.
Hi Dr. Dray I love when you review products I have dry sensitive skin and I have followed your advice for years, and I have to tell you I was a bit of a skincare junky until I found you. Thank you for all your great advice over the years and in these days of high inflation I am so grateful for the money you have saved me. God Bless you Dr. Dray xx
I’ve used topical tretinoin for years and the new hydrating cleanser (the pump one) is my new go to morning cleanser! It’s also great in the evening as a second step for someone who doesn’t wear heavy cosmetics; I start with a palm full of Neutrogena Body Oil, then follow with this. Clean and refreshed without any dryness!
I bought Albolene, which I had not previously ever heard of, on your recommendation. At first, I was "ewwwwww" and I wasn't sure it did much better at removing eye make-up than my Clinique or other fancy brands. But then I got into it. I wash it off with CeraVie cleanser, rinse like mad and then add Retin-A. Love it.
I have all 3 new products. I have grown tired of their cleansing balm because there's no emulsifiers. It makes it hard to handle other products because my hands are slippery. So when I use it, I have to use soap to wash my hands and my faucet handles before I use another cleanser to get it off. It's a pain in the a**. Now the hydrating cleanser came next. I absolutely love it. It's better than Avene's extremely gentle face cleanser and cheaper. Now let's get to the exciting part. The hydrating micellar milk cleanser. Holy s***. I absolutely love it. A creamy first cleanse that melts off my sunscreen. The formula is ALMOST perfect for my skin. Now if you use the hada labo cleansing oil then the hydrating daily cleanser it's an absolutely perfect pair! But, I'm torn because I love the cleansing oil and the micellar milk cleanser by Albolene. 💙
I LOVE the micellar cleanser for my first step of a double cleanse. I just couldn't make the original work, honestly didn't like any cleansing balms, but I needed something to take off my sunscreen because I will get clogged pores otherwise. Then I found this stuff. Love it.
Thank you for this, I think Albolene is amazing for makeup removal but I hate the greasy residue afterwards. I was hoping the new cleansing balm would be an emulsifying one and I’m disappointed that it’s not. Thank you for a thorough review
Yeah, same. We need more easily accessible emulsifying balm cleansers that are affordable and fragrance-free. I can't stand having to wipe the product off my face afterward, which just adds another step before the second cleanse.
I love the original Albolene, it dissolves all the makeup and sunscreen and doesn’t feel dry afterwards, I just remove it with makeup remover sponge and continue with my water base face wash and feel my skin clean and moist. I love this stuff! Thank you Dr Dray!😊
I think if you follow the instructions to wipe off w a cloth you’d enjoy the cleansing balm better. You can absolutely be very grossed out if you try to remove w water.
@Jessica M....that is my go-to as well! Albolene is great for removing make-up and that jar last forever! I probably only buy it once a year - if that. I also love Vanicream that I started using based on a Dr. Dray's recommendation and luv it.
Happy Monday! Put up my bedroom Christmas tree yesterday and love it… been feeling festive earlier this year for some reason. The living room one will wait. Have a wonderful day! 💙💕
I have to get the rest of my apartment & balcony organised before I set up my tree,. especially declutter my spare room and the space under the stairs. In a few days I have my sister living in London) staying with us (my son & I). She will have my room and I will have the spare room. I'm need a reason to have a proper clean-out, otherwise it probably wouldn't happen. I will enjoy doing the tree more if the rest of the place is in order. Then I may even set up another smaller tree? 👱♀️❤
Never seen anyone review Albolene. Friend's mother swore by it, so I bought it several years ago. Took forever to clean it off. Might try the new micellar milk cleanser.
Gunks up everything but I love it, the original formula. I wear makeup most daily, use this then follow up with vani cream face wash , and it feels super moisturizing without fragrance
I use Albolene for sunscreen removal on my body, but also, I double cleanse with it. I'll use the albolene to get the SPF off then use my normal body wash after to remove the residue.
I tried the older version,It sucks because it doesn’t melt or remove makeup it just stays stiff on my face. I have tug at my face and lashes and it just doesn’t budge. My makeup is just a smeared mess. The new formula in the jar melts EVERYTHING off my face. It becomes almost like a thin watery oil. Its softer and dissolves immediately. No rubbing involved no irritation. It removes waterproof mascara with NO tugging. It’s so much better than their original. It’s way better than my Clinique Take the Day Off. It’s better than any micellar water. I threw out All my micellar waters. I’ve tried them all. None removed all my makeup they just smeared everything around. I use the new Albolene and remove it with a cloth or baby wipe. It leaves my skin baby soft. This is a crazy miracle worker and it’s inexpensive. I’m shook. I wear a full face of makeup sometimes just tinted moisturizer. Crazy impressive
I like original Albolene. It works if you only use a tiny dot, let your skin warm it, then wash it off with warm water and a regular facewash. I used to wipe it off with a tissue, then cleanse, but even that little bit of rubbing would hurt. The micellar milk looks good.
Happy Monday! I am so impressed but not surprised that Google reached out to you to help them deliver a better platform. I like to surround myself with gifted people and I recognize you as a positive contributor in this world. We are so lucky that UA-cam has provided the opportunity for us to connect to amazing people like you!
I have been using the original Albolene for a long time to remove my makeup. Then I follow up with Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. You’re right about it leaving a mess in the sink. 😂
I tried the original and had to use a warm wash cloth and really rub to get it off-even with the double cleanse. Despite its moisturizing benefit, it made my skin feel scaly. Clinique Take the Day Off makes me scaly too. I use regular old unscented Ponds Cold Cream and a warm wash cloth then Vani cream wash for the second cleanse. Even though the cold cream is also mineral oil based, like the albolene, it leaves no residue and my face is SO SOFT afterwards.
I adore the original formulation without emulsifiers. One part I really hate about using balms or oily cleansers is that hideous film that forms when they get wet, and if they get into your eyes they can be super bothersome. With this product I am able to wash my eyes without going blind. I simply use a damp soft reusable cotton round to remove all the product throughly, then follow with a foamy wash!
Happy Monday Dr. Dray! I’ve loved Albolene since my teens. It would have been nice to see them add emulsions added but no worries I will stick with the original and my Paula’s Choice cleanser. Excellent review.
I’m glad I watched this first. I ran out of my cleansing oil and needed to find a new replacement and was looking at albolene, particularly the new one. Just placed an order for the original. Thank you Dr Dray!
At first was excited to see you review a new cleansing balm from Albolene....then to find out it's not much different, I'll pass. The original is too heavy for me and is kind of difficult to wash off entirely. So thank you for the review and heads up. 😊👍
I have just purchased this to try. As a woman in her mid 40's my skin has definitely started to dry out, but I am still acne prone. I must admit, I have used this on my hands to "wash them" during these frigid cold months, and my hands look better and more plump. To remove from face, get some woven 4x4 gauze and it comes off dreamily. Sometimes a wash cloth or cheap cotton pads or kleenex are too rough.
I love the original!! I do wipe it off with a warm rag first before using a cleanser. Im excited to try the milk though. My skin is very sensitive and prone to eczema flares from products so im glad this is gentle.
Another great review thank you Dr Dray 😊 My skin is very sensitive, I have a few beloved favorites that keep my skin healthy and happy ♥ The Neutrogena Ultra gentle fragrance free creamy cleanser, is also gentle enough to remove my eye makeup without any irritation. The Hydro Boost Hydrating cleansing gel (fragrance free) is very soothing too. I also double cleanse with the Marcelle Micellar Water , then I use either the Gentle creamy cleanser, or the Hydrating cleansing gel, my skin is so soft afterwards. Take care everyone

So classy Question: Would you take a look at Manuka honey. They are putting it in eye dops, eye cream, wound healing..... I have heard good things
I have always like the moisturizing cleanser as my first cleanse ever since I heard about it from you. And I have oily, sensitive skin. Lasts forever and very economical. I appreciate your review on the new one. I'll stick with the original. I use Cerave foaming cleanser as my second cleanse and I don't find that the Albolene leaves a residue but my skin feels so soft. Thanks for the reviews on the other products too. Happy Monday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a tranquil evening. 💕

I have been using this now for 3 yrs the original and I apply a good amount to remove my make up with a warm makeup remover cloth and repeat. I use a kelp srub ones a week to exfoliate and my skin looks better than ever I will stick to the original this and Bondi sands sunscreen are my holy grails
I feel like whenever they announced that they were going to make a new cleansing balm, everybody wanted it to be something that would be water. But it seems like with all the skin products that they came out with, they just kept missing the mark time with these newproducts
I tried Albolene three years ago, and I didn't like it. I deal with eczema and rosacea, so I decided to give it a try again (after trying countless balm/oil cleansers). I got the new Albolene, and my skin seems to enjoy it. As long as my skin does not get irritated, I am going to continue using it. The sunscreen I am using is a water-resistant mineral sunscreen, and it is quite hard to remove it, so this is helping.
I love your videos and absolutely love abolene! I use the cleansing balm and love it. The labeling is different now though from what I have compared to yours.
If you have a mind to delve into another brand to review, I'd love to know more about Zeroid brand and their different lines of products. I've never uses a moisturizer that made my skin look better than the RICHENIC CREAM they have. Should I be trying some of their other products?
Since my face is oily I try not to use that much(original Albolene), I wipe it off with a paper towel, it helps to clean make-up a little better , especially mascara, and is like a gentle exfoliator, then I wash it off with Eucerine body & face cleanser.
I wonder if they changed it to escape ... the off use that people use the original for. If you go to amazon and you read the comments for the original .... well for me it was shocking.
Dr Dray I just saw a video from City Beauty sculpting cream and it looks very promising. Can u do a review of this brand ingredients and claims? I haven't heard from them before.
She's not the biggest clean beauty fan. I'd check out Cassandra Bankson. She's talked about them in videos. I've also seen other channels talking at least about their lip products.
I was first introduced to Albolene back in 2010 when my husband applied it on his body for cutting weight in the sauna for MMA fights. I wonder what the science is behind it. I have also used it for weight-cuts myself but never for skin care.
I love how Dr Dray can absolutely love a product or brand, and still be completely ruthless and true to heart on her reviews. It's a breath of fresh air tbh.
I totally agree.
She's the balls to the walls kind of lady. I luv her.

Woah :o I’ve used the classic albolene forever, I’m really shocked they decided to change things up. It’s been pretty static for nearly 200 years.

Happy Monday Whitney ! Have a wonderful day my friend xoxoxoxo
Greetings Mary Ann Gonzalez hope u r well n Happy Monday😀👍💜….
Just purchased the hydrating daily.. I am hoping I enjoy it!! I have dry skin and use tret!
Hello Dr Dray, Happy Monday! I have a quick question. Are either vitamin E or jojoba oil any good for nail health?
Check out my video on jojoba oil
I tried Albolene three years ago, and I didn't like it. I deal with eczema and rosacea, so I decided to give it a try again (after trying countless balm/oil cleansers). I got the new Albolene, and my skin seems to enjoy it. As long as my skin does not get irritated, I am going to continue using it. The sunscreen I am using is a water-resistant mineral sunscreen, and it is quite hard to remove it, so this is helping.
I like the original Albolene BUT it seems to make my sebaceous hyperplasia worse.
It this my imagination?
It's great for removing sunscreen though!
Love Albolene original
Love original! I will try new maybe? Thanks Dr.Dray Jennifer 🤩
let me know what you think of the new formula if you try it
@@DrDrayzday I will thanks Jennifer 🤩
The only thing that can take off hevy drag makeup is the original Albolene.
The new Cera Ve cleaning balm doesn't wash off either.
I love your videos and absolutely love abolene! I use the cleansing balm and love it. The labeling is different now though from what I have compared to yours.
I wanted to try this after I’m done using up my Cerave cleansing balm. A bigger tub for cheaper.
Happy Monday ☺️ love your videos.
Happy Monday
If you have a mind to delve into another brand to review, I'd love to know more about Zeroid brand and their different lines of products. I've never uses a moisturizer that made my skin look better than the RICHENIC CREAM they have. Should I be trying some of their other products?
Hey Dr Dray! I love your Kirby plush
😂
I never heard of the albolene products.
Love your look, so beautiful and feminine.
What lipgloss are you using? I love the color!
Nars Powermatte Long-Lasting Lipstick (killer queen)
it is one from City Beauty i got at rewardstyle conference
