I’ve seen multiple videos where they don’t remove the battery they just make sure to dry it that’s all, after all rain goes in like crazy while we drive in the rain we just don’t see that because next time we check our engine bay and with all the heat that happens in there it just dries up quick
Idk if I like the insulation from under the hood getting wet, I just got a wet microfiber tower and diluted a little bit of degreaser in a bucket of water and it cleaned the inside of the hood like nothing without having to risk all the sensors
The alternator is at the bottom of the engine and always gets wet, the fuse box is sealed, and the battery is waterproof. This is 2018, stuff is high tech.
lol just use gunk engine foam will clean that oil mixed dirt off the hood like nothing the degreaser your using is not vary good at cleaning oily dirt I tried it under my diesels f350 hood with no luck then switched back to gunk and works great.
This is his product line now , he is not with chemical guys anymore , I think he rushed the whole cleaning process for the engine should take more care and do a more professional job ( there is no quick clean on that engine!), there is a lot of professional detailers on UA-cam today showing there favorite products and techniques, plus making there own line of products , the car detailing market is getting flooded he has to step up his game
Im in NY and i get alot of salt kicked up in my engine area in my truck but im afraid to clean it in case of getting electronics wet. So my question is is see this guy is not worried at all so I assume you can clean the entire engine ?
You should at least cover the alternator with a plastic bag. Cheap degreaser like purple power is ok but after that, I would use Ammo Boost and do a light rinse after to reduce rust if you get a lot of salt.
No one having a BASIC knowledge how electricity works will ever do that...Water on your battery, all the cables, ECU, fuses ?!? You know that this is not waterproof right? It's the same if you put your car in the swimming pool. Wtf..

a side by side of BEFORE and AFTER would have really really been helpful. I was not able to decide if this crap is good or not. Was using another product on top of the foam soooooo I say this is a FAIL for product review imo
