Been watching for a while now and just wanna say your videos have gotten better and better over the years , cutting the fluff with still being personable. Keep it up man! By the way nice Goros pieces👍🏾
I'm interested in hearing about Champion's reinvention and how companies with a similar, previously lesser image in society have risen to become more than their origins.

Love your videos! When I first saw them as one half a cool collab, I was shocked. When I was growing up, Champion was a trash label (kinda like Hyundai and Kia, both of which have successfully rehabilitated their images as well, particularly for younger buyers). I'd love to see a deeper dive on how Champion was able to reinvent themselves.
In London Champion was cool about 5 years ago but is now mainly worn by school children (along with North Face). It went down hill when it went on a cash grab with cheaply made and cheaply sold sweatshirt splattered with oversized repeating logos cheaply printed in to cheap material. Ironic as their high quality reverse weave sweats are what made them desirable in the first place. At that stage it was promoted heavily in outlets such as JD sports which cater to what some people unkindly label 'ch_vs' but don't only often if see them wearing it so much now or anyone over the age of 16. The place I see it mainly now is on the rails of TK Maxx.
What is your take on the brand Taion for lightweight puffer/down pieces? I got a few of their items and they are pretty cheap, with a price comparable to Montbell
I used to think in order to get quality products I need to spend more money until I found out about American Eagle and Jack & Jones brands. Got 2 tshirts from American Eagle, after washing them and wearing them 1000s of times, now the colour off the tshirt fading barely
When I visited Japan in March I kinda fell in love with GU. It has the same vibe as Uniqlo, since it's basically a part of the Uniqlo brand, but with more trendy and daring pieces. Also is it even a bit cheaper than uniqlo?
I like champion but hate when they want to do big designer type logos Super cheap and childish looking No I don’t want a huge logo the size of my chest on my hoodie 2:58 example (lol didn’t even watch this part when commenting and I knew people instantly would see what I meant)
For me COS has too many clothes made in China so I don’t shop there… or at least that was the case few years ago. Last year during my trip to Japan I bought one shirt at a very small boutique and brand called Time Is On and I am very happy with the quality… as I understood they make everything in Japan. I just spotted their boutique while walking. I have also bought a shirt at Takeo Kikuchi from their 40ct collection with a beautiful pattern on it and also made in Japan. I will check some of these 3 Japanese brands you put together and perhaps will buy something during my next visit there :)
FoG essentials, nope. I like Jerry but I think their color pallet is too basic. Uniqlo, yeah okbut the availability in canada is trash. Champion, love Champs, nothing bad too say I got 30 years crewneck that I can still wear. Everything else is pretty much non existent in canada so I’m not gonna VAT them .
Been waiting for you to mention Journal Standard, Urban Research and Nano Universe. Love those brands. Glad they're getting the love from your channel :) Relume. Sonny Label. Homestead. Sense of Place. Edefice. All really interesting stuff. Would be also interesting to know why big brands like these have so much sub labels. I mean why is this a thing in Japan? Keep up the good work Reggie !
Uniqlo quality is absolute trash now. I still have clothes I bought 10/15 such as a Uniqlo U hoodie but everything I have bought in the last couple of years has been complete trash. Badly cut jumpers that had extreme bobbling and shrinkage after washing (yes I did follow instructions!). Socks that a bought 2 years ago are already are already having to thrown away due to holes developing. Underwear so uncomfortable I had t throw it out. I use to buy a Uniqlo down jacket every couple of years - I loved them. But I noticed how the quality was falling year on year. My most recent one for instance has no storm flap backing up the front zip, but worse is a lack of inner collar which means it's often drafty around the neck area. This year's edition of their 'down jacket' is not even down - the fill is 100% synthetic. I used to also buy quite a few Oxford shirts from them too but every time I have tried them on in the last couple of years the cut has been really bad and the material really thing and cheap feeling.
COS menswear selection has been abysmal of late and they kept repeating the same silhouette with different fabrics/colours. They do offer value for money good quality stuff like workwear suits but they're severely lacking in their casual wear. They need to start embracing the fact that times have changed with how men dress these days and it need not be just dull funereal clothes.
I still don't get the Champion thing. It was Walmart clothes that got you made fun of. It was about as cool as Payless. Then I see them making $100 sneakers and kiss going ape over it.

COS is also made in Portugal, for the most part, if you needed that extra bit of info for certification of the quality.
Portugal is the Bangladesh of Europe

Levi’s for the win. And not just jeans; hoodies, cardigans,
Shirts, shorts, Varsities, wool crewnecks, you NAME IT.
Real value for money.
thanks for the recommendations! an episode on champion would be interesting
Abercrombie used to be a trashy brand but now has some good quality items.
I 2nd this opinion. They have definitely upped their game recently.
Yes, Abercrombie is actually pretty good
Bro, a couple of years ago you couldn’t pay me to wear Abercrombie. Now I have a bunch of pieces from them and am looking to buy more 🫣
Love your videos!

I love my journal standard pieces I got in JP last year 🙏

Champion, in the US, in part has been for years, elevated by Todd Snyder.
COS is the only 'fast fashion' label I buy from currently, very much agreed. I only buy women's tho, the mens offerings are sad
The Casual: You can't go past COS!
My Bloodborne brainrot: Or some say, Cosm...
Orphan of COS
What is that jacket (or brand) for the trenchcoat on the cover? That is hard
Ditto
Still love this channel.
inspiring, thank you
2 more brands to add Market in a similar vein to Cos and US brand Everlane, responsibly sourced high quality well styled and good price point.

the quality is noticeably worse imo
Its cheaper in price and quality. Kinda like forever21 in my opinion
If you like COS, you should like ARKET, which is an other brand of the H&M group
Laughed out loud at FOG Essentials after seeing all the peeling graphics and terrible QC lately
"Yearly Uniqlo +J line"?
The sizing of COS is awkward for Asians. Hard to find the perfect fit for me. But I like to go there and shop and find some gems.

Unexpected threeway 😂
Well affordable IS NOT in the same category for each person, what's affordable by Bill Gates obviously ain't the same affordable by my standard.
bruh isnt fog essentials terrible for quality for price
I still can't wear champion
I need to pump my prices if this stuff is considered "affordable" LOL
seriously why is essentials on here with 100$ sweatpants and 50$ tee-shirts.
@@rotm4447 prices have gone so out of hand that even H&M is starting to get expensive.

lol are we really putting essentials on this list? 👀
I’d like to add Aritzia is also a really nice brand that’s affordable.
The quality is not consistent at all!!
Cant believe you left out Loro Piana 🤦♂️
Affordable?
How is super Dry?
Its great for people with no taste at the age of 40-70

I would guess to appeal to as many markets as they can.
" try hard"!? maybe within subcultures , I always thought of their's as the very definition of effortless style/elegance...

nah, they're doing their thing. They're trying to be Asket/UNIQLO. H&M has other brands to sell clothes to the youth.
