😂 can’t wait for the cerave windshield wiper fluid with ceramides!
lol
I’d love toilet paper with infused ceramides!! 🤣💖👍
Waiting for the Cerave condoms infused with hylauronic acid.
I've also noticed a shortage of drugstore cleansing balms, which is surprising considering how popular they've quickly become over the last few years. I enjoy the Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil. It does contain fragrance. However, it's very light and pleasant. I find it unproblematic in wash form for my finicky, sensitive skin. Happy, gentle cleansing, everyone!
Me too that’s what i used for double cleanse ( Neutrogena Cleansing oil + aveeno calm & restore cleanser ) i haven’t tried Dr Drays beloved Habalado oil yet … i also use fragrance free Ponds cold cream …. I can’t find these balms anywhere ?
I enjoy the Ponds fragrance free as well!
As someone with really dry skin, I find the cleansing balm experience nourishing to my skin.
I just use Ponds cold cream makeup remover, followed by CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser. It works great, and I never have problems with irritation. However, Ponds does have a fragrance-free version of their cold cream makeup remover for those with fragrance allergies.
Does Ponds just wash off in the shower? I have some but thought it had to be removed with a tissue or cloth. In the shower would be so much easier!
@@AshesOfRoses edited: yes, it can be rinsed off in the shower. However it doesn't really "emulsify", so i usually remove it with a tissue/damp cloth. Then i follow up with a regular, gentle cleanser.. 💞
This is exactly what I do, I use the fragrance free ponds. I rotate the hydrating cleanser for the CeraVe SA cleanser every other day though, to keep exfoliated and any acne away.
I love the fragrance free one!! 🙌 Pond's cold cream is so slept on these days
I loved the fragrance free version, but I haven't been able to find it for a long time. I can't tolerate the fragrance in the original. Such a bummer because it really is a great product.
I'm partial to Pond's cold cream for cleansing. I usually don't even need to use a cleanser, I find that Pond's cream with water removes everything very nicely without making my skin feel stripped
I have been using a cold cream cleanser by mama nature called 'Mother of Skin' and, like you, I feel this cream cleanser where water is added before applying, does the job nicely for me on a day to day basis without stripping my skin.
Neutrogena has a makeup remover balm called "melting balm" and I find that one to be much more soft and spreads easily with a small amount. I really enjoy that one.
Right! I absolutely love that one too. I wonder if Dr. Dray has tried it.
Agreed we are starving for cleansing balms in the US. They tend to be on the pricier side too. I currently use Burt’s Bees cleansing oil. Dissolves my makeup soooooo well. Very satisfying. Then I follow up with a gentle cleanser. I’ve also used Elf’s melting balm. Not bad at all. I didn’t even know CeraVe and Neutrogena had cleansing balms! 🤦🏻♀️
I tried the Burts bees oil, but it stings my eyes when removing my eye makeup. Maybe it was the fragrance?
Clinique has a good one, but it's a bit more pricey compared to other drugstore brands.. 💞
Agree 100% w/ Dr. Dray on how relaxing it feels to massage cleansing balm in at end of day. Ahhh… so nice! I use Clinique Take The Day Off - spendy but I watch Ulta for sales. Also agree on how effective double-cleanse is without a lot of scrubbing & rubbing which can aggravate rosacea. I’ll always use a double-cleanse now, and so appreciate Dr. Dray for teaching us about this. Seriously if you haven’t tried it, give it a whirl!
🤗 Dr. Dray I've followed your recommendation on using the "Neutrogena unscented sesame body oil" as the first step of my double cleansing routine. It works wonders! It breaks down the long wearing foundations including water proof mascara and you get more for your buck. I haven't experienced any break out either. It's great. Thank you.
Cool Tip: I transfer mine in a small spray bottle. It's very convenient for applying and traveling. I spray my face a few times, I rub it in to break down the makeup, use cotton pads for the eye area, rise off and follow with my facial cleanser (CeraVe hydrating cream to foam cleanser). I cleance 2×, one to get the residue of oil and any makeup left over and the second to truly clean. Then I proceeded with the rest of my routine.
👍
I have the same oil in a small spray bottle as well, in my travel bag. I have some in a pump bottle I use in the shower.
I kept trying new balms and oils, and have always came back to the Neutrogena sesame oil. I also love that there’s no concern about dipping into a product. It’s always a clean dispense into my palm.
Thanks for putting so many of us into it, Doc 💕
I like the sesame oil ,too, but it is not available unscented in CVS, every time I check. Any suggestions?
@@shiatsume5 I found mine at Walmart. I had never seen the unscented there before, only the one that is lightly scented, so I bought two. I just checked and Amazon has the unscented.
I've used several c balms including Korean brands. For a couple years now I just rely on E.L.F. and I bulk up when they have their on-site sales. I really am happy with it.
Honestly, I found elf to be better than the Clinique!
I rely on ELF too......then I can spend more $$ on my serums and toners. ❤️
I love the ELF make up remover balm :)
I’m a double cleanse fan! The product texture is so important! Thank you for reviewing these three products!
I used Sheisado Honeycake soap on my face since I was 19. I’m 70 now. My skin is perfect. Very few lines but a few brown spots on the drivers side of my face from sun. I wear a sunscreen lotion and foundation. Seriously, check out the Honeycake soap, it’s only sold in December now. Or Amazon
I like my HadaLabo oil best, followed by Ponds cold cream or Albolene because they remind me of my mom everytime I use them. So I'm smiling at her memory when I clean my face! Thanks, Dr. Dray!
awwwwww.. I love that...my mom used oil of Olay
Me too 💟
I still use abolene. Takes off all my makeup and is cost effective.
have you tried the new version?
@@DrDrayzday no I haven’t. But it’s on my list to try!
My two takeaways:
1. Wax brick
2. Scoopy-doodle
No7's melting gel cleanser is great coz it has grape seed oil in it and so I just use that - it kinde works as a double cleanse coz it melts away dirt and suncream and then cleanses, all in one product :D
I prefer a softer consistency like Neutrogena Balm in the blue jar. The Sephora cleansing balm is too hard to use on my eyelids. I ended up melting the Sephora balm in the microwave for 15 sec and adding some Neutrogena unscented body oil to it. It set up to a buttery soft consistency and is safe for my eyelids now. 🙈Thanks Dr. Dray for reviewing the newer Neutrogena Balm!
Imma stick to my Korean/Asian cleansing balms thank you...I ordered the Beauty of Joseon cleansing balm after you raved about it in one of your videos! 😁😁😁
Dr Dray, Neutrogena makes another cleansing balm which is less expensive and better than the one you tested in this video. It’s the makeup remover melting balm in a blue container with a white lid. Usually I find it in the same display as their makeup. Works great and I haven’t noticed any fragrance.
Just use a teaspoon as a scoopy-doodle ☺️ we dont need more plastic. ❤
I have the Clinique cleansing balm, super silky, takes off makeup easily. I love it so much! It’s not too expensive if you get the largest jar.
hmm interesting! i have the neutrogena makeup melting balm and thought that may be similar to the cleansing balm, but it definitely isn’t stiff! website says it has a “balm to oil” formulation
I Ibought beauty of joseon based on your recommendation and love it! It’s my go to along with Hada Labo, also thanks to you. But I purchased the cerave based on your review when it first came out, and I was very disappointed. Does not remove eye makeup as well as others and tiny amount for the price. You have a great track record with me otherwise, thank you Dr Dray 😉
I've been using the Neutrogena Melting Balm (it comes in a small blue tub) for a couple years and it's great! Soft enough to scoop with your finger, melts easily, and removes all my makeup and sunscreen.
I was just thinking of that product! used it up and never repurchased. loved it!! was wondering is this the same product??? or if there are 2 of them what is the difference ???
I also use the same one in the blue tub. I recently noticed this one she is reviewing and wondered what the difference was. I want a bigger tub of the blue tub formula.
@@maryannbarrett6696 Yes, they are separate products. The one she reviewed in this video is brand new. The first one comes in a 2 oz light blue container with a white lid. You can find it in almost every drugstore (CVS, Walgreeens) as well as most big box retailers (Target, Walmart, Ulta). Of course, Amazon has it like everything else.😀
I love these comparisons- and clearly we don't want that stiff one! 💜💜💜
thanks for watching
ive been using korean cleansing balms for several years and they are my absolute go-to. always buy them on yes style... its a bit of a wait but the prices are great (even cheaper than american products) and quality is amazing
I use the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Melting Balm. It melts from balm to oil very easily and may have more of the texture you like, Dr. Dray.
Yeah this one is superior
100% agree...I use the one in the 2 oz light blue container with a white lid. It melts like magic and is so soft and silky on my face. Not to mention, it gets the job done without any unnecessary fragrances and fillers. Just wish Neutrogena made a larger version-this is absolutely one of their best kept secrets.
My favorite. I tried a couple of others and kept coming back to this one. It melts makeup easily and rinses well.
I like this one too. Plus it pleasantly smell likes candle wax, somehow?
I've recently rediscovered Pond's Cold Cream.I used it back in the 60s to remove my make-up and then I'd wash with Phisoderm. Now I'm using it for the first step and washing up with either Cerave or Cetaphil. LOVE!!
I forgot about Phisoderm!
My grandmother used Ponds all her life. Her skin was beautiful until she passed at 101.
@@jessicadudley5087 Ponds and Vaseline, all we really need
Dr Dray, I’ve been loving the Neutrogena Unscented Light Sesame Oil that you suggested a couple of years ago as a first step in a double cleanse. Absolutely love it. Absolutely love your channel! ✨❤️✨
it works well!
I've had really good luck with that one too!
I agree! It works good for me. No break out either.
im still using it too! one of my fav hacks from Dr D!
My second bottle from Amazon arrived last night. My first 8.5 fl oz bottle lasted 18 months!
My new Favorite Word : ScoopieDoodle! 😂 I love it so much!!
I started using cleansing balms couple of years ago and now it's my favorite step in the skincare routine too. My favorite so far from what I have tried is Good molecule cleansing balm.
Yes!!!!! That is my holy grail !!
I cant believe Cerave is selling a 1 oz cleansing balm for $12 lol that’s ridiculous.
Right? Im missing the old days when drugstore pricing was cost effective
I use this and it takes such a small amount. I’m really cheap and feel like this is worth the money
@@treasureslayer3049 most non-travel sized cleansing balms are 3 oz or so. For $12/oz you can get a Farmacy one
This is actually a very good cleansing balm! I really enjoy using this one I was using the glow recipe one before I started this one! And yes they are pretty much in the same price range if you were to get a bigger size of this one you would pay pretty much the same price as glow recipe! But I have to say it takes such a very small amount to actually clean your entire face but I also go in with a second cleanse so. I really enjoy using it and once again because it doesn't take a whole bunch it does last so it is worth the price you get a lot of great ingredients in it and it is super gentle on your face and it really does clean your face properly! I use prescription Retin-A Tretinoin Cream! So I have to use products that are very gentle for my sensitive skin that is made even more sensitive due to this prescription extremely powerful cream! So for me this is very good at a very good price! You don't need a big giant glob of it and I think that's where people are thinking that it's overpriced because they use cleansing balms wrong! The point of it is you're using it as a second cleanse at night meaning you will use another cleanser afterwards so you do not need to use a big giant glob to make this effective! You literally only need a pearl size to go over your entire face and then you will go in with another cleanse! I actually use the cleansing balm first then I use another cleanser and then I actually use a third one with a lot of hyaluronic acid in it! I use a ton of sunscreen everyday I use more than the recommended amount because once again I use very powerful prescription creams from my dermatologist so I like to make sure my face is very protected during the day! I don't use a lot of makeup I only do a full face of makeup if I'm going on a date night with my husband or on a special occasion I used tinted sunscreen during the day and clear brow gel and I use a lip balm or lip oil and that's it! But if you're not using the proper amount of sunscreen everyday then it doesn't matter what you're doing to your skin or what you're using because it's all pointless! I spend my high in dollars on quality sunscreen! My prescription Retin-A Tretinoin Cream it's not covered by my Blue Cross Blue shield because I don't use it for acne I have never had acne luckily I use it for cosmetic reasons for anti-aging so I pay full price for that prescription! And that prescription cost me almost $500 for one tube! But that tube last Me 3 months! So my point was this is not a expensive cleansing balm it's actually very affordable when you get into real skin care and use real powerful ingredients especially when you go to a dermatologist and get prescriptions and do other anti-aging treatments like I do laser treatments that's where real money comes in that's where you should put your real coin into is those prescriptions and treatments!
@@JigglyPuff777 try using good rx to reduce the cost. Dr dray has a video
After cleansing my face twice with the Neurogeana cleansing balm, I returned it to Sam's Club. Yes, it was a good price at 2.6oz for TWO jars of the balm for around $15, BUT, I agree with Dr. Dray that it was a very hard product to move around on a dry face to start the dissolving process in the shower. ALSO, the fragrance was a SMELLY one. My jar smelled RANCID...ugh. There were reviews online saying the same thing about the smell, but I thought I'd try it anyway b/c of the price point. Like Dr. Dray says, you get what you pay for!
The Neutrogena I purchased is great not hard at all ,very silky actually is my experience..thanks for all your content.
may depend on the temp of your bathroom/where ever you store it. mine has a big vent and it's always warm so I'm going to try it!
Hi,yeah,I really love it:)Hopefully, you love it too...let me know what you think,if you don't mind.good day
I have used inkeylist oat cleansing balm for years now based on your recommendation. I ❤it and often give it as gifts. I use vanicream facial cleanser as the second step.
I couldn't get into the oat cleansing balm at all. In fact, I ended up giving it away. I feel like it didn't wash off as well as other cleansing balms and I didn't like the smell either. Farmacy Green Clean is my favorite so far.
@@kevenpeoples yes farmacy🤍
I’ll stick with the big tub of Albolene. It works for me. ☑️
My favorite first step cleansing remains Hada Labo, though if my skin feels drier in the winter, I’ll use a cleansing balm, then finish up with a LaRoche-Posay or Cetaphil cleanser. I was hesitant to use anything oily as a first cleanse because I have oily skin in warm weather, but the cleansing oil works well, takes off all my sunscreen and emulsifies, then rinses well. So, thanks, Dr. Dray, because I wouldn’t have tried a cleansing oil without your review.
I’ve never seen that particular neutrogena cleanser. I have got the blue container called makeup remover melting balm to oil (Amazon has it), from neutrogena. I really like that one. A lot smoother and melts quickly. Doesn’t irritate my skin. I didn’t realize they had two different kinds. 🤔
Me, too. I don't understand the need for this one? The one in the blue container is awesome.
I believe the new one in the white container was just released a few weeks ago. I'm definitely sticking to the blue container given Dr. Dray's review.
Hi. Bases on your older videos, I'm stuck on Neutrogenas fragrance free body oil. The only other cleansing oil is Burts Bees, 15.99 for very small bottle, doesn't last long no matter how sparingly you use it. Thanks!
I love the CeraVe cleansing balm, has made a huge difference in the “feel” of my skin. It has been exactly 1 yr since my new skin has been born. Thanks to Dr Dray and my derm. Going through Mohs surgery, healing from that, laser treatment and micro needling, and of course the normal cleansing, moisturizing, topical Vit A, and sunscreen EVERYDAY. My skin looks beautiful, clear, bright, and my scar is not noticeable. My point is, be patient and it will come. Thank you Dr Dray and my derm Dr M. ❤❤
Your sweater and lip stick color is one of the most flattering I've seen on you:)
Paulas choice has an omega cleansing balm in a TUBE, so there’s no need for a scoop. I love it.
The lack of cleansing balms in US drug stores is so true! I have bought the Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm ($10) online for years and it seems to work well for my sensitive and acne prone skin. One of the few skincare products that I’ve been brave enough to venture outside of the CeraVe, Cetaophil, Eucerin realm for (besides prescription topics from my derm)
I love the cleansing balm from Sephora brand. Best price and works!
If I can advice you a drugstore cleansing balm available in Canada is Soap&Glory cleansing balm. I think it is available in US too. However, I have a very sensitive with a little rosecea skin type and I really enjoy this one. It's around 20$ and I keep repurchasing it. I find it hard but soft to take it and easy to work it onto the skin. I use the Aveeno mineral spf 50 and sometimes the Zorah mineral tinted spf 30. It does a great job, no issues with it and then I follow with my gentle cleanser. 😊 thanks for the video though.
Scoopydoodle! I love it!! I also agree with you! I recently purchased the Elf cleansing balm and it was fairly hard to get to break down quickly and was stiff like Neutrogena. I hate taking the time to wash my face at night (after getting 7 little ones between 2-9 yrs old to bed I just want to sit down and then fall into bed!) it drives me crazy to have to dig a balm out and rub it on my face forever before it gets oily. Thanks so much for your info! I definitely rely on you to know what's going to work - and what the experience is like for all products! 💜
Seven little ones! That's awesome. I have five boys and my spread is greater (3 to 13). I love them and they exhaust me! The oil part of my double-cleanse is like a facial massage and makeup remover in one. My night isn't the same without it!
I Love cleansing balms, my holy grail is the Elemis Collagen Naked cleansing Balm. It’s absolutely amazing feels luxurious rich and gentle. 👍🏻🙏🏻
What about Albolene? It's cheaper than both of these ($11 for 6 oz), has Jojoba Oil & Shea Butter, fragrance & paraben free, and is non-comedeogenic. All the drag queens use it too, so it's super great for makeup removal!! 🤩
"...if they come out with toilet paper, they are going to have to put ceramides in it"... Daily snark has been achieved. Plus a new addition to the vernacular: "scoopydoodle". Does the fun never end? ;^)
Dr.Dray: Very serious and well thought out review.
Also Dr.Dray: "scoopydoodle."
🤣
She’s so funny with minimal effort! Neutrogena waxy brick got me.
I use a simple mineral oil as my first pass. Without rinsing, I follow up with an unscented liquid facial cleanser. Finally I rinse. Works as well as a cleansing balm for me.
I use sheamoisture raw honey cleansing balm. It is awesome for dry skin.
I love Cereve cleansing balm. It feels so good on the skin. I’ve not tried other ones bc I am honestly satisfy with it and the price. Cereve night cream and Cereve balm are two holy grails for me.
I found a cleansing balm that I bet noone has tried yet...and if anyone has...I have yet I hear about it..the Hatomugi Cleansing and Pore Clear. I got it on Stylevana and my god is it fantastic. Sorbet texture...very very silky and no fragrance. I believe it's the same brand that makes Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner. Guys...go buy it.
The company is Kumano Cosme and the brand is Reihaku. Hatomugi is the ingredient. The product you mentioned is not made by Naturie, but by Reihaku.
Sloths come with inbuilt scoopy-doodles, but imagine how difficult is for them to use the Neutrogena balm! 🦥
Btw, I have a back-up supply of a (discontinued) cleansing balm that I snapped up for AU$1 a tub...which also included a scoopy-doodle! It is a bit thick in consistancy, but I don't mind at that price; but it's also favourable for removing waterproof mascara. Having it at the ready, gives a new meaning to home shopping.
My skincare stash is a lot easier to shop now that it is all organised into categories.
👱♀️❤
Regarding the scoops for the balm, I keep a little butter spreader from the kitchen for the jarred moisturizers that I use.
Me too!
I recently purchased the Neutrogena cleansing balm, but it is in a pale blue tub. It seems to be softer than the one you demonstrated in this video. They must have heard you and reformulated their balm. I have mature skin and I love the Honey cream from Pharmacy and it has a magnetic spatula that rests on the lid. I save this glass container and refill it with other night creams. It is such a great design. Thanks for all of your great information.
Yes, the buttered toast is pleasant. 😊
I still love the farmacy! And they have a great scoopy doodle.
The Farmacy smells devine. It’s like an aromatherapy treatment. I love it.
The simple cleansing oil has been my holy grails it's so good!
Neutrogena had a cleansing balm that I loved and it was not thick like the one you have reviewed. I think they must have reformulated the original balm. Why? I hate when companies have a good thing and then ruin it.
My Neutrogena was grainy
Ok, ME TOO! It is actually one of my favs. It comes in a blue container. They STILL have it and I am so confused. It is called Makeup Remover Melting Balm. Why this new one? Very weird.
@@AMYOLSENSCHOO I agree! I'm thinking I will get some while I can before it disappears from the shelves
I can see me with the hard balm trying to scoop it out then it just falls into the sink. But I like the price and it will work. Love a scoopydoodle
Lol me too
Many years ago Selma Hayak had a beauty brand and it was my first experience with a cleansing oil and I loved it. It was only available through CVS so good price point but I guess it didn’t do very well because it doesn’t exist anymore. I went to the Josie Maran cleansing oil and I really loved it and still do… But I find Cereve cleansing balm a very good experience and much less expensive and I do love the butter smell lol. Shes Moisturize has a pretty good balm u can get at the drug store too and it’s pretty soft and fragrance free.
I love the TONYMOLY peach punch cleansing balm, the packaging is also adorable
I haven't tried either of these yet. At this point I think I'll stick to Albolene (my fav), the Inkey List or the Elf cleansing balm. All of these work great for me but Albolene is cheap and the large tub last a long time. Thanks so much for the review and helping me save money! Happy Monday, Dr Dray!! Hope you have a tranquil evening. 💕
That red sweater looks lovely on you. That shade suits you.
Oh my God at the very beginning i immediately thought beauty of joseon, kudos to Dr. Dray and thank god we have it here in Greece oh lord thanks for that tip can't wait to try it and tell my POV 🙏😊😇☺️😍🇬🇷. Battle of the titans cerave vs neutrogena yeah. But with elegance comes beauty of joseon ❤️😉. So thrilled and hyped right now.
Just ordered some beauty of josean cleansing balm. Can’t wait to try. And it’s so much cheaper!
Hope you like it!
Juvia's Place cleansing balm is more pleasant to use than either the neutrogena or the cerave in my opinion. It does have a very slight pineapple scent- which I like- and comes with a scoopy-doo!!! I am liking their serums too( Juvia's Place-The Glow and the Afterglow) so far, too. The price point is very close to these drugstore brands, but they offer more luxe. Their make-up, eye shadows, etc.- beautiful , can't be beat. Also in my opinion. Maybe you could test drive some of the afore-mentioned! Thanks, doc Dray, for this and other content!
The Krave Beauty Cleansing Jelly is pricier, but it’s very gentle on my eyes. No residue! Highly recommend!
Scoopie doodle is my new favorite phrase! TFS! 💜
Thanks Dr Dray. Love, love, love Clinique's Take the day off balm. I don't need much to get an enjoyable and effective first cleanse. For travel I have the small CeraVe which is not as luxurious, but gets the job done.
I use Eucerin Hydrating Cleansing Gel as a cleansing agent. I apply it dry to my face first to break up the makeup/spf, then add water and it suds up. WORKS GREAT. No fragrance. No residue left behind when rinsed off.
I also have used Neutrogena Ulta Light Cleansing Oil and even though it works well, it has frangrance (smells like green apple candy) and I have to use like 5 pumps to have enough to work with.
Where do you buy the eucerin hydrating cleansing gel in the us?
I like Juno skin cleansing balm. Very soft, spreads easily, does a great job of removing even waterproof mascara.
Comparable price, Calf based company.
Love the “versus” episodes! Can we get one on the next step, the cleanser you use after the balm?
Hi Dr Dray happy to be here on Monday for Dr Dray time i live for this❤
Hope you like it!
I use Pond’s cold cream to remove the racoon eyes.
Omg, toilet paper and windshield fluid with ceramides!! 🤣 You really crack me up, Dr. Dray!!
Dr dray I bought a cleanser that said it was fragrance free and for sensitive skin but later found out it contains eucalyptus oil, why do companies do this?😩 also thank you for always answering my questions, sorry I always have a lot of them lol 😇
i think b/c eucalyptus has preservative function
@@DrDrayzday oh ok I see..very interesting.
I had that experience with First Aid Beauty’s moisturizing cream. I loved the texture, but it made my face flame red. Definitely the eucalyptus oil.
I'm still using my first ever cleansing balm. I'm tempted to try the CeraVe & beauty of Joseon but I love that the Inkey List oat cleansing balm comes in a squeeze tube instead of a jar
I love the B.O.J. and the IL Oat Balm, I also like the Drunk Elephant balm (3 tubs so far). I have the CeraVe balm, but it irritates my eyes and makes them itchy. So I’m kinda a just using it up on face only.
@@Wendelia I just don't get why the other brands use the inconvenient jars. CeraVe even has their ointment in flip top tubes. I do love the boj sunscreen & de moisturizer so it is tempting
Omg yes!!!! I absolutely ADORE The Inkey List’s version!!! I mean just the squeeze bottle packaging and price alone sells it for me. But then you throw in the ingredients and formula, not to mention the fact that you can also use it as a nourishing mask!!
Does anyone else remember Pond’s cleansing balm?? They actually came out with it a few years ago but it’s since been discontinued. Not sure why as it was an allure Best Of Beauty award winner in 2018. I mean the price was literally around $5 or $6 for 3.5oz!! The formula was very nice - silky, smooth and did an excellent job of removing waterproof makeup and sunscreen alike. It washed off clean without leaving any residue and the only gripe I had with it was the scent. It was very HEAVLY fragranced. However if it were still available today I would definitely purchase it.
I like the Neutrogena Makeup Removing Melting Balm. In blue container. I get it at Walmart. It's about $11 for 2 oz.
I really like Banilaco cleansing balm as it’s so silky smooth but it has fragrance which might be irritating for some people. Personally, I don’t have any problems with fragrance in it so I really enjoy the smell and it takes off my makeup effectively.
I can only use mineral sunscreen on my face and an oil based remover first is an absolute must for me! That stuff never comes off otherwise
My fav is a cleansing balm from a brand called Kaea. It’s quite expensive but incredible skin care from a really sustainable company.
Wow earliest I’ve ever been in my life! Thx for the content Dr Dray!
Thanks for watching!
If you have long nails, especially artificial ones, you use the top of your nail(s) to scrape the product out. Like a closed fist to flat hand position so it doesn’t get under your nails at all. The nails actually make it a bit easier to scrape more firm products.
Pond's fragrance free cleanser cold cream is at Walgreens. Noxema (original) cold cream is everywhere.
Elf's balm is pretty good.
I switched from my Korean cleansing balm to using Cerave hydrating cleanser as my first cleanser. I did this years ago bc I couldn’t find a cleansing balm in US stores. I follow with a low ph foaming cleanser. Anyway, the hydrating cleanser is inexpensive, removes makeup, isn’t stripping, and is unscented. It also has a pump. It’s not luxurious but it works and it’s easy
I also use the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser as my first cleanse. I use it dry, like a cold cream, and it breaks up my eye makeup pretty well.

Happy Monday, Dr. Dray. I got the CeraVe Cleansing Balm and I quite like it. It will be convenient for travel. The Neutrogena Body Oil I used to use leaked all over the place in my travel bag. It does work well too, though. Have an awesome day 💗
Would you ever try the Naturium SPF? Or Dieux Deliverence serum or the dieux moisturizer? Interested in your thoughts on those.

Dr. Daniel Sugai has recommended the l'oreal product. She has videos on layering so does Dr. Shereene Idriss, Doctorly, etc.
@@db-gb5xi thanks i watch him as well but i didn't know he recommended it but thanks for the info
the Derma E Cleansing Balm is really nice! I love it a lot!
I know this will be controversial… but Jeffree Star has the best cleansing balm. It has a magnetic “scoopy doo” that goes on the lid and the balm smells sooo good but not overwhelming scented ! (strawberry)
It’s expensive but it doesn’t take much.
But when I ran out of it, I got the one from Elf and it is good also 💜
Thank you for comparing these because I’ve been looking for a balm& was getting ready to get the Clinique but it’s so expensive!🥰
I use the back of my thumb nail to scrape a little of the Neutrogena Cleansing Balm. Works beautifully and melts easily when using a smaller amount.
I have been using the original “Banila co clean it zero cleansing balm” for years (the pink one) and it has worked so well on my combination oily skin. I decided to try the CeraVe cleansing balm and still felt Banila co was top tier. Banila is more cost effective in my opinion and it lasts for several months. The CeraVe is super tiny (1.3 oz)!
That’s the travel size.
Happy Monday, Dr. Dray. ❤😊
