To see CVS generic versions of La Roche Posey products is like an early Christmas Present! They are finally speaking the language of the people. Give us high quality at decent pricing!
Omg. Thank you so much for acknowledging the trauma of having head lice. I got it really bad a couple times as a kid, and I got so much shame from the school, classmates, my parents. I’ve never heard a doctor acknowledge this before 🥺
Love love love seeing bagged cleansers. Good to see some progress on the eco front. Many organic companies are doing this in the US, but their formulas are irritating. Happy to see safe stuff getting good packaging!
Yea but at baseline (without coupons) cvs (and Walgreens!) are much expensive than Walmart or even target. It’s less of a hassle to deal with coupons and compare the price etc
I’m envious that your CVS has products accessible. My CVS has all skincare locked- you have to locate an employee to unlock the case, for all products, even the generic, inexpensive merchandise. This is in a
One more skin-related use for krazy glue that actually really helped me: apply it to your nail cuticle if you struggle with habit-tic deformity. I had major horizontal divots in my thumbnails because I pick at my cuticles so bad, and putting superglue on the cuticle helped stop me from picking at it.
Thank you for posting this! I've never been a cuticle picker, but I accidentally (& very painfully) snipped little divots next to both my thumbnails (brief career as a professional plant tech, ie "plant lady"). One has healed over totally (it was 8 years ago), but I keep picking at the hard skin on the other one, interfering with it filling in, this will really help! I realize my reply was wayyyyyy overly detailed, BUT I was hoping others with snip divots see that they can use this tip, too.
Of course they changed it the name. Since you got famous Dr Dray, I’ve realized many brands have listened what you have said. For example, many brands going fragrance free, removing some ingredients, etc. They should pay you tons! Bc here we are all listening to you!
Dr Dray, I work for CVS and you mentioned Cicaplast Balm, it is located in the Healthy Skin End cap of La Roche Posay/Vichy!!Not on the regular facial aisle.
It’s been so long since I’ve watched your videos and I just enjoy them so much… not only is the info awesome.. the way you know all the big words because you’re a dermatologist and you’re just so funny and have such a great sense of humor.. anyway that’s just my two cents worth today. I’m going to have to start watching again. I went through hurricane Ian and I haven’t stopped cleaning up since.. and I didn’t get a half as bad as some people. I feel blessed but it still was such an inconvenience to so many and tragic for others.
Please review the new Gold Bond facial products soon, and maybe some more urea education, it really is a rockstar ingredient. The retinol overnight is my new holy grail day & night cream, altho not really sure there's enough retinol to do anything. The base formula itself is incredible, it's the only thing other than petroleum jelly that will actually lock in moisture for me and keep my skin feeling hydrated hours later. And the prices are so good! I still use aquaphor over it at night, to reduce moisture loss a bit (my skin absorbs EVERYTHING, when I slug, I wake up with a nearly completely dry face).
Vanicream has come out with a new vitamin C serum that for now is only available on amazon and their own website. Would love a review some time in the future. 😊👍 I am currently testing out the Eucerin essential oil balm as a body moisturizer. I like it ok but it tends to stay a bit sticky on the skin regardless of how little I use. I prefer their Intense Repair cream and lotion. It makes my skin so soft and hydrated and lasts until my next shower. 💗 The Maybelline Tinted Oil makeup is awful. ☹ I have dry, mature skin and it settled into all of my lines, wrinkles and pores. It also dried down very quickly to a matte finish. Due to all of the plant and seed oils, it also has a strong odor which was off-putting, almost like it was rancid. 🤢
The CVS generic version of La Roche Posay cleansers are wonderful. I got a bottle at my CVS a few weeks ago and I love it! It also works really well for washing my makeup brushes.
I’ve been using the CVS dupe for CeraVe AM for ages. It’s a nice facial moisturizer with mineral sunscreen SPF 30. I think it’s a nicer formation than the CeraVe as it doesn’t pill, at least on me. It’s cheap enough you can slather it on, I do that then top it off with a DRMYLGY tinted sunscreen to take away any white cast.
Wow - loving the LRP and Amlactin generics. Those products are unnecessarily expensive. I can’t believe the Krazy Glue thing is doctor-recommended!! I knew someone who said he does that and I was horrified. I didn’t tell him not to cause I’m not a doctor…but I cringed for sure. Very interesting!
My partner had detached retinas is both eyes, on separate occassions. They were repaired at the eye hospital with Crazy Glue (aka Super Glue). It saved his sight. For the eyes though, file under: "Don't try this at home"!!! Crazy glue is used in emerency first aid to join skin together eg. in the military. Amazing hey! 👱♀️❤
I’m so glad you mentioned that you’d use Eucerin on your face. I’m always confused about that. A gal at the store told me she uses Cerave moisturizing cream on her face and I was like, Oh…. Then reached for the one labeled “face moisturizer” 😅. So, any problems doing so??? Appreciate you, Dr. dray! ❤
I always feel enjoy these shop with me videos. Its fun to see new products and what you think of them. You really do help me save money and also save time reading all of the labels. Thanks so much!! Happy Monday and Happy Halloween!! 🎃 Have a spooky evening. 👻💙👻
I’m glad to see more and more products popping up with azelaic acid as a main ingredient to treat acne. I saw that Peach Slices has a serum with 10% which I may look into purchasing sometime soon
CVS also has their own dupe for the new Aveeno Protect and Hydrate! I do love BioOil's dry skin gel but I don't use it for what it's claimed for. I just use it as a thick emollient that doesn't leave a heavy residue. Still scented though :/ I'm almost finished with the AmLactin KP Be Gone (CVS if you're reading this get on that lol) and my KP is basically gone! I think after another tube my KP will be the clearest it's been in years! Now I gotta grab that CVS dupe for the regular AmLactin. :) Oh and I grabbed the Nizoral Conditioner! It isn't scented surprisingly and super calming on the scalp!
Happy Monday Dr Dray and everyone ! Great video . I am loving the Gold Bond Pure Moisture . I recently started using Adapalene and was looking for a gentle moisturizer without many actives . I use it on my face , under eyes , neck . Have a fabulous day ! Love to mom and Tybee xoxoxoxo
Pass on the Baebody eye cream - it has done nothing for my 59 yo eyes and instead it seems to dry out the skin on me. My skin is particularly dry and sensitive. I do use timeless serums and can vouch that they work well on all areas that need hydration including my eyes.
I used the eucerin calming cream for nearly 1.5 years straight until I started getting a weird patch of eczema/psoriasis on my jawline that went away when I wasn’t using it. Very weird. I really liked it otherwise. Much more emollient than cerave moisturizer which I found was just super matte on me
I am just super happy with my vaseline petro jelly & tretinoin. Great combo. Every second there are another product coming out 😇😇. Vaseline petro is straight, no Nonsense moisturizer , only 1 ingredient. Even baby can use it
This is probably a bigger cvs, I went to one CVS a bit farther and I saw so many products I’ve never seen before in the cvs closest to me. I can spend a lot of time just browsing lol
Love the new refill bags! Less expensive over all and I'm happy to reduce plastic waste. 🌎💙👍🏽 I purchased that new Eucerin gel cream and I LOVE it! ❤️ Happy Halloween 🎃
OTC and Rx head lice treatments completely failed to eradicate head lice from my elementary-school aged kids. The only thing that worked was daily comb-through using lice comb and leave-in conditioner for longer than the life cycle of the lice. Pesticide-free treatment, and their hair was in great condition after using all the leave-in conditioner.
I knew there was a reason I was keeping my Neutrogena hydro boost cleanser bottle 😄More refill pouches for all cleansers (at least) please! Happy Halloween!! 🎃
I recently bought the Eucerin hydrating gel cleanser. There was not one thing enjoyable about it. I also bought Aveeno's new PHA exfoliator. Idk what they put in it but my nose itched so bad. After 15 minutes of sneezing and blowing my nose, I ended up with a migraine. I also purchased their new Tone and Texture lotion. It has PHA in it. This product made me itch everywhere. Ugh.
Dr. Dray, I love your videos! They are very informative. I was wondering if you could do a video on Tallow Balm.. ?? I just got some recently and heard it has some really great benefits for the skin, but like a lot of products being said to be beneficial, I’d like to know for sure and hear your take on it. Thanks 😊
Loving the new hair Dr Dray! Can you please explain what the difference is between a MOISTURE hair mask and a PROTEIN hair mask? How to tell the difference when purchasing and which ones you recommend? (I did get a giant Biolage one you had mentioned once before). Also, is leaving any conditioner on all night beneficial or detrimental? Thank you always for your invaluable content!
Good morning dr dray. Got my coffee this morning to watch this fun video. I wish you compared the ingredients of the dupe la roche posay to see how similar they are or are not. I have a moisturizer from Walmart that was suppose to be a eucerin dupe but it’s not cuz it has lanolin (the original does not and im “allergic” to lanolin. Also I swear, amlactin has tripled in price over the last few years. Is this the same as rx ammonium lactate? How can one use ammonium lactate if they have eczema
The eucerin moisturizer sounds interesting. Thanks for the clip of it in use! I was staring at the packing thinking how can it be the same if this one says lightweight while the other is more of an ointment type. Thanks dr dray. Onto the rest of my day! See you tomorrow
I am allergic to propolis -- thank you so much for mentioning these important details -- you never cease to amaze me, wonderful Dr. Dray. Have a fab day and Happy Halloween 🎃 😍💗
Is there any difference between generic brands and originals in terms of Ingredients? Don't the originals have a proprietary blend or not? Do generic brands go through the same R&D?
I realized that Women's Rogaine was making me tired. I stopped after using it after many years and began feeling like myself again. Just wondering if this is a common side effect.
Andrea, can we talk about collagen? My understanding is that it is a large molecule so how can it get through the skin from a serum or moisturizer? So many skin care products claim they can build collagen so what is the real story?
She's addressed collagen in some videos. She's said to consider collagen a humectant (ingredients that attract water to the skin) like HA, glycerin, beta glucan, urea, allantoin, polyglutamic acid, etc.
Dr. Dray, thanks for a great video. Could you review the new formulation of the La Roche Posey Cicaplast Baum B5? I have dry skin and loved the old formulation but I hear the new one is not the same for dry skin.
i think she has a video on winter skincare. depends on the weather of your area, typically if it's dry and cold outside, wear thicker moisturizers and vaseline will help a lot with dryness. sunscreen is still a must. you can avoid cleansing in the morning or use a gentle cleanser. you can also lather your hands/feet in a thick lotion and put on mittens/socks when you sleep.
Happy Monday Dr Dray! I’ve been getting ads for this Pique Tea “BT Fountain” drink that claims to have skin benefits because it contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid. I know you’ve worked with the brand before, and in fact they have your picture on the webpage for the product, but I don’t think I’ve heard you talk about this specific one. Maybe I missed it. What do you think about the claims they’re making for this product? Are there skin benefits to oral ceramides and hyaluronic acid? Thank you!
BTW I’m thinking that the Essential Oil Balm is saying that the collection of oils they’re using are essential, not that they are “essential oils”. I like using just a dab of the EOB as my last step at night. It really cuts down on flakiness and dry patches.

Surprised that so many don’t seem to know if you sign up for the CVS rewards, they give 30% off coupons nearly weekly!
Yes, I combine 2 Extracare % coupons and store coupon if avail and rewards, way below 1/2 price, Ty🥰
Yea but at baseline (without coupons) cvs (and Walgreens!) are much expensive than Walmart or even target. It’s less of a hassle to deal with coupons and compare the price etc

Added note to the 25%/30% reward coupons (receive in the mail): only good on FULL price items.
The light shining down on you is beautiful!! Our skincare angel 😇
I’m happy with the selection at cvs and Walgreens. They have brought in some good products over the last few years.
Thanks so much for keeping us all so well-informed. Because of your video, I marched myself off to CVS. ❤
My day got a little better when I found out CVS now has LP dupes:) Thanks for the video!! Btw nice haircut!
I legit won’t buy a product unless Dr Dray has reviewed it. Saved myself so much $ and know What I’m looking for

The CVS hydrating cleanser (La Roche Dupe) also makes a great body wash if you have super dry body skin!
How similar are the ingredients to the original?

Super informative and interesting with all the new products you describe for us so well. Love your new hairstyle. You look fabulous
I purchased that huge bottle of AmLactin at Costco about a month ago for about $13
I also like that the cvs dupes are cruelty free.
Thanks for the advice. I've been using the krazy glue trick on my fissures for years. Really works and really helps.
Yes to the refillable bags and the CVS dupes of LaRoche Posay….but we need the full line….bring on the balms!

BTW I’m thinking that the Essential Oil Balm is saying that the collection of oils they’re using are essential, not that they are “essential oils”. I like using just a dab of the EOB as my last step at night. It really cuts down on flakiness and dry patches.
Happy Halloween!
Please try the cvs brand generic LaRoche posay cleanser ?
Idk if you did something different with your makeup but you look really good, girl!! ❤
Happy Halloween dr dray and peeps !!!!!!!👻
